I personally think Lakeside is MUCH better than Bluewater because there is a much better selection of shops at lakeside. Much better for Christmas shopping unless you want to buy everyone clothes or overpriced pap from the disney store at bluewater. read more

Lakeside is a very large shopping centre and in my opinion better than Bluewater. It is closer for me any seems to have a better array of shops. I last went in the run up Christmas (probably 4 weeks before) and it was very busy. We struggled to find somewhere for lunch that didn't have people queuing out the door. Obviously not the centre's fault it was so popular that day but it did spoil the experience for me. I managed to get everything I wanted that day which is unusual and goes to show that there is a very wide range of shops there that should cater for almost everyone. read more

I often used to go to Lakeside shopping centre before Bluewater was built and to be honest it is still my favourite as it has far more down to earth shops. Lake side has most of the same designer shops that Bluewater has but it also has the ordinary ones like Argos and BHs and it has a Debenhams which Bluewater does not. In addition i like the stores on the retail parks surrounding lakeside like ikea and Decalthlon and could easily spend all day round these. They have recently opened a Marks and Spencer seconds outlet and there is also a Next outlet both of which are very good. The only downside for me is the price of the Dartford Tunnel which has now gone up to £1.50 each way which is a bit much. read more

Lakeside Shopping Centre has a big variety of stores including upmarket. Less pretentious than Bluewater. Has something for everyone. Lots of places to eat. Exits from some car parks, especially no. 6, difficult at closing time when the centre is busy due to people ignoring the no right turn signs which seem to be in the wrong place. Huge improvement at The Boardwalk. Really good place to eat. read more

Huge shopping centre similar to Bluewater in Kent but less designer shops so this is much more affordable. I recommend the giant Primark - it has 3 floors! Also has a food court but the best bit is the boardwalk which is a collection of restaurants outside that stay open after the centre has shut. read more

This is the second biggest Primark i have ever seen compared to the one on Oxford Street. It has a massive range of clothes,shoes,accessories,nightwear,homeware etc. Once you find something you like its better to just buy it then, as you wont find that item for a while or ever again. The staff are very helpfull and serve customers veryy quickly. Primark is a budget store so all the prices are very reasonable. read more

Lakeside is a large shopping centre near the Dartford crossing. I like the fact that it has all the usual high street shops but larger. There is a fantastic Primark it is huge. There are plenty of restaraunts and fast food outlets for refreshments and lots of free parking spaces. It can get a little crowded at times but if you get there early in the day it isn't too bad. It is great for Christmas shopping as there is such a vast variety of shops. read more

Visited this Primark last week and although Christmas is coming soon you would have thought it was the next day! People were going mad to the point of trampling each other to get the bargains that are to be had in Primark's Lakeside store. They have massive departments inside and it is set over several floors with easy access via lifts and escalators. The checkouts, despite all being in use and manned to capacity were coping well with long queues which although daunting to the eye seemed to clear very quickly. Beautiful selection of christmas dec's and a homewear section too. Comparing to the other Lakeside shops and prices this might be the only reason to visit as certainly none of the others had anywhere like so many customers - superb! read more

This is still one of my favourite centres. Beats trying to brave the weather on the high street, especially in Winter. Big positive for me is the Primark and the Argos. The IKEA adjacent to the centre makes it even more of a positive. Food court also excellent. The Pizza Hut in the food court normally has great family deals. The last time we went I was able to relax at the Costa Coffee in the Waterstones with a book while my wife shopped. This centre has all the shops you really need, parking is user friendly and convenient. There is a huge House of Fraser and Debenhams. It has two of a few stores eg. WH Smith, Game. There is also an Apple store which is a big plus. read more
