I didn't eat them--I sent them back and politely asked for them to be removed from the bill. My friend got a box for his food and despite the experience, still left a tip. When we walked to our car, the waiter and other staff members proceeded to flip us off, give us thumbs-down gestures, and stare us down through the windows until we drove away. Why should I be expected to pay for or eat something I didn't order? Mistakes happen, but treating customers this way for respectfully addressing a mistake is extremely immature and unprofessional. Customers spend their hard-earned money to support your business and deserve basic respect. Your staff represents your business. If management allows this kind of behavior to continue without addressing it, it reflects poorly on the entire establishment and sends the message that treating customers this way is acceptable.
