The treatment went uneventfully and I fully recovered. The course of treatment required several visits but each time I was actually eager to see Dr. Cohen and his wonderful staff. I happened to be a doctor myself and can't emphasize enough the professionalism and the level of customer service at CNS. Highly recommend this clinic.

I am writing this review following the second last-minute cancellation of my tilt table test. Both…read morecancellations occurred within an hour of my scheduled appointments. For the most recent instance, I was already in the waiting room when I received a phone call notification ~20 minutes before the test. The practice chose to call me to cancel rather than coming to the waiting room to speak with me in person and treat me like a human. To prepare for these tests, I was required to discontinue several pain, sleep, and mental health medications (both times). Stopping these treatments caused increased pain, emotional volatility, severe lack of sleep, and heightened symptoms leading up to the test. Then they cancelled the test for a second time about 20 minutes before I was scheduled to have it completed. At the end of the unempathetic, rushed cancellation call, they lied again, promising they would follow up and call to reschedule. Not a single promised follow-up call happened.  Following the cancellation call, I called back to cancel my follow-up appointment for the test they cancelled on me and reached their voicemail. In a fog of pain, exhaustion, and frustration, I acidentally said "f***" on the voicemail. Just like that, I was dropped as a patient. I found out I was dropped not because they contacted me, but when I called to reschedule the tilt table test they had now cancelled twice. A test for which they had made me stop taking medications twice.  I apologized in that call for the word used on the voicemail asked for an appeal and they said they would have a manager call soon, which did not happen. I then emailed an apology, restated my request for appeal, and noted exactly the events that led up to the emotional distress they caused me through repeat cancellations and lack of follow-up that led to a common word used to express frustration slipping in. Note: no sleep, high pain, flaring symptoms, and repeated loss of hope will do that to anyone. That is not hard for anyone with empathy to understand. But they could not. Their emailed response (which I was honestly surprised to receive, given the previous lack of follow up) showed a complete lack of accountability for repeatedly scheduling and canceling tests that require patients to discontinue important medications, all while using equipment that consistently breaks down. It showed not one iota of understanding of how such repeat cancellations and stopping medications for those tests could cause pain and stress for patients just searching for answers. It also proved they lack the understanding or empathy to properly work with patients experiencing pain, dysautonomia symptoms, or mental health issues - all conditions they claim to treat. This process has solidified my opinion that this practice cares more about money than the people they claim to "help". Why else would they push so many expensive treatments at the end of every appointment - treatments often not covered by insurance - while neglecting the proper maintenance of the testing equipment they use to attract patients?  If it weren't hard to get this test completed in a timely manner elsewhere, I wouldn't have wasted the time to even try to reschedule for the third time, because the repeated last minute cancellations due to oft-broken testing equipment is not acceptable. I am disappointed in their lack of accountability and empathy and would encourage everyone to look elsewhere if you would like to be treated as a human by a practice that cares about patient care, communication, and proper upkeep of medical equipment.

To put it into perspective, it was 7 months post surgery before I could even walk on a treadmill. By the time I got to Dr. Gus, I thought I was done being active even though I was just in my mid 20s. But through treatments with Dr. Gus and Apllied Wellness's feasible Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy treatments, I was able to become more than active again as a healthy, athletic adult. Moving forward as a patient at Applied Wellness, one is able to maintain an upkeep of their health through the blood tests one can get. Typically, if you go to your general doctor for blood work, it could take months before hearing back the results. Also, in my personal experience, the results come back via mail saying to just take more blood tests. When getting your blood work done at Applied Wellness, Dr. Gus will physically review the results with you there showing you what's going on with your blood and then go over a proactive plan of attack for any issues at hand. The icing on the cake is Dr. Gus's vast knowledge on nutrition. My eating habits have taken a complete 360 degree turn for the better so I have been able to change my life around for the long-lasting improvement. For when I was in college playing football, I just thought I could eat whatever I wanted because I was active and still had a youthful metabolism. I just lacked the overall proper nutritional knowledge. Dr. Gus will share with you the knowledge to turn your eating lifestyle for the better.

Dr. Gus was recommended to us by a member of our same church who told us what a wonderful doctor he was and how his nutritional and health based treatments significantly improved his medical condition. My son started meeting with Dr. Gus twice weekly for hyperbaric oxygen treatments to help improve his immune system and monthly with Dr. Gus for chiropractic treatments. Within 1-2 months of his initial appointment, my son's speech significantly improved in both the quantity of language that he used and in the complexity of his language. Jared has also regular blood tests to check his blood flow and levels of oxidation in order to make sure my son's body is properly absorbing the vitamins and minerals he was taking. Two years later my son continues to improve in his use of spontaneous language and overall physical development. I was so impressed with my son's improvement that I also started receiving chiropractic treatments and nutritional based therapy from Dr. Gus, and in turn, my overall energy level has also made significant improvements. Dr. Gus is very easy to talk with and truly listens to the concerns of his patients. When both my son and I had blood tests performed, Dr. Gus fully went over the results with us and actually showed these results on screen. That way I could see both the positive and negative areas so a good treatment protocol can be started. That really made a difference with me. You can tell that Dr. Gus truly cares about his patients and he also lives what he believes. Overall, I would highly recommend Dr. Gus and the Applied Wellness Center.

When I found out that I could remove the fat pads in my cheek with a Buccal Fat Procedure, I immediately called to schedule a consult with Dr. Irvin Wiesman. I was referred to him by my PA-C. She described Wiesman as someone who was professional, honest and a great surgeon. My personal opinion is that he met every and all expectations for my surgery. Dr. Wiesman gave me a ton of information on the procedure. He explained the benefits, what post operation looks like and he reassured me by his confidence that I was in good hands. I made the decision to have my surgery in September of 2021 and I am in love with my results 3 months later. When I look in the mirror I love how slim my face looks.
