Also, we stopped at Tasty Treet at the beginning of the trail for ice cream and thoroughly enjoyed it. Definitely recommend trying different sections of this trail or doing the entire trail! Also, many groups do "taco and margarita" rides starting in Council Bluffs, talk with your local bike shop to find out more. There is a small box at the trail asking for a $2.00 donation for adults to maintain the trail. Awesome tree coverage and nature for a fun day out in Iowa.

He would stop to point out Eagles and their huge nests. He even schooled us on how to identify the ages of eagles and whether they are male or female. Stopping on a sandbar to dip your toes in the river was nice too! His landing has picnic tables that I believe you can rent for get togethers, and and a handy porta potty! It's a bit of a drive from Omaha to Cedar Bluffs but a fun and scenic drive once you hit the country fields! Really only about an hour drive. Can't say enough about this company! You can purchase snacks and drinks there at reasonable prices.
