I'm not a fan of dentist, however, this office is awesome! Never would I ever think I'd enjoy coming to a dental office. They are super welcoming and friendly from the second you walk in. Brittany and Mariealycee are seriously the best. They make the whole experience so much better. Their customer service is amazing, and they always make you feel comfortable and taken care of. All I can say is wow ! Best experience I ever had at a dentist office ! To walking in and being greeted by the receptionist Cristina and Valerie . To the two assistants Brittany and Jose who stayed with me through my whole visit from Xrays, to the treatment that I needed (which they were able to start the same day. Left with two beautiful crowns ! ), to the end when they walked me out. Not to mention Dr.Tolmie was very thorough with my exam, explained everything in a way I was able to understand and what I didn't understand he was patient with answering my questions . Lycee did my cleaning and it was amazing ! She was very personable and I like that she played a movie for me ! If you haven't made an appointment already you should ! Highly recommend! read more

I went to this practice because they take my Humana Gold insurance. I waited for over 30 minutes to be taken to x-ray (Cristina was fantastic) because someone with a later appointment walked in and said she could be seen sooner!!! After comprehensive x-rays, I was taken to a different room to wait for Dr. Chris Tolmie. After waiting for him for 45 minutes, I got up to leave and saw him sitting with the reception staff. He told me that he would be there until 6 p.m. if I wanted to come back. No apologies. I called and made an appointment to come back later in the week. I was brought right back to an exam room and told that the dentist would be right in. After 45 minutes, I got up and walked out. They billed my insurance twice (!!!) for observation. My insurance has rejected the claims. I just called them to email my x-rays to me. They have been delivered and I can send them to my new dentist and never look back. Stay away from Lake Worth Modern Dentistry and Dr. Chris Tolmie. read more

Hello if you care anything about keeping your money do not go to these people not only have they committed fraud and overcharged me and charge me for days I wasn't even there but they admitted that I had over a $700 refund coming over a month ago and I still have not received it nor can I get a return call they will take advantage of you and your insurance I'm an elderly person and I made every single one of my payments on time they charge me for days and things I wasn't even there and I would say as far away from them as possible they are incompetent when it comes to their administrative issues Dr told me is a great dentist and it's very sad that he will not respond to my inquiries or anything else in order to resolve this read more

I hadn't been to the dentist in a really long time because I was super nervous, but my experience here was amazing. From check-in with Christina to seeing Dr. Tolmie and the dental assistant Jose, everyone was so nice. I told the doctor how anxious I was and he made me feel so comfortable that I actually went through with treatment on my first visit, something I never thought I'd do. Then I got my cleaning with Lycee and she was awesome. The whole visit was so easy and stress-free that I'm actually excited to come back in 3 months. Beyond impressed with my experience at Lake Worth Modern Dentists. From the ease of booking, appointment reminders and check in process, everything was hassle free. Most importantly the entire team makes you feel like a priority. From the moment I walked in, Matt greeted me in a genuinely friendly manner - something you do not see much of these days (especially in a healthcare setting). The office manager is not honest. I have been waiting more than a year for my paid in full implant crown. Dentist Christopher Tolmie had his staff call me in not having my crown. I sat in a dental chair for more than 1/2 hour. No one came to see me. I walked out to the waiting room where I sat . DDS Tolmie presented himself finally & made some calls telling me that he could fulfill my request. I returned to Lake Worth Modern Dentistry only to learn that no dental crown had been ordered thanks to the truthful African American clerical person. The other office staff did not appear to know or understand what was going on in my situation. I have been called again to my Arizona phone number. My appointment was canceled. Cancellation was unknown to me since the cancellation was on a voicemail that was in Sun City, AZ I drafted a document on this date keeping a copy for myself that is at my Sun City, AZ residence. Lake Worth Modern Dentistry does have a copy of the letter I drafted a provided Lake Worth Modern Dentistry a copy. I am asking for full refund of $1,900.00 plus any additional fees. I almost forgot: I Betteye Bolden did the homework in finding the size of tooth 14. There is no reason I am continuing to wait on my dental implant crown. I was referred to this office in February of 2024 to have a CT Scan for a complicated dental implant. After having the CT Scan, I took it to my dental specialist who could not read their CT Scan. I contacted Lake Worth Modern Dentistry, but they refused to do anything except send me another copy of the CT Scan. I had four different dental offices try to open the file, but none could. I approached Lake Worth Modern Dentistry several times to be reimbursed for the $175.00 I paid for the CT Scan but they refused. I asked that the office manager, Valerie Robredo, contact me but she has yet to return my call after leaving messages and faxing my complaint. The office assistant simply says they don't reimburse for that despite no one being able to use their faulty CT Scan. I had to have another CT Scan done elsewhere at and more radiation as a result. I filed a complaint with the State of Florida which is pending. read more

This has never happened to me before. So, I have not been to a dentist in over 5 years. I needed some work done so I decided to go. I called my insurance which is humana( I have a medicare ppo) and got a list of providers in network and close to my house. I picked this office because it was the closest to me. I did not look up any reviews for the office. I called and made an appointment for last week Friday. As soon as I gave the customer service my Humana id she said in disdainful manner " oh that is Medicare they don't cover or pay much.". This should have bee a clue which I ignored. To make a long story short I went to the appointment told the Dr. what I wanted done. She took x- rays and did the exam. The first clue that it wasn't going to go my way was that she completely ignored my request. And gave me a bill for over $10,000. Which included co pays. I informed them I had no co pays because the Dr was in network and my insurance paid 100 %. They said they would call humana and call me back. This was Friday. Monday and Tuesday passed and I don't recieve a call. Anyway I called back yesterday to see if they had verified my benefits. They hadn't they said they would call me back in 2/12 hrs they did not call back at all. So, my warning is be careful and do not go to this dental office if you have a Medicare PPO and your insurance pays 100% and you have no copays. It seems to me they want to get as much money as possible and having no copays would make it less money for them. Needless to say I won't be gong to this office. read more

Going to the dentist can be very scary, especially in a new location and a new dentist. Everyone in this location was friendly and knowledgable. The greeting upon arrival, the assistant, the hygienist, and of course the dentist were all great. I have a dental care plan now and feel confident that my teeth and I are in good hands. Be aware !!! After having a procedure done , in my case, a bone replacement graft after removing a tooth. I was told the stitches would be in place holding the bone graft for 7 to 10 days. After one and a half days the stitches and bone graft were gone. I notified them and was told to come back on my next appointment which was 2 days later. I again explained to them that the stitches and bone graft were gone within 48 hours. They simply said it would heal and the hole would close up. This procedure was 850.00 , 350 dollars was out of pocket. When I called to complain and asked for a refund , they said they would not refund the 350.00. I am a retired person who cant afford botched procedures. I would not recommend this business to anyone ever!!!!! DONT BE SCAMMED!!!!! read more

I recently moved to the area from out of state and found this office within my network coverage. I regularly visited my previous dentist and had a great relationship with them. I scheduled a standard first visit with this office which was listed as X-rays and a cleaning. After having the X-rays completed, the dentist informed me that I had beginning stages of periodontal disease (which was never an issue at my previous dentist where I've had X-rays taken many times) and refused to continue with the standard cleaning. They wanted me to pay for an irrigation cleaning with would have cost me over $900 out of pocket (my insurance was covering a large amount also). I was very uncomfortable being in the office after they told me this as I felt pressured to say yes. They asked about setting up a payment plan and even how much I was willing to pay for the cleaning that day. I ended up leaving without having my teeth cleaned. I would never go back here and I wouldn't recommend it. Not sure if this is standard practice in FL or if it was just this office. read more
