Also be prepared to be asked for your insurance at every turn and take photos for them lol. I had to give it to the AI machine, upload it to there site on two different areas. When I came into the office, two different receptionists asked for the insurance. Honestly it was slightly annoying and made them appear unorganized. I have an extremely popular insurance carrier so I can't find a way to understand why they were forgetting. However, I understood they were trying to make sure the paperwork was completed. One of the receptionist that reschedules your appointment did not fit the brand of everyone else who worked there. She was slightly rude and discussing people's personal business in the office. I came in for my appointment at 2pm and the wait time was almost nonexistent. I only waited for about 4 minutes before they took me to the back to do ex rays. My experience with the actual dentist was extremely pleasant and he explained everything going on with my teeth in a way I could easily comprehend. He was also very warm and welcomed any questions I had. The hygienist who did my cleaning was sooo gentle and the best experience I've ever had. However, afterwards the reception staff was a nightmare. I had to be a constant mediator between them and the insurance company. After months of back and forth they received their payment from the insurance for the cleaning but it was such a hassle I've never encountered. Such a shame to walk away from them but I don't have 3 months after I get my cleaning to instruct them on how to deal with insurance companies. I'm still not sure about the real issue of why I had to heavily get involved but nonetheless I've decided to just make the long drive to my old dentist office for my cleaning. I might try them again if I walk by and the front staff is different lol just being honest. The dentists are top tier. I recommend if you don't mind the front desk staff

I called the office 1…read morehour prior to my appointment time and to my disbelief they told me that I couldn't reschedule. Yes they said I couldn't reschedule "EVER". Their reasoning is that I called and canceled last minute when I called an hour in advance, they told me that their policy is you have to call 2 hours in advance to cancel or reschedule, but my appointment was at 10 AM and they opened at 8:30 AM so even if I needed to reschedule 2 hours in advance I wouldn't be able to. So I took it a little further and asked asked if they never had anyone reschedule or cancel last minute before and they just said to me that it is their policy. The guy on the phone told me that I already confirmed the appointment with them the day before. I said to him that a lot can happen within 24hrs and how am I supposed to know something was going to come up, all he had to say to me was that it was the Doctor who said it and not him. So I will never be able to schedule an appointment at this office again because I needed to reschedule my appointment. To me it just seemed like the Dr. Vo was upset that I needed to reschedule "Not even cancel but Reschedule". I'm sorry I'm not an expert but I think that this so called "Policy" doesn't really mesh too well with businesses in the service industry. So use me as an example people if you are making an appointment with this office think long and hard about all the possible emergencies you might have before booking anything because their policy indicates your next to be banned from their office so pretty much it's either your emergency or them. So God forbid if you have something come up before your appointment with this office.

That in my opinion sets the stage for the whole experience. I cam here for a second opinion and they did exactly what needed to be done. At no time did I feel like I was in the dark over my procedure. Dr. Randy Sachs talked to me through out the office visit and I felt very much at ease. I had been going to Mission Lakes Dental for the last year or more for cleanings every three months…read moreand care. I really liked my hygienist and trusted him. I was charged $148 for my cleanings at the time of the treatment, and then billed on top of it. I didn't mind paying the price for a good cleaning if the care was preventative. Now that I'm looking into my insurance and coverage, I should have had 3 free cleanings a year, and my PPO is maxed as they were overcharging my insurance. In May, I ended up having to have an emergency root canal, and it turns out I need another. I'm struggling to pay for all the dental work that I need now after being in their care every 3 months and having their having maxed out my insurance. Also, turns out the hygienist who has now left the practice was not a periodontist which is why, I thought, I was paying the extravagant charges. This has nothing to do with Dr Steyn as she was wonderful when I saw her; however, she was on maternity leave for a lot of the year and now has left the practice.
