Great company- they are fast, honest and do great work. Helped me a couple times now and didn't oversell like other companies we've used!

5 PLUS stars if possible. A while back, the motor in one of my garage door openers went out. Called and made an appointment and wonderful techs arrived the very next day. Fast! Unfortunately, they were not able to repair the unit because parts were not surprisingly no longer available (still the Covid effect). Instead, they replaced the entire unit with a "smart" opener. The thing is literally whisper quiet, and I love the technology. The price was very fare, and they even went above and beyond- with no extra fee- to fix the main large spring that was dangerously about to pop. Eeks! Great customer service! Honest, courteous, convenient, expeditious, and very fair pricing. More recently I was in need of having a new garage remote control added and another reprogrammed. So of course I went to Lake Travis Overhead. :D Same great service. Thank you for making at least one area of my life so much more simple. I truly appreciate you. HIGHLY RECOMMEND read more

Fast service and quality folks. Highly recommend them! Thanks y'all. They will have my future business as well

The guys were super responsive via the Yelp chat, came out the very next day, and fixed the problem I was having in less than half an hour. It's been working perfectly ever since! The price was incredibly reasonable, and we'll absolutely be calling them again if we need help in the future. read more

These are the guys to call. Super responsive, honest, and charged a fraction of what I thought I was going to be paying. I was prepared to replace a pair of springs, but they were able to recover proper functionality with the existing springs. They also noticed the T-rail was insufficiently anchored and re-mounted it, and tweaked the door alignment to close some gaps, for what felt like a really minimal charge. read more

These guys are fast, thorough and honest. I had garage door issues and called another company that quoted me $1500 and said I needed to replace my whole system. Lake Travis Overheqd Doors showed up, diagnosed the issue in 5 minutes and had the garage door working in 10 minutes for a very reasonable price and a fraction of what the other company was going to charge me for a complete replacement. Thank you Doug and team. You will be who I call first with any future garage door issues read more

Service was great. Price for new garage door opener was very competitive. And they were able to come out the same day! Highly recommend.

Doug is our go to for any new garage doors or garage door repairs. Excellent service, quality and fair pricing. He's one of my favorite and easiest vendors to work with. read more

Doug is incredible- our garage door came off the tracks and bent the frame. We weren't able to close the door and were panicked that we would have to wait overnight with an open garage. Doug was at our house within the hour and fixed our garage door in around 20 minutes. The price was very reasonable and Doug is very professional. Called Lake Travis Overhead Doors a few months ago for a garage door tune-up. The price quoted on the phone was very reasonable. When they arrived and checked everything over, Doug said that my door was in such good condition that he didn't have to do much and didn't feel right charging me the normal rate; I ended up paying less than half the normal service charge. He has a customer for life! read more

We're so lucky to have Doug Burd in our area. He's truly a garage door wizard! I had called him to install a remote entry keypad for us but when he got here he immediately spotted a crack forming at the top of our garage door that I had not noticed. The door was bowed in the middle and would have snapped pretty soon. He came back later the same day with the reinforcement parts and made the door open smoother and quieter than it has in years. He really went above and beyond. I'm so glad I hired a garage door expert rather than a handyman. Extremely fair pricing too. Thank you, Doug! read more

Great quick work to fix and update my 17-year old garage door opener. Professional and competent service.

I first contacted a large competitor and they came out to give me a quote and I was ready to move forward. They gave me a lead time of 1-2 weeks. I then contacted Doug at Lake Travis Overhead Doors to check the price and lead time. I described the broken springs and how many needed to be replaced (Qty 4) and he immediately gave me a quote over the phone that was ~40% less than the other guy. Moreover, he said he could install the spring system the next day. I moved forward with Doug's company (family owned and operated btw) and he completed the install as promised and quoted! Very happy with the results and would highly recommend. Thank you Doug! read more

Excellent, efficient, professional and reasonably priced service. Doug came the same day I called and completed the job the same day. I am one happy satisfied customer! read more

I am going to add to the positive feedback for these guys. My wife accidentally hit the garage door on her way out; I thought the bottom panel was just ruined and they were going to have to replace the whole thing (it was bent outwards). She called and they were here within 1 hour and fixed it in less than 30 minutes while also giving me some good feedback about what to do down the road. The door, shockingly, looks almost new. I'm impressed (he also very kindly took out a wasp nest for me too!)! I can't emphasize enough what a professional, quick, and great job they did. Also the price was absolutely reasonable for the work they did. I'd recommend these guys to anyone. read more

My garage door has a "custom" wood covering over the aluminum panels, so when a guest rolled into the bottom panel, bending it and the backing support strut, I was sure I was in for a replacement door, since there is no way to match the wood covered panel. Doug and his guy came over within about 2 hours of calling them, figured parts, worked up an estimate to save the bent panel and returned 3 days later. The repair costs matched the estimate and they saved the panel. They also did a "tune up" on the whole system to make sure everything worked properly before leaving. They bring a level of conscientious to their work that is not common, I recommend them wholeheartedly! read more

Doug and his staff are amazing. I knew from our first call we were going to end up going with him. He was the first and only overhead-door repair service that had all the answers to our problems within the first minute of chatting. Doug KNOWS his stuff. We needed help with our oversized garage door that had a broken spring and could no longer open or close (the springs were ancient), and he offered to be there the very next day. Not only did he repair our garage door in what seemed like record time, his prices were amazing. We can't thank you enough. He even tightened our garage door chain and replaced our outdated plastic rollers to help the door glide more smoothly for FREE. I don't know if I used any of the correct terms, but Doug always knew what I meant. doug was so sweet and helpful. He replied to us at all hours of the day. He offers a 5-year warranty on the service and 1-year on the product. We'll definitely be using him again. read more

Absolutely tremendous service from the time I first contacted at 7pm on a Friday night. Doug responded within 10 minutes, and we set an appt for 11am Saturday morning. He arrived 10 minutes early and looked numerous issues with our 25 year old garage door system. He showed me the parts he needed to replace and provided a reasonable sounding estimate and said he could get the job done right away and only needed an hour or so to pick up some parts he didn't have on his truck. Returned and started and finished all the work in about an hour, showed me everything he repaired/replaced and when adding it up actually gave me a couple of parts at no charge and the final bill was a little LESS than the estimate. On top of that we had a nice conversation about our Jeeps before and after he did the work. You will not find a better guy to deal with and a true professional in his field.. read more

The quick release chord got stuck in my car window as I was backing out, damaging the trolley part. I thought I could fix it myself as it seemed like a "no brained," but alas, it got the best of me, and I resigned to get a professional to help me out. Doug was able to come by within the hour. Luckily, it was a quick fix, and even simpler what was recommended on YouTube and Google. He had everything up and running within 5 minutes. He even went above and beyond, by patiently answering other unrelated questions. He also ended up lubricating the hinges on my garage door, but he did say that sound was a pet peeve of his, so it might have been more for him than me. Either way, he didn't have to do that, and I'm my neighbors are telepathically thanking him. I will definitely be using his services in the future, and would recommend him to my friends and family. read more

Excellent locally owned business! Doug came to my house to fix the garage door opener and also tuned up the door. He is honest and didn't try to claim the logic board I bought online is faulty, instead, he tried his best to make sure it still works. After adjusting the garage door, he and the other technician tuned up the door itself to make sure the loud noise that I have been having is gone. Really appreciate his honesty and most importantly the wonderful work. I will definitely use the shop again. read more

Fixed my garage door within a few hours of when I sent my request and works better now than before!

You never need a garage guy until you need a garage guy. Had used Cedar Park in the past, but they were booked a week out and, well, I needed my car out of the garage. 5 stars across the board for LTOD. From responsiveness to diagnosis to communication to remedy to pricing - Doug at Lake Travis Overhead hit the mark on all levels. Highly recommended. read more

Our garage door remote control opener stopped working, so, based on many recommendations from the internet, we called Lake Travis Overhead Doors and Doug Burd came out the same day. He determined that the Logic Control Board needed replaced and said it would be difficult to find. Fortunately for us, Doug managed to locate the last board in any company's inventory saving us from buying a new unit. It's great to use someone who understands service and we highly recommend Lake Travis Overhead Doors. read more

Busted spring, 1 hour later I'm all fixed!! Great company, well run, great prices! No other place to call if you're in the Lake Travis area.

We couldn't recommend Doug more for any garage door services. He was over at our house within 30 minutes and was quickly able to diagnose the problem, provide solutions & pricing and have it all fixed within a matter of hours. Don't waste your time on anyone else, call Doug! read more

I am so impressed with the response and service I received from Lake Travis Overhead Doors today. Doug Burd, the owner, answered when I called and he offered to come out the same day to replace the motor in my garage door opener. I was amazed. The other company I called couldn't schedule the repair for a week. Doug installed the new motor and was in and out within an hour. He showed me his work, explained the whole process and his price was very reasonable. If only everyone delivered great work and great customer service like this!! Thank you, Doug!! read more

Oh my goodness....garage door broke on a Sunday morning. Couldn't get cars out of the garage. We had a full schedule and we're in a panic. Called Lake Travis Overhead Doors. Told them we were in a jam. Doug was there in 20 minutes (even though he was on the way to another appt) and not only repaired the door, but adjusted the overhead motor and it's running better than when it was newly installed. Didn't gouge....totally fair fee. Highly recommended and much respect for this company. read more

They came quickly and went above and beyond what I had asked them to do! I had wanted them to reconnect my garage door and sensors but they noticed how loud it was going down and they tightened every bolt and added to nails to parts of the door that was coming apart. They even checked to see if I had a battery in my unit (nope) and told me where to go buy one for the same price he would pay. They also helped me figure out how to configure the garage opener in my new car! HIGHLY recommend!!! read more

Best service in the Lakeway/Bee Cave area - bar none!! Went from the house into my garage at 1000am on Sat, Nov 14 to find that my garage door would only open about one foot. Bringing it down again the cause was obvious - one spring had broken. I called Doug immediately to see if he could come out to fix the door this weekend ... he said he could be out in an hour - he arrived in 30 minutes, and had our door fixed with four new springs by 1130am!! read more

One of the best service experiences I've ever had - I know that's a big statement, but it's true.. My old door opener fried on a Monday, and I knew I needed a new one. I went and purchased it, and then called a few folks from the Yelp listings to have it installed. Doug took my call immediately, and answered my questions - then said he had two other jobs to complete, but thought he could get to it that evening. They were there 3 hours later, and they could not have been more professional. Quick, clean, and friendly - and the installation was perfect. They programmed everything for me, and walked me through some things as well prior to leaving. Will be using LT Overhead Doors any time I need garage door work, and will be referring them as well. read more
