That approach is central to their patient care. Whether it's for a yearly check-up or a sick visit--the high standards are the same. I believe Beth typically says, "when can you come in?" It's unusual in any business, let alone medicine, to find someone who looks to accommodate my schedule. Once we are there, both Beth and Dr. Rappaport take the time to listen to our concerns. They are in no hurry; I never feel rushed or flustered that I haven't had all of my questions answered. The care is exceptional. Dr. Rappaport has a common-sense approach and impeccable medical knowledge. She's never alarming, always measured, and extremely compassionate. It's clear she is not just a doctor, but also a mother, who relates easily to her patients and their parents. In addition, she has built a marvelous rapport with my boys. She has cared for them since they were toddlers--they are now very active 8 year old twins. She's as thorough with their physical exam as she is with their mental well being; dealing with topics such as bullying. She gives them (and us) clear-cut, age appropriate advise on how to deal with it. I don't typically write reviews, but I was compelled to do so in this case. This is a different style of medicine than I have ever experienced. My husband and I (first time parents) brought our six week old son to Dr. Franzia after going through two different pediatricians that provided no solutions to our problems. I called Dr. Franzia's office and was immediately set up with an appointment to see her. Within minutes of observing my son, she diagnosed him and had him on a plan to get him on the right track. My son has a milk protein allergy and acid reflux. She knew what his issues were and knew exactly how to treat them. Dr. Franzia was so positive and supportive to my family. She saw my son for the first time on a Friday and I called her crying the very next day and she was so supportive, so confident that we were doing the right thing for my son and she gave me the confidence I needed and reassured me to stick with our plan and my son would be better in no time. Dr. Franzia and her staff worked with my insurance company (we all know how annoying insurance companies are) and dealt with them to help us with prescription formula for my son because of his allergy. She wrote letters to the insurance company, answered phone call after phone call from us and them. She really goes beyond the average doctor. She is genuine and caring about children, she treats our son like she would treat her own children. I honestly can't say enough about what Dr. Franzia has done for my family. Example: my baby was born 34 weeks due to me having severe preclamspia and he caught up in weight and we went to this doctor and they told us few things- 1). It's ok to sleep with baby in bed knowing he was born premature. 2). Roma showed how to wrap baby in blanket making sure blanket wraps around baby's head so pacifier doesn't fall and said he can sleep alone this way. 3). Didn't take the risk of SIDS seriously. 4). Always annoyed when I ask questions. 5). Rushing off the phone. 6). Here's the cherry on top--- My baby was experiencing some more gas than I wanted for him and I primarily pumped breast milk and formula kendalmill cows milk. I was then told to possibly switch to goat milk which can help his gas.... I remember before the transition I was nervous and I wanted to get a protocol on HOW to transition Roma very quickly Told me to just transition him Without any transitional period. My baby was crying and screaming for hours and hours and hours and then they said it's normal .... He has to get use to it. I tried again for 3 days and again more irritated and crying longer. One night my baby couldn't stop crying for 6 hours straight. I called the emergency line (I called twice before about something else they failed to call back) and she didn't pick up I left a detailed voicemail. She then calls me back 3 hours or so later sounding very very annoyed and she said you call so much told me we were not the right fit lol can you believe that? Totally left us with no pediatrician and left us hanging. Such a rude and selfish human being. I think she cares more about her unattractive Botox than she does her patients. Thankfully we found someone ten Times better. And now she wants to charge $2k to just go to her clinic? Hilarious. She is a joke. I don't appreciate how little she truly cared about me and my son. When we arrived--within what I understood to be the standard 15-minute grace period--we were told they would not be seeing us. I asked if they could make an exception, given our long-standing relationship and the fact that we did call ahead, but was told very firmly, "We only see patients who arrive on time." What was most surprising was how unprofessional the interaction felt. The receptionist told us we could sit in the lobby, but there was no guarantee when or if they'd be able to fit us in. She also stated that the decision came directly from the head doctor of the practice which was especially disappointing after over a decade of care. We understand that schedules are tight and policies are necessary, but there was no flexibility, compassion, or consideration shown--not even a reasonable explanation that we called ahead of time. It's unfortunate to be treated this way after so many years, and we're now re-evaluating whether this is the kind of practice we want to continue trusting with our child's healthcare.

They sent it to collection in march and fire us as patients now we have to find a new practice after 16 years of being with this group plus I was a patient there for the first 20 year of my life. Working with a lawyer now it see if anything can be done about their unethical policy. Also let everyone know about it because they did not inform there patients of the their new policy that if you are sent to collection you will be fire as a patient even if you paid the past due bill right away.

My son is having surgery, and about two weeks ago the office agreed to complete paperwork required for me to use a caregiver leave benefit through my employer so I could care for him during his recovery. The office was aware of the upcoming procedure and had plenty of notice. During my son's pre-op visit, I specifically asked Dr. Donovan-Hunt about the paperwork. She seemed concerned that she was not the pediatrician officially listed on his chart, even though she has seen my son on multiple occasions, but she assured me that Dr. Glikesberg, who is listed as his pediatrician, would complete the forms when he returned. Now, the day before my son's surgery, I received a call from the front desk questioning who had determined that I needed time off to care for my son and telling me that I did not need this time. I found it incredibly inappropriate and upsetting to have office staff questioning my need or desire to use a legitimate benefit provided by my employer. Whether I choose to use an available caregiver benefit to be present for my child after surgery should not be dismissed in this manner. I was then told that Dr. Glikesberg would not complete the paperwork because he was not the physician who performed the pre-op visit -- despite what I had previously been told. If the office was unwilling or unable to complete these forms, that should have been communicated to me when they received them two weeks ago, not the day before surgery when our family is already nervous and stressed. What disappointed me most was the lack of compassion and empathy in how the situation was handled. There was no acknowledgment of how difficult it is for a parent preparing for their child's surgery or of the unnecessary stress caused by waiting until the last minute to tell us this. Thankfully, my son's surgeon has agreed to complete the paperwork, so the issue will ultimately be resolved. However, this experience has completely changed how I feel about this pediatric practice. As a healthcare provider myself who also takes care of patients and families, I understand that offices have policies and physicians have limits on what they are comfortable certifying. What I cannot understand is the lack of communication, empathy, and professionalism in how this was handled. I am very disappointed and would encourage parents to consider a pediatric practice where they feel their concerns and their child's needs will be treated with compassion, especially during something as stressful as surgery. Update: I received a call today from the practice manager, Valerie. She personally reached out to ask about my experience and apologized for how the situation had been handled. I was genuinely impressed by how seriously she took my concerns. She was grateful for the feedback, and it was apparent that her call was not simply to apologize, but to truly understand where the process had gone wrong and how their procedures and communication could be improved going forward. I greatly appreciate both Dr. Gliksburg and Valerie reaching out personally. Their responses made a significant difference in how I feel about the situation and showed me that the practice does take patient and family concerns seriously. I know that mistakes and communication breakdowns can happen. What matters greatly is how an organization responds when concerns are brought to its attention.
