What a nice place for a day of pampering. Honestly there are not a lot of local spa/salons in Deep Creek unless you go to outside the area. This was a cute spa located in the heart of deep creek. Very clean and a friendly staff. It's also located next to a winery tasting room which allows you to purchase a bottle and take it into the spa. Perfect place for a day of relaxation! I've gone twice in the past year while on vacation. This year they called me and the others in my party four times to reschedule, causing lots of confusion. My pedi was good but my sister's mani was smudged and she felt rushed. Someone asked me if I wanted coffee or tea and I asked for tea and she never brought it. Overall, it's just okay. I called to see if they could take a walk-in in 20 minutes and I was told yes. I arrived 20 minutes later and was told I couldn't be seen because they had a party starting. They told me I could book an appointment for 3 days later and gave me a sample of beard oil as consolation. I'm not a man nor do I have a beard. I can't really speak to their skills. While on vacation this year I wanted to get my hair cut and have some relaxing kid-free time... I am SOOOO glad I found this Salon on yelp. After reading the reviews I was alittle hesitant; however, I called for a appointment anyway and they were able to get me in within 30 minutes. The salon is slightly hard to find for a vacationer since it is not off the main road, but it is in the same building as the Black Bear grill so look BEHIND and UNDER the black bear. Walking in the décor was nice and updated a mix between black and purple which is a personal favorite color scheme of mine. I didn't have to wait long for my stylist and was taken right back for a wash. I also got my eye brows waxed which turned out EXCELLENT (always nervous about a new place). My stylist was Crystal and my hair turned out amazing. I didn't have time on this visit I'm planning on going again later this week for a mani. Anyhow...the price was great just 28 for the whole shebang and my hair is just as I wanted...did I mention they offered me refreshments, I declined but it was a nice touch. My only suggestions is to be sure to make a appointment... they have limited stylists available and they are busy, and check the website to ensure that they have the services you want. read more

I went to this salon for an updo prior to my wedding last August. All in all, I was satisfied with the result, given the location and the price I was paying. I went for a practice run a few weeks before the wedding and had a good impression of the young women running the salon. The stylist (can't remember her name) did a nice job with my hair. The style ended up being pretty generic, which was fine. I give this salon 3 stars for two reasons: 1) when I asked for a messy updo and showed the stylist some examples, she didn't really understand or know how to achieve the look I wanted, and 2) the stylist didn't really remember some of the specifications that I gave her and changes to the basic style that I had asked for (detailed notes may have helped?). To the brides checking out this review, I think this salon would be a good place for someone that is looking for a basic updo or other wedding hairstyle that doesn't require a lot of creative thinking. And to other folks just needing a haircut, you should consider giving this place a shot. I feel like this salon and the young women running it have some potential. read more

We were in the area for a bachelorette party and we needed to get our nails done for the wedding. We had 7 girls, and they accommodated all of us nicely! We even had a wine tasting and cheese boards from the adorable book and wine shops next door. Do not get your nails done here!!! Worst manicure I have ever gotten in my life. The girl clearly had no idea what she was doing. She didn't even shape my nails, I think she just buffed them and then started painting. The paint also sucks, I got gel nails and they were pealing off in 2 days!!! I came here as a consultation to have my hair done for my wedding. The girl couldn't get the style even close to similar as the picture which was a simple up do. She was also really rude about it which is the exact opposite of what you want on your wedding day. I ended up getting a hair cut because she said she couldn't do my hair as it was now. It will take me YEARS to grow my hair back after the horrible, horrible haircut given to me. It was extremely choppy with one think short layer and one long thin layer. It is an absurdly horrible haircut. The only think nice I can say is that the owner and the girl who cut my hair are very nice. She refunded my deposit as well. read more

I wouldn't go here. There are other spa and salons that will appreciate your business. After soaking our feet for our pedicures for 30 minutes, they come down and tell us they "just have to cut someone's hair real quick." After we wait even longer, we ask if we can just have a polish change as we no longer had time for the full pedicures. My paint job was good enough, but my sisters will literally slopped on. All of her old color was not even taken off. The edges were not taken care of, polish on her skin and then some of her nail was still left unpolished! She didn't even begin with a base coat and we had to request it! It was a horrible service, leaving us with nothing but a bad mood. Wished we would have chosen another salon! read more

The nicest thing I could say about our experience was the staff was polite. I brought my daughter in for her first ever manicure. She wanted French tips with gel. I sent pictures to my sister who does nails professionally of the finished nails and she responded "oh did the kids do each other's nails". I called and complained that some of the nails bubbled and a few had chips and was informed that the product they used was ruined by another tech who put thinner in it. Instead of offering a refund they offered to fix it but when we went the next day they were only going to fix 2 nails. Even though the faulty product was used on all her nails. My daughter was so upset she wanted it all removed. They only gave me a partial refund, not even half!! A waste of money and a waste of vacation time!! read more

We were vacationing this weekend and I had a huge chip on my nails and I leave for work immediately when I get back first thing Monday. I stopped by and she help remove and straighten my nails out. Can't say enough good things about Crystal!! She did my nails and hair for my wedding. She went way above and beyond, travelled to a store an hour away, and spent hours sewing clips into my hair extensions. She was super nice and my updo stayed intact for 12 hours including rowdy dancing. read more
