I found this B&B from a google search and called to inquire about vacancy. When Carol informed me…read morethat they are indeed on a dairy farm and I could even milk a cow while I was there if I liked, I immediately booked! I cannot endorse the place heartily enough. It had a truly spectacular view, the breakfasts were delicious, the bed was comfy, the house was cozy and clean, it was a quick drive away from Jay Peak, the price was competitive/low, and the experience was a quaint and vermont-ish as you could hope for. But above all else, the hosts (Carol and Dennis) were fantastic and I got to stay in a B&B on a dairy farm! That meant I got to milk a cow and sample some unadulterated-but-chilled milk for the first time ever. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and I will definitely stay there again if/when I make it back up that far north. I can't imagine a nicer couple of hosts or a more memorable, peaceful experience.

I cannot say enough great things about this wonderful B&B! I had to quickly find a place to stay in…read moreor near Irasburg and I found this gem via Google search. The pictures on the website are nice but being there in person is even better. The owners (Dennis & Carol) are so laid back and friendly. After 10 minutes, I felt like I had known them all my life, like family. Carol cooks up a pure down home fresh, delicious, country breakfast that can't be beat! As the website says, this is a working dairy farm with plenty of cows and they also produce their own awesomely good maple syrup! When I was there, a calf was born! oh so cute. The rooms and bathrooms are exceptionally clean and bright. If you're coming from a crowded, crazy and stressful city as I was, this place is just what the doctor ordered! Relax, take in the view, take a walk around 200+ gorgeous acres, milk a cow, go skiing or just sit in the common room and read a book. This place is good for the soul! I can't wait to go back!! The price per night is 100% perfect, too. Check out the new website for more pics and video. http://www.mountainviewdairybedandbreakfast.com/ I highly recommend this B&B!

We are one of those couples who like to experience different B&Bs and have been to many over the…read moreyears. This one is by far the best and most luxurious. Immediately upon entering you get the feel of an old French farm estate meticulously restored to its original character. There are plenty of rooms in which to sit and read, unlike most other B&Bs. Plus, the onsite sauna and heated swimming pool lend a resort feel in a quaint, unique way. Plus, the room accommodations include all the little details and amenities that so many other places overlook (e.g. laundry bag, iron, hair dryer, makeup remover). Finally, their breakfast was truly award-winning. We will definitely use this location as our home base when visiting relatives near the border in Vermont in the future!

Exquisite 200 year old home with loving touches. We were helped with luggage to our room and found out we had the inn to ourselves on our midweek stay. Warmed up our room with our gas fireplace. Didn't use the outdoor hot tub and indoor sauna....wish we had more time! Unique bathroom was split between what was probably two closets. Relaxed in a beautiful alcove outside our room overlooking the lit snow adorned garden then took our wine down to the common area with goodies that were provided in our room. There is a fireplace in the common area and relaxing there Laura added to our bites with some olives...and a visit from her adorable dog. Breakfast was served in a French door adorned room with a lit fireplace. A yogurt compote was followed with an artfully arranged smorgasbord of breakfast choices that lacked nothing including croissants and chocolate chip cookies! Laura sent us on our way with boxed leftovers as beautiful as the original presentation. So hope we get to return to this storybook inn next time we cross the boarder. Maybe in summer to use the pool! Beautiful start to our vacation.
