Nice lake view - not walkable from trailer.
Deborah L.

The site was nice and clean. The trailer itself was very well appointed. The staff were friendly. Three issues; 1. The propane was not turned on when we got there and so we couldn't light the stove. No instructions were given about turning it on (and there were plenty of other instructions) - the AC was on when we arrived (yay) so we assumed that all that was needed was on. When we called to get some help - it was the after 4:00 maintenance emergency line - no answer. We left a message and no one ever called us back. So good that it wasn't life or death. Having an emergency line to call was great. Having no answer and no call back was not. 2. There was a critter in the trailer - never saw him/her (thank goodness) but food was gnawed on. 3. The pool was closed and frankly looked like I would not want to be in it anyway but it should have been known that the pool would be closed.

We had 40 of our closest friends and family here for a birthday party and nothing could beat these beautiful lodges gorgeous views and amazing staff. Highly recommend the lodges for a fun or relaxing getaway!

We had an amazing time on the lake, which was lovely. However, we did learn a lot about the site and unless you have T-Mobile and or AT&T, there is no cell service unless you're in the visitor center with things like Verizon. And even then it's only two bars. There is no Wi-Fi anywhere and the showers though clean did not get very warm. The staff were amazing. The store was lovely. The boat rental Marino had some amazing People working there. I loved everything about the location and I had to switch due to hookups to normal, which was my favorite new campsite area. I highly recommend.

Just wanted to give a shout out to the reservation desk. Our family has been camping at Naci for well over 50 years. Even though my parents moved to Paso in '89, we still make it a priority to spend at least one week at the lake every summer. Just a couple of weeks ago my husband started a new job and can't make it. As a result, I won't be needing our larger trailer. Bringing the baby trailer instead and wanted to give my site to another family member with a larger rig. The staff was so accommodating and allowed us to move our sites so that we will still be together for the week. Thanks Naci Staff - as usual - you do not disappoint!

We had a great stay at this newly renovated lodge near Lake Nacimiento. It was very clean, private, and had a cozy deck to relax on. The king-size bed was spacious and comfortable--perfect after long days at the lake. There's one parking spot directly in front, and the lodge is on a steep hill, so we were glad we brought our electric bikes to get around easily. Overall, a peaceful and comfortable retreat to return to each evening! Be prepared for the ultimate escape as there was minimal cell phone reception (Verizon), we enjoyed it!

I've been coming to this lake since I was 10years old almost every year and im now 43 years old and I gotta say even though they have remodeled the condos their management of them is not up to par, we had mice in our condo with mouse droppings all over the condo floor the kitchen table, the chairs and the top of the couch (see attached pictures) this is unacceptable and how ypu contract haunta virus. The phones don't work up there so there is no one you can talk to after 5pm when management leave because you don't get service. Also this is the second incident I've had there this year, the first one was when two guys stole my parking spot for two days that was my assigned parking I paid a premium for and I was told that somone would look into it but they just gave me $100 to shut me up, no follow up nothing on the incident.

It was rather difficult to reach any customer service. It always went to voicemail. When we arrived late at night, the whole streets were too dark so we got lost. We called the emergency after hour, it went to voicemail. The person never returned the call The marina is closed so we couldn't rent anything. The system was down so we had to drive 16 mi to the nearest Walmart/Big 5 for w fishing license and purchase of fish poles. So no kayaking no boating without having your own stuff The lake was dirty gray unlike Lake Cachuma. The cabin was nice though, kinda expensive in my opinion. They didn't give us free charcoals for grilling.

Its been so long since ive been to the lake, we decided to just drive out & check it out, it was desserted, nobody was enjoying the lake, the lake looked full to us, nobody was working the gate at the north shore, we drove around & checked things out, lots of fish were jumping up out of the water, we drove to the south shore & they were working at the gate, we were told to be careful cause lots of rattlesnakes have been seen, luckily we didnt see any, it was warm there today

I had no idea that you could choose between 3 different campsites until I decided I HAD to be under the moonlight at the beach on 2.22.22 at 2:22 pm. And the views are BREATH TAKING from the beach campsite. They were also freezing, windy, and WET in February! And all of the trails were closed when we visited due to the fire, but it was like a little slice of Heaven to disconnect and spend 2 nights off the grid with great folks. The rangers who serve this place are BEYOND friendly, and they do an awesome job of keeping the bathrooms clean. I believe they were cleaned 3 times a day. And the campsites were so self contained, you really had no idea there were up to 29 sites there. Camping on the beach meant you heard the crash of waves all night long. It was so very peaceful! And while the view looked almost warm, there was NOTHING warm about being there in February. But if you had a camper, and the right gear, the rain and wind would be worth it just to burn that image eternally into your mind! I hope I can snag this location during the warmer months. I'm just in love with everything about LimeKiln.

The sites are very close to each other. Our first night before our immediate neighbors arrived was amazing - incredible views of the beach/ocean from the campsite and very peaceful. Restrooms including shower were nearby and cleaned every morning. Next night, we were surrounded by big groups on both sides and it felt like a parking lot tent city and it did not seem like car parking restrictions were enforced. The sites are so close we could hear intense snoring on both sides. Neighboring kids would come and smack/kick at our dogs - they were young but still not cool and I was annoyed their parents stood by and watched. We will try Kirk Creek instead next time to get more space. Pros - we loved the incredible access to the beach. Amenities seemed to work well (until inconsiderate folks started to ignore basic human decency like flushing!). Cons - no access to internet (despite it being available but it is locked), some beach sites are very close together, trails closed.

As far as the campsite it self, i was a little scared that it would be too sloped, but it wasnt bad at all. We used a tent and set it up on the left side and kept the table/bench in the middle. We still had awesome views of the water. Everything was so green it looked like it was a filtered photograph. You could see the vault bathroom from our site but we couldn't smell it. The smell was very prominent though around the area where the host was staying. Bring a bucket, diapers (to soak up the pee), and thick plastic bags if you dont want to use their vault bathrooms. We didnt encounter any raccoons personally, but did see their prints all over our cooler (locked) and table in the mornings. We saw a groundhog and it spent an hour digging up a hole. Firewood was $15 a bundle. we have verizon for our cell service and had no signal at all. It actually went out about 20 miles before arriving to the campground. We were able to use the satellite option on our phones to send out a couple of text messages. Wish we lived closer cause the drive from Orange County was long. Enjoy the photos

Waking up right on the cliffs above the ocean is incredible and truly makes the trip worth it. There's no cell service, though newer iPhones with satellite messaging can still send and receive texts if needed. Just be prepared: the campground is very rustic. There's no water, no power, and only basic latrines. At $45 per night, it feels a bit steep considering the lack of amenities, but that's the Recreation.gov rate- and the scenery does soften the sting. If you're driving in, know that Nacimiento-Fergusson Road is not recommended for large vehicles, trailers, or anything that struggles with braking downhill. For larger rigs, Highway 1 is definitely the safer and better option. The surrounding area is amazing, with tons of hikes, beaches, and spots to explore. You can even find local jade along the beaches and in riverbeds, which is a fun bonus. The campground hosts are enthusiastic, friendly, and genuinely helpful- one of the highlights of staying here. The only major downside is the raccoon situation. They go absolutely wild at night- climbing on tables, chairs, coolers, even cars and trailers. They will try to open anything they can, so make sure everything is secured or locked up. It would be great to see the park system address this, because they're definitely a persistent (and bold) nuisance. Overall, Kirk Creek is stunning, quiet, and unforgettable- as long as you're ready for a rustic experience and some energetic nighttime visitors.

These people lived here long before European explorers arrived. The park was purchased in 1965 by the State of California and made a state park. Prior to it becoming a state park, the land was used for agricultural use as well as farming and dairy use. It consists of 8000 acres of cliffs, seven miles of shoreline, coastal plains, canyons and hills. There is such a peaceful and calm vibe that you feel as you enter the park. As you enter through this colossal Eucalyptus forrest, you are mesmerized with their size. Clouds flow through the forrest and open up to the mighty Pacific Ocean. I always feel like I am entering a different world when I come here. There are so many fun trails to hike at ocean level, mountain level etc. Abundant wildlife is everywhere. You can also just take leisurely walks and enjoy the beauty of the ocean. Plenty of places to picnic, and a small beach to hang out with family and friends. There is also a small campground but what a great place to camp! Dogs are allowed but need to be on a leash. My first time out here was back in 2021. I mainly walked the Bluff Trail and took in the wind shaped jagged cliffs, caves, and rocky shore. I then completed a long beach walk on the strand that led from the park to the shores of Morro Rock. I saw so many dead jellyfish which was odd. I also saw huge turkey vultures. The next summer I took a recommendation from a worker at a local coffee shop. He told me all about Coon Creek trail. I started on this trail but it was pretty flat and I wanted something a little more challenging. I saw a sign for Oats Peak Summit and I went for it. A steep climb but so worth it at the top. Views were incredible on this ultra sunny day. Last summer I took my hubby with me and we decided to hike Valencia Peak. Hiking from sea level up to 1,347 feet proved to be a challenge but such a fabulous reward at the top. I could have spent the day up there just taking in the 360 degree views of the ocean, Morro Bay, Los Osos, and the SLO valley in the background. We absolutely loved this hike! If you find yourself lucky enough to be visiting the central coast, be sure to check out this phenomenal state park. It's truly one of California's finest offerings. Most of all remember to pack in and pack out - LEAVE NO TRACE.
