The course has a great layout. The pro shop is the most stocked pro shop you will ever see. We camped there overnight and that was nice.

This is not one of the greatest golf courses I have played, but it is great for what it is. To…read morestart with, $14 + $3 service charge on Golf Now for a 12:30ish tee time on a Thursday afternoon. A course doesn't have to be that good for that price, but this one is solid. The fairways were lush - almost always had a good lie. The greens were firm on the approaches (hard to spin and stop the ball) and they (by their own admission) cut them a bit long. But the putting surfaces were smooth and consistent. So, once you got the speed right, if you put the ball on the right line you could make some putts. There is water around alot of holes, but it is easy enough to avoid unless you hit some real dogs. The course also has a nice driving range and chipping/putting area. The closest city to the course is Manning, SC, but the course is a ways outside of town. There was a course called the "Players Course at Wyboo" which has gone under. I don't know what the status is of Wyboo GC, but after letting one guy go through we didn't see anyone else in front of or behind us all afternoon. And when we finished around 4:30p I was surprised that there wasn't an "after work 9" out at the course. Hope the course makes it. It's a good one.

A attitude was give from Ron automatically and was upset. As I told him he needs to chill out calmly. A Friend that was playing with was doing the same with the extra due to have 2 little one with his wife. Attitude was given by Ron again due to the extra cart. When leave was addressed to play 4 ahead and 2 behind to keep pace of play after starting we swapped and I would hit the the wife would hit the next shot and same for the other couple to keep pace. Kept seeing Ron roaming the coarse stalking us watching. After 3rd time of seeing him he came and said I have rain checks for you and you need to leave after this hole and blamed it on pace of play as we pointed to the players on the tee box waiting for the people in front of them I laughed and said we're keeping up look then he turned it around and said was now the kids are running around but our kids never left the carts beside 1 time on cart path to get a sandwich From the cart 3 yards away. After explaining to him that this isn't right and your not being truthful he didn't like that and told me to leave as my buddy talks to him and is de-escalating the situation that him having a attitude with all of us since arrival. I said boo-hoo about leaving after a minute or two of him talking to my friend finally as his wife was leaving with their kids he decided to leave and not come around anymore. I understand if we did not keep up with pace of play, had obnoxious kids, Kids running around on the green or even on the course. This would be justifiable to tell someone leave. But none of this was going on. Such a beautiful course that was ruined by associates that are entitled to a little authority.

That was the start of a great experience. I worked with Robert, who asked what my objectives were. He made it clear his intention was to help me achieve my goal with my purchase. I was open to exploring a range of sets, and thought fit and feel were my most important criteria. As a novice, I wanted to find a set that offered enough quality to support my learning and enjoyment. At the same time, I felt I needed to gain more experience to benefit from the highest end products. I was willing to invest in the "right" set. Robert set me up at the simulator and captured data on how effectively I hit various clubs. He offered advice to help me improve my swing. I hit several balls with each club. The data supported my own sense of the experience--one type of club was a clear front runner. The "right" set for me, it turns out, was not at the top of the price range. The store has plenty of other items for golfers needs, with an array of shoes, balls, attire, and more. I also met a couple other ladies, shopping for shoes and other items, really friendly folk. It's worth your time to visit.

Service was okay. We weren't offered any plates or napkins, so I had to walk to the bar from the outdoor area to ask for napkins. The waitress didn't ask if we needed more drinks either. We would've ordered more is she came by more. Otherwise, it was a comfy meeting spot to catch up with friends.

This evening, our server did not check on us often enough. She took our initial drink order, all of the bar drinks were brought by a drink runner, and the sodas never came. After 30+ minutes, one soda arrived but we were still missing the other. Once we ordered food, our server never brought of silverware or napkins. The food had arrived via a food runner, and she never stopped by to check how everything was. There were problems with how the food arrived and how there was no silverware. We ended up having to find the closest manager to come and help us out since we were not sure where our server was. Come time to checkout, the server had not been keeping up with who ordered what or separating out our tickets. She spent the last few minutes of our play time having to ask us each what we got so that we could separate out the receipts. They run the Toast system here, so this is something she could have easily done earlier in the evening. Ive been a server in the past and I understand how it can be when busy, but this evening it was not extremely crowded. There was a good group of people, but I think an experienced server should have been able to handle this easily. The food was yummy and the golf was great. Just a bummer to have this many hiccups with our server.

Me. Ben, James & Molly played here on the Wednesday after Easter…read more We were on a Spring break holiday. Ben had this course recommended by a co-worker who lives in Charleston. An overall good experience. Very small bag drop location. It's better to just pick-up your cart and retrieve your bag from your vehicle as they have a large parking lot. Check in was smooth and easy. Very pleased they offer a Veteran discount of $45.00 for 18 holes with a cart, otherwise its $105.00. They have a driving range but you're required to hit off mats. Very small practice putting area where balls are included. The carts have built in GPS, the tee boxes are well marked and maintained & they offer multiple tee options. All the fairways are fairly wide open, there is a fair amount of water with small creeks and steams coming into play. There are also small ponds on the front and back as you're playing along the Stono River with some nice views. All the greens were in great shape and fairly straight forward. This is a busy and popular place, even during the week, we were delayed about 30 minute off the first tee. Pace of play wasn't great either, so we played about a 5 hour round of 18. Sadly, there was no Marshal to maintain pace of play. The Staff at the clubhouse was great as was the Staff at the grill. I really like that they have the self-service hot dog station with all fresh condiments for an excellent all-beef hot dog. Several great holes on the back 9, especially #18, a par 4, which plays about 250 yards from Senior tees & requires a strategic drive to reach an island green. I would highly recommend this course but don't be on the clock.
