Beautiful and clean lake. I've been to this lake multiple times, day and night, and it's always nice. Tons of stars in the night sky when the moon isn't so bright. Clean air, and just a peaceful vibe.

We went there for having a picnic and riding a bike. This place is awesome for that kind of activity! Clean restrooms, enough space and shadow. Perfect place for spending time with family!

Breath taking experience.. I can't wait to visit at sunrise.. it was worth all those slow, careful winding roads..

Pretty nice lake for both hiking around and fishing. My recommendation is to take the trail along the lake towards the dam where you'll find it less windy. Here you will also notice the water is deeper and better for fishing. Parking around the lake requires an adventure pass on your vehicle Clean bathrooms and areas for a bbq and picnic

It truly is a beautiful lake. We had a campground overseeing the lake. Great place to make memories with friends and family. The area was kept clean. There are restroom and showers that are free. Camp host named Bill was a nice guy.

Maybe its because i don't go outdoors enough, but I didn't expect Lake Hemet to be this beautiful! Our host Bill was hands down the best camp host I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. I felt genuinely cared for the entire stay. We struggled to light our campfire and in he swooped in to save the day. We had trouble locating places on the site, he made himself available to direct us to the right location. Tips before camping: - it gets very cold in the evening (do what u will with that info) - toilets and showers available in some locations, others seem to have a old school hole in the ground.

I love this place I just want the bathrooms cleaned more often . They should clean them every day . I love nature and live to visit and fish I've never caught anything yet but I will some day

Lake Hemet is a nice place to camp and isn't too far from Inland Empire. It takes us about an hour from Pechanga (Temecula)to here. The facility itself is really nice and clean. Cabins are super cute and just the right amount of space for a quick get away. The cabins do have a mini fridge, microwave, and tv with a DVD player, or the bunk beds are spacious (queen size) and a pull out couch. The cabins also come equipped with a heater. Keeps the whole cabin nice and toasty. I did not spot an AC unit; so keep in mind for summer time. The main area for bathrooms and showers are clean. But the stalls are super tight in space. Over all; facility is really nice and clean with gorgeous view. Camp host BILL was also such a pleasant man that came to check on us each evening and morning. The kids loved him as he surprised them with goodies. He was super thoughtful and seemed to take care of the facility like it were his own. Made our stay extra special.

    Morning coffee at Lake Hemet.

We went from the 10th of May to the 12th we just went out there to just relax and get away…read more So we got there and got everything unpacked. And found out that the bottom of the refrigerator did not get very cold so I was actually worried about all of our food going bad so we called the front and let them know that the refrigerator was not working. The freezer worked fine so they sent somebody down to check it out. And he brought us a small refrigerator that he put on a table outside. So we could put some of our food in it so we did that, but notice that the refrigerator did not work very well. Either. But anyways, we just kind of dealt with it.. Then the maintenance guy came back and told us that they are giving us a free 2 hours on a pontoon boat for the inconvenience. I truly highly recommend this place, they truly make sure that you are comfortable. And they do try their best.I give these guys five stars.. A few things in their trailer should actually be updated. But we made things work. We will all definitely be going back there.Hopefully, they can get that trailer updated on the mattresses. The refrigerator. And just overall, the cleanliness of the trailer actually was not up to my standards, maybe they could do better, but other than that, it was awesome, very relaxing, enjoyed the nature and most definitely enjoyed the pontoon. Thank you again so much , and we definitely will be returning

I love this place…read moresimply because of the staff. its camping, so things sometimes dont go as planned but the staff are always extremely helpful! Ed is the person who stands out for me. That guy goes out of his way to do what ever he can to make my visit enjoy for me and my grand-dude. The residents of the lake are also very helpful, welcoming to guest. There was a 8 yr old kid name Tauren who with his father's ok, walked up and down the shore to assist visitors in catching fish by offering his extensive knowledge of the lake and fish habits. Im already scheduling another trip. The water was low for the 2nd year in a row but I cant blame the lake for that! My one complaint is really trivial but the pillows and beds in the cottage were too hard and very difficult to sleep on. Also, the cottage I was in had two uncovered windows in the kitchen and the neighbors can look directly into the cottage at any hour.

It's literally two minutes from a gas station and less than 10 from a super cute village center with restaurants, cafes, hardware store, and a grocery store. I will say communication is different here than other thousand trails sites. Other sites we've been to send us updates via text but here is more word of mouth or calling in. The BEST thing about this site is the people who work here. They are so kind, informative, and friendly. We've been up here in the snow all week and the work and care the whole staff has taken to ensure everyone's safety has been clearly evident. We've been here late summer and felt the same way, very comfortable and peaceful. And on a note of the other reviews don't blame the park for disruptive people. There's those kinds of people EVERYWHERE, and for those of us who have worked in customer service we know sometimes there's only so much you can do. Second if you have a complaint about thousand trails as a COMPANY don't leave that review on a PARKS Yelp, they don't control the website or TT customer service lines. And lastly yes most spots are only electric and water, but that's why you have a map, and please why do you expect to park your RV on a MOUNTAIN and complain about level sites, that makes no sense. Come equipped with leveling blocks.

Some of the spots are great and have nice shade trees, etc. Others are kind of sparse and definitely no protection from the sun. There are some very large spots and most of the spots are spacious. Some are for larger RVs. Some are walk in only, you park your car close but not in your spot. There is a trail (3.5 miles round trip) out to a little pond of water and it is a nice easy trail, mostly flat. There were no fires allowed right now, high fire danger, unless you had a stove that had an on/off button to control the flame. I did see some flames at night, that did look like fires that were not allowed but the staff was going around on their golf carts, so I assume they checked it out. The Staff keeps the place pretty clean. The restrooms were in good condition. Definitely some great views of the mountains and surrounding areas. The night time views are pretty good, you can see the milky way. Check out my photos for example. Location fantastic. Price is reasonable. Weather was good.
