I love this bar with my entire soul. I'm here every week just for the vibes and music. Not only is…read morethe staff great, but the regulars are also so fun to be around. I don't usually drink because I drive my group here, and I have never felt like I was being annoying or obnoxious for asking the bartenders for water several times a night. The few times I have had drinks here, they were solid. Nothing super interesting or craft, but I don't want that at this bar-- beer and frozen margaritas are definitely the move, and they do those well. I love love love love this establishment. I would give Rendezvous 6 stars if I could.

I visited Rendezvous in Sherman on Thursday and, unfortunately, had a very uncomfortable…read moreexperience. I was the only Hispanic person at the bar, and the bartender, Kayla, treated me noticeably differently than the white guests around us. She was cold, dismissive, and barely acknowledged me, while offering warm, friendly service to others. A friend of mine, who is also Hispanic, received the same dismissive treatment. In contrast, our white friends were served with smiles, conversation, and full attention. The difference in service felt too obvious to ignore--and it felt racially motivated. What's even more concerning is that after sharing my experience with a few of Kayla's coworkers, they admitted this isn't the first time she's provided less-than-stellar service. That kind of behavior, especially when it appears to follow a pattern, shouldn't be tolerated in any professional environment. I truly hope the management at Rendezvous takes this seriously. Every guest deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of their race or background.

This spot is really small. I would hesitate to call it a dive bar but that is close to what it is. I stopped by here on a Friday at 2:00 p.m. It was packed! I was welcomed (and greeted!) as soon as I entered from the bartender. I was able to find the only barstool open at the bar. The bartender (I wish I knew her name) was all over me despite it being busy and she served me promptly. I then placed an order to go. The atmosphere is deep Texas. I got the impresssion that most of the regulars are locals. I am not local (I do live one town over) but I was right at home! I didn't take a photo of the menu but it is typical bar food...burgers, hot dogs, etc... I ordered my food to go which was Fish and Chips and Jalapeno Bottle Caps. I enjoyed the food but was especially impressed with the level of service and the friendly customers.

A group of 4 adults and five kids ranging from 4 to 13, we all enjoyed this place more than we thought we would. When you look at at the website that does not do it justice, you go hmm interesting. You will leave thinking woah I coul spend more time here. You get your entry tickets in the main building and they give you a key and a map. You go out to a big fenced area and the building are set in a giant rectangular pattern and you can walk to them one by one. 5 cabins have lock that the key operates and you can go inside. The others have a glass door and a light switch outside which you can turn on and peer inside. They all have a little info plaque outside as well so you can learn about the history. This probably doesn't sound as interesting as it actually is to be there. The cabins you can go into really take your tour to another level. The whole setting is fantastic. Definitely make time to go here if you are in the area. It's about 45 minutes to go through the whole thing and entry is cheap..you can spend more time if you want as well. There is no limit.
