It has been one of my favorite dental places. The hours and options available make it a top choice for those with busy schedules. I appreciate the approachable nature of Blue Sky team with options to call, email, and send texts. They are also careful with Covid-19 protocols which is a plus. The team is a well-oiled machine and knows how to make a traditionally long, not so fun dental cleanup to something that is more bearable. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable and takes time to go over your medical history and examination. This is particularly helpful for people like me who wants to get refreshers on best practices and also understand my current dental health and history. Mind you, I was going back and forth to Iowa City for a month but mostly staying at the hospital with my mom, and was in terrible pain. My husband, Troy, knew Greg and Jenny and called them, explained the situation and they got me in about 30 minutes later. Been going there ever since. I have some health issues, unrelated, and they are always very kind and considerate. Ask how I'm doing. Greg, or Dr. MaHarry, is always very thorough in explaining what work that needs to be done. He's very straightforward yet polite at the same time. Which I prefer honesty and getting to the point. Just tell me what we need to do. If I had to come up with one complaint it would be the waiting to get in to be seen. Unless it's an emergency, then they will do all they can to help you. But I guess look at it on the bright side. Would there be that much of a wait if he sucked at his job? So I'll wait knowing the standard of quality I will receive while there. They won my heart and loyality when they showed me such compassion, without even knowing me, during such a difficult time in my life. I'm so glad Troy called them that day. Plus, Jenny just cracks me up. A fun and all around great place to go!

Went to Calcagno Dentistry to get Veneers put on so my upper teeth would be whiter (you pick the…read morecolor) and longer. She did an evaluation and then told me what would be involved. COST was a little over $6400.00 dollars. She then brought over Danielle, (tech there) and showed me her Veneers and they were very nice. Dr. Calcagno put on the Veneers and they looked good at first. After a while one of the Veneers began to fail and turned dark. People commented on this, family and a few friends. I went back and she assured me she guaranteed her work. She agreed one of the Veneers turned dark and said it was the way the light was hitting it. She began to grind away at it and then polished it. Looked the same to me but she said it would be fine. I left. Time passed and it was worse. Went back, she agreed it was darker but did nothing to resolve the issue. I would ask but I felt she was arrogant and condescending. She did nothing to fix the problem. I kept coming back and asking her to please fix it as it looks funny having all white teeth and a DARK FRONT TOOTH. I went back again on September 18, 2020 and had my teeth cleaned and wanted to talk to her again about this faulty Veneer but she began yelling at her staff and ignoring me. She spent about 4 minutes with me then left the room. I left, upset and felt like she took $6400.00 dollars from me with no regard for my concerns. I made another appointment with Calcagno Dentistry on March 18th 2021. Went in and she had finally agreed to fix the DARK VEENEER. I went to the front desk and they said they were going to CHARGE me more MONEY to repair it. I about fell over. I said no this is her responsibility not mine. Then she refuses to talk to me and sends out Stefanie, (office mgr.) to handle it. Stefanie explained they can not mach them anymore and they would need to be redone. I said fine have her redo them. NO CHANCE! Basically told me TOO BAD now leave. I left quite upset. On April 7th, 2021 I received an email from Gregory Griffiths, her Attorney. He explained that she will no longer see me but will settle with me. Here is the EMAIL: Mr. Klatt, I represent Calcagno Cosmetic and Family Dentistry. Please see the attached letter from Dr. Calcagno. I am aware that in the past you expressed concern regarding the color of one of your veneers. Although Dr. Calcagno will no longer be providing services to you, she will agree to reimburse you $650, the cost of the original veneer. If you are interested in this please notify me and I will arrange for payment. Please direct any future communications to my attention. Thank you, Greg. Gregory J. Griffiths Attorney at Law Dr. Calcagno knows she is and was wrong and should have fixed it immediately when I first asked. It would have been a simple fix and cheap for her to do. But she REFUSED to REPAIR IT even though she told me she guaranteed her work! Now she is trying to offer me $650 dollars out of $6400.00 to try and feel good about screwing me. I think she doesn't care because she sold the practice and is going to let the new Dentist worry about it. Dr. Calcagno will let her deal with this. I will be posting this and pictures on social media, Google, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, My Space...Etc...TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRACTICE. If she wants to make this right I want a TOTAL REFUND and will go to someone else who will redo this mess. PLEASE SHARE THIS REVIEW WITH ALL YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY. I AM SURE I AM NOT ALONE IN THIS.
