Blue Sky is an experience that provides a glimpse into world-class dental services. From the very easy-to-use website / electronic scheduling to thoughtful services provided by the dental hygienist and dentist, this place really does differentiates itself from others. It has been one of my favorite dental places. The hours and options available make it a top choice for those with busy schedules. I appreciate the approachable nature of Blue Sky team with options to call, email, and send texts. They are also careful with Covid-19 protocols which is a plus. The team is a well-oiled machine and knows how to make a traditionally long, not so fun dental cleanup to something that is more bearable. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable and takes time to go over your medical history and examination. This is particularly helpful for people like me who wants to get refreshers on best practices and also understand my current dental health and history. I have been a grateful friend (I don't feel like a customer) of Blue Sky Dental for over a year. I am technically limited and it's taken me this long to finally learn how to leave a review. Had I found Blue Sky Dental years ago, I would not have avoided dental exams for a couple of decades. However, a sore tooth would no longer allow me to ignore seeking care. A gracious and superb staff greet me by name as I arrive. Both Dentists are very gracious as they give me clear options and accept my decision to have a tooth pulled rather than trying to save. My first visit went longer than scheduled and the front desk staff filled the parking meter to preclude my getting a parking ticket. All of the staff are warm and kind and they create such an inviting atmosphere...I actually enjoy going to my appointments! If you had similar (bad) experiences elsewhere, then consider Blue Sky. I believe you'll be equally impressed and soon feeling right at home. read more

Unprofessional and terrible new family/customer experience. I was turned away for a simple cleaning because I did not want to pay out of pocket for x-rays, when we were just told by the same office a few days prior that we only needed x-rays every 5 years. I had them taken 3 years ago and provided them for the office days in advance of my appointment. My insurance only covers them every 5 years, which is standard. I spent a week providing their office their 3 different requests to provide documentation and approval to get me past x-rays. The lady at the front desk made me feel terrible that I could not afford the x-rays as I am getting married in 3 weeks. Her solution was to wait until my insurance pays for it which she had told me 5 min before would be in 2 years. How is that a solution to getting my teeth cleaned for my Wedding? I also made sure to indicate in writing that I have dental anxiety and only wanted a cleaning, so not informing me ahead of time that they required x-rays or they would not see me was not "Do No Harm". I also took a half day off of work to show up to this terrible experience. read more

First time here and it was great. I was able to schedule my appointment online and even able to fill out my medical history/ HIPAA forms online so that when I arrived to the actual clinic for my appointment there wasn't anything for me to fill out. I waited no more than a couple of minutes in the waiting area before being seen. They have water and a Keurig available there in the waiting room. The receptionist was very kind and helpful. The actual cleaning was fantastic. Nicole was taking care of me and she is the best. Very nice and kind. I was offered the complimentary option to put my hands in a wax type thing akin to what happens in a spa which was an awesome option but I declined. They also have a TV on the ceiling and headphones so that you can be occupied while they do their work. They provide plastic protective eye wear so no splashed or anything get in your eyes also. They were very good with Xrays and cleaning and answered all of my questions. I felt like their work was thorough and I'm very glad they took their time with me to do a good job. My only regret is not coming here sooner. At least I know which clinic to recommend to friends and family now :-) read more

Doctor and her staff did a phenomenal job on me today. Shot me up full of lidocaine and worked on my root canal. Nearly fell asleep numerous times while enjoying the massage chair and watching HDTV on the ceiling, all while they worked. Very professional, informative, and friendly service. Terrific dentist. Both my son and I are patients here. Dr. Y is tremendously good at what she does, and the same goes for her staff as well. Facilities and equipment are immaculate and state of the art. The TV's over the chairs that allow you to watch a show or news makes the whole visit far more comfortable. read more

Had a wonderful experience! The staff is so friendly and helpful. They were so nice answering all my insurance questions. The location is downtown so parking can be a little challenging but if you park in certain ramps they will validate your parking! Which I thought was really great. Blue Sky Dental is the most professional and inviting dental place that I've been to in Rochester. In April 2015, I went in for a teeth cleaning and check-up. I didn't have to wait long in the lobby once I arrived. I didn't have any, but complementary tea, coffee, water and granola bars are available to patients while they wait. Before the actual examination, I was offered a therapeutic hot wax treatment for my hands, was asked what TV channel I would like to watch (since all of the stations have overhead TV's that you can listen to with a wireless headset), and was asked about the massage setting for the massaging chairs patients sit in while their teeth are being worked on. Blue Sky, by far, has created the most relaxing and inviting atmosphere in comparison to any of the past dental clinics I've ever been to. After my teeth cleaning, Dr. Langton-Yanowitz was professional and meticulous in her examination of my teeth. Instead of making general comments about the condition of my teeth, she individually inspected each tooth and recorded how much gum recession I had into the computer and she explained to me exactly what she was recording and what that meant. It shows that she genuinely cares about your dental health and that she doesn't think of you as just another patient. The cost for the appointment was very reasonable and I wasn't "nickel and dimed" like some dentists I've been to in the past have done. All of the costs are very transparent before you make the appointment so there will be no "hidden surprises" once you arrive. Overall, the whole experience was very pleasant and I look forward to going back to Blue Sky again in the future. read more

I can't say enough good things about my experience! The veneer came off my front tooth last night and I was able to get an appointment early this morning to be seen! Not only did I get to watch Bravo TV and be completely relaxed during the entire process, but they took the time to make sure I was happy with how my front tooth looked and felt. Honestly my smile looks better now than before the veneer fell off last night! I couldn't be happier with the result and appreciate the time that was taken to help me in a last minute situation. read more

This dental clinic is so beautiful, with a very calming and relaxing spa environment. I liked it as soon as I walked in, and the staff is so nice and friendly. I was asked if I wanted a complimentary hand paraffin wax, and seated in a very comfortable, massaging dental chair. They asked what channel I wanted to watch on an overhead TV and if I wanted headphones! All of those extras took the edge off from actually being at a dental office. Dr. Langton-Yanowitz was so friendly and I could tell that she really cared about me and my dental health. I left there feeling very happy that I went. Dr. Langton-Yanowitz is an amazing dentist who does her job exceptionally well and is very knowledgeable about what she does and it shows in the care and treatment she gives you. Staff at Blue Sky don't understand insurance billing/estimates. Refused to continue treatment unless we prepaid for services prior to submitting to insurance. Our current bal is $20.48. I don't know any dentist or medical facility that expects you to pay up front when you have insurance. It is against Minnesota statute to refuse treatment for inability to prepay when you are covered under insurance. The response I received is 'I need to pay my staff' I spoke on the phone with the dentist. She assured me they would work with us re treatment/payments. We relocated to Rochester and needed to find a new dentist. She denied talking to me. If you want a 'free' paraffin wax then BSky is your place to go. If you want dental care. Beware. I would not recommend. The needs of the patient does not come first. My husband now has an appointment elsewhere and they have no problem waiting to get paid until after the insurance processes. read more

Great downtown location and relaxing comfortable atmosphere. Liked the overhead TV screens with ear phones so I could watch my favorite shows. Also liked the massage dental chairs and complimentary spa hand wax therapy. The staff was welcoming and friendly and the dentist was gentle and knowledgable.
