He examined me, took x rays and saw that my tooth was infected and needed to come out immediately. He got me in the next day even though it was his day off, along with his assistant who had the day off also. He performed a root canal and I was in and out in two hours. This was compounded by my medical condition which included chemo therapy. Dr. Hansen even contacted my Hematologist at Mayo Clinic to let him know that this procedure was not invasive and the risk of infection was zero. Dr. Hansen and his assistant went above and beyond on this particular day. He saved me from a great deal of pain and possible complications because of my medical condition. I have nothing but praise for Dr. Hansen and his team!! If you need a dentist, Central Park Dendistry is definitely the place to go!!

I hate to leave this Clinic for another...But I am going to. Why? One reason, without going into great detail, I have developed some health issues that have left me handicapped. The building, in my opinion, is not very handicap-friendly. If you are in a wheelchair, on a scooter, or even on crutches, good luck even getting thru the 2 entry doors. There is no button to open them automatically. And once inside, you will find seating in the waiting room uncomfortable (if you are handicapped). But these are not the MAIN reasons I am leaving. My biggest issue is the fact that patients have virtually NO privacy: The exam/treatment room is one large space with the exam chairs PARTIALLY separated by portable / NOT SOUNDPROOF "walls". True...Patients cannot SEE each other, but they can HEAR each other quite well. In other words, if the Dr. or staff members ask you specific questions about ANY of your health issues, meds, etc., patients on both sides of you will EASILY hear the entire conversation. And you will hear THEIR personal stories. Not to mention any sounds of discomfort are also "public". Your neighbors will ALSO hear your diagnosis, comments like "you need to floss more often", etc., etc. I mean, what good is HIPAA in a public venue? I never gave any of this much thought until I developed these health issues. But I have decided that I no longer want to share MY personal health issues, meds, etc. with strangers. And I am tired of struggling with the doors.

We waited for about 10 minutes until the nurses took us back into a room to examine my daughters teeth and asked us a few questions. Next, my daughter was escorted out to get ready for anesthesiology. I was taken back to the waiting room. I waited for an hour and a half until they were done. The dentist talked to me and said everything went well and I could pick up daughter in about 20 minutes in the back of the building. 20 minutes passed...I drove around the back and waited for my daughter. She came out with a friendly nurse. She was a bit tipsy but happy to see me. My daughter told me that she wanted to see me back in the recovery room but the nurses wouldn't allow it. She also told me that the anesthesia wore off too early and she could feel everything while they were pulling out her last tooth! She tried to tell them she was in pain and wanted them to stop but they ignored her and pulled anyway. She was in pain. She ended up crying and just wanted to go to bed. Not a good memory. At least she will never have to get it done again. And on another note...they were not fully covered by my insurance. I called them ahead of my daughter's appointment and the receptionist said we were covered, but surprise...we were not. A little too late to change doctors. Ughhhh....

My 82 year old grandmother was nearly killed by Dr Lyell Hogg at this place! She went in last month…read moreto have several teeth pulled to be fitted for dentures. Her description was "TORTURE!" She left the place bleeding so badly she had to go to the emergency room who sent her BACK to Dr. Hogg to fix what he did wrong! After bleeding for several hours she was given NO GAS and NO NUMBING before Novacaine. He had to repack and resuture the work he had just done hours prior! We were told to wait in a room for her, and instead a beeper went off telling us to drive around and pick her up, and were told "Men don't always do what they're told" when asked why we were waiting in a room and she never came out. She was sent home with NO ICE pack and only a few small 2x2 gauze. She was given a liquid medication to help with bleeding that needed refrigerated and NO ONE was told she was even given this! Needless to say a month later she is back in the hospital because of this TERRIBLE doctor who should be fired for malpractice! Don't bring your loved ones here, I WOULD NEVER TRUST THEM AGAIN WITH ANY OF MY FAMILY!
