The supervisor named JACKIE deserves to be fired…read more My partner and I called into the Pinner branch to let them know about a pick up of 3 items we purchased a few days prior. Jackie proceeded to state that without a receipt she's refusing to release our furniture items. We did not have a receipt nor were we told that this was the requirement upon collection of the items. My partners name, mobile number and items we purchased were recorded on their "system" (which she told my partner and they both agreed it was on record) however she changed her story to..."it is only written on a piece of paper which is used to produced a receipt" (what she told me on a separate phone call) We asked for a refund seeing as she was refusing to let us collect £85 worth of furniture and she then claimed that she would not be giving a refund without said receipt again. I explained that I have photos of the items that I took before purchasing them, a bank statement showing proof of purchase on the day and the location of their store. Again she refused. She ended the call shouting that I should just "speak to the manager on Monday" She is extremely rude and condescending and sounds as if this job is the bane of her existence. Charity shops are supposed to be kind spirited environments for both customers and employees and this woman is very mean spirited to say the least. She clearly didn't know the company policies (as it states online you only need a receipt for a return and refunds are up to the stores discretion) but all she did was shout and belittle both myself and my partner on the phone. Avoid this store at all costs. Unless she is removed of course. Worst experience I've had with a charity shop and all due to one incompetent individual (JACKIE). I will be contacting my lawyers after Monday if this issue is not resolved.

If I were reviewing it based on where I think you should shop, I would give it a five because of…read morethe charity mission, but making an honest assessment of it compared to other retail counterparts nearby gives it a three. The store is a bit disorganized and not curated in perhaps the most appealing way it could be, and the prices can be very cheap or oddly expensive. While the prices on the furniture often look like great deals, all the great deals seem to be marked "SOLD" while still sitting on display. They're a small shop but really try to sell a lot of things, from toys to media to knitting supplies to apparel and accessories, but that meands not too much selection in any one category. They sell both new and used goods. It's often difficult to find a salesperson at the register if you just walk in, so if you're trying to make a purchase and someone is nowhere to be found, try walking into the Furniture section where there is probably a person or two in the back room. I encourage you to make donations here, as they accept donations in both cash and used goods! Please try not to bring junk, as that is the bane of charity shops and they are not a garbage disposal service :)
