I am giving this company one star becuase it does not allow for less.
This store/company seems okay with its casual designs but then you are hit with it's poor poor...POOR QUALITY. I bought my first pair of mens sandals the London store and the sandals broke the second time I wore them, so disappointed as I was at a beach in Santa Monica with no shoes and they were unwearable so I had to go home barefoot. So annoying. Still, I wrote it off as a fluke defective pair.
Having written my first pair off as back luck, I made the awful mistake of purchasing another pair from this brand while inMexico. This time - the mistake was my own fault for giving them a second chance.
I tried on my right foot (which is the bigger foot) and go ahead and buy them from a bathing suit shop. As my credit card was charged, the attendant needed to cut quite a bit of the strap off because the ankle strap for the buckle would be too long even for an elephant ankle (it was like a belt, whats the point of that? Maybe to carry them over your shoulder when they break!). I put them on in the store so I could take off my trainers and the entire right shoe was totally different strap sizes then the left. It wouldn't even stay on my foot I would take a step and the shoe would fly out in front of me with each step. The store attendant says it happens a lot with this brand (hint!) so they are good at taking them back (which is already surreal to hear it be that common) but she could not return/exchange because sale went through already. I could only get a store credit but I was leaving and didnt like anyhitng in the store. It was one of those cheap stores that sold lower quality items such as cheap board shorts and stuff. Nothing I wanted.
So I arrive back home and email Laidback London. After a few days I get a response apologizing and asking questions like which store, name of model etc.
All BS because they know far too well the make and model are not on the sandal, how would a customer know? They dont come in a box with model but in a mesh bag. just a delay tactic so I decide to email them pics of shoes as well as the defects.
I guess with nothing else to say in light of my photos, they decided not to email back. Going on 3 weeks now since my last email LaidBack London has preferred to ignore rather then own and respond for the bad quality of their products, only instilling that of terrible quality of their customer service as well.
Laidback London = Bad quality, bad service.
FAIL.
*** I DO NOT RECOMMEND BUYING A LAIDBACK LONDON ITEM ANYWHERE. ***
PS: According to the happy reviewer above me (who barely could give them 3 stars, they sell Havallana as well. If you must go to Laidback London BUY THE HAVALLANAS!!!! read more
