Unprofessional - my first appointment was at 10am. The stylist did not arrive until 10:15. Someone did not come to open the salon until about 10:05. Luckily the barber in the shop allowed me and another customer to sit until someone came to open the salon. At my second appointment the stylist arrived at 10:45. I didn't receive an apology at all. The only reason why I had a second appointment is because the stylist needed to install my weave again because my braids were too tight. I also want to add that I had to feed the meter twice (at my first appointment) because she came in late, which waisted time on the meter. This is part of the reason why it's such a nuisance to me when other people don't value your time as much as you do.
Lack of communication - I got my hair done on Saturday, the install was too tight couldn't sleep and by Sunday morning I had to take my hair out because it hurt so bad. I called the stylist and told her that I had taken the weave down and undid the braids in the areas where there was too much tension. At no time was I informed that I would have to pay. I was told to not take out anymore braids unless it would be considered a new install at a discounted price of $25 off. My closure was still intact. I had already paid $180 for a basic closure install. When I arrived at the salon she started doing my hair and midway into the install I was told by the manager that I had to pay $90 because she had to braid some of my hair. I advised the manager that I was not informed of this and that I had explained to the stylist over the phone how much of the braids I had taken out. At no time was I informed that I would have to pay again. If I would've know I would've braided my hair myself. The stylist said that she thought only the back of my hair needed to be braided. I don't think that was my fault. I explained to her very clearly what I had taken out. Needless to say I ended up paying the extra $90. I was put in a bad position. I had taken off from work for this appointment and I needed my hair done because I had to go to work the next day. It was too much of a short notice to find another stylist. Laid by Tima got me this time but they won't get me again. I will not return. Professionalism, clear communication, and customer service needs to be improved. read more
