The ingredients taste fresh, the ambience is fantastic, the food is well cooked with the right amount of spice and the service is excellent. Not really comparable with Indian restaurants in India or the UK. Ambiance is very nice despite being in Rüsselsheim (I hate Rüsselsheim). Service very attentive.. no flaws here. Aperitifs were spot on. I went with a tandoori mix platter of beef, lamb, chicken, and prawns which were all cooked to juicy perfection. There was an accompanying sauce which was not spicy enough for my tastes but then again, I didn't ask themm to turn up the heat. Mrs. S had a prawn mango dish which was too sweet for my tastes but she enjoyed it immensely. All the usual extras were inn order (basmati rice, nan, etc). Afterwards we had a Shahi coffee and a Poire Williams (excellent for the price). All in all I felt Shahi was every bit as good as some of Frankfurt's more well known Indians. Prices were appropriate, service was great. Basically one of the very few places in Rü-heim worth eating at and we will be back often.

The curry is watery and barely has chicken, the yogurt sauce is like water, and they give you a massive portion of rice to trick you into believing it's worth the money. They put in two new plasma screen tvs but still cook everything in one of 6 microwaves. Definitely not coming back, they need to get their priorities straight. You don't skimp on food and waste money on installing multiple flat screens instead.
