Not really comparable with Indian restaurants in India or the UK. Ambiance is very nice despite being in Rüsselsheim (I hate Rüsselsheim). Service very attentive.. no flaws here. Aperitifs were spot on. I went with a tandoori mix platter of beef, lamb, chicken, and prawns which were all cooked to juicy perfection. There was an accompanying sauce which was not spicy enough for my tastes but then again, I didn't ask themm to turn up the heat. Mrs. S had a prawn mango dish which was too sweet for my tastes but she enjoyed it immensely. All the usual extras were inn order (basmati rice, nan, etc). Afterwards we had a Shahi coffee and a Poire Williams (excellent for the price). All in all I felt Shahi was every bit as good as some of Frankfurt's more well known Indians.
