Kathy made sure our mom's funeral program was complete and delivered to the church even though she had a family funeral in the days leading up to mom's service. The program was beautiful and we received many complements. We came in from out of town to plan the service and Kathy offered many resources to help us move forward at this overwhelming time. After the funeral Kathy followed up and reminded us of details that we hadn't even thought of. SO HELPFUL!!! Kevin, Eric,…read moreand Diana (including the other staff present) went above and beyond from the moment we called. We had to bring our deceased loved one from CA to Chicago and thanks to them the process was completely smooth and without any issues. We felt lost, this being the first funeral we ever had, and they walked us through the entire process with such care and dedication we felt we were family. Their compassion and their attention to detail is something we will never forget. They made every effort to accomodate our wishes and help with our grieving guests to the extent that restrictions for Covid allowed. Their prices are very reasonable and honestly, we are grateful they are the kind of family business that is there for you when you are in such a vulnerable situation. They never once pushed any add ons we didnt need, and kept our budget precisely as we needed. Honest, hard working, caring people. We were lucky to find them at such a difficult time. Highly recommend them to anyone that needs funeral services.

AVOID WHITE-LOVE! Funeral Director Should Consider a Change in Careers…read more My fiance passed away this Spring and his family chose White-Love Funeral Home. I was too devastated to care where or what was happening... and I had attended funerals are White-Love when I was a kid in the 90s and remembered it being quaint and homey. Unfortunately, literally nothing has changed or been updated, including the carpet, gross folding sliding dividers, bathrooms, and resting area for the family. I was taken aback when I first walked in that nothing had changed since I was a kid. I made my way to the TV to plug in my computer for a slideshow. I was having trouble with getting the correct input and asked for help. Unfortunately, the staff member was fairly useless but I figured it out on my own. Towards the end of the night, I heard comments about the bathrooms being gross, not stocked, staff members eating with the door open, and other unprofessional mishaps. But I survived it. The next day we had a private funeral, there was no lining up of the cars, and the service had begun before I even arrived. I was so heartbroken. When it was time to pay our bill ($13,000), my mother called several times to see when the funeral director would be in, each time she was not there. My mother left a message with a very kind and considerate employee who offered her apologies and said that she would forward our concerns to the director. Later that afternoon we got a call that the director was in, so my mother accompanied me to the funeral home. When we arrived Donna Love acted as if she had no idea about our concerns at first, became extremely defensive and rude, coming up with excuses right and left, even blaming my fiance's father for some of her shortcomings. Not once did she apologize or offer an ounce of sympathy. We left without paying that day and she proceeded to hound my fiance's father with phone calls saying that she needed to be paid and that we were so rude to her. She never called to apologize to us for her behavior and the poor state of the facility. We had to contact her and force an apology before we paid her. One of the worst experiences of my life. Please do yourself a favor and choose an alternative option for your loved ones who have passed. Donna Love is in the WRONG business.

I have been to several services managed by these funeral directors at numerous locations on the southwest side of the city and suburbs. Yes, I'm a part of one of those families who knows someone that knows someone. I live in a small world. Heck, after I met my husband I found out that our families were linked through many mutual acquaintances. The previous funeral director, Ed Tybor, went to the same school and parish as my grandpa. Ed's daughter Judy, the current director, just so happens to be a very close friend of my mother-in-law. So I met Judy when I was a little girl and now know her better thanks to my in-law's relationship. In both realities of knowing of her and now actually knowing her, she excels in a difficult job that requires skill and patience. Judy is the best funeral director you can ask for. She is compassionate, discreet and understanding, and she knows her business well. She took care of my grandpa's services and will be handling my husband's grandpa this weekend. Kubina-Tybor is the best solution in your emotional time of need.
