The drinks here are so creatively themed and deliciously fresh too. We grabbed a Zingiber Fizzie and a Snow Leopard Salvation without alcohol. Both are overflowing with fresh herbs and a perfect cool sippage to lounge!!! But... the real treat here is the food menu too. Newly updated - but still with homages to the classics!! We grabbed the Chinese Five-Spice Glazed Chicken Wings and the Churros! I loved the PBJ wings but the flavor of these wings is out of this.. jungle!!! The hostess greets you and has a dialogue and lines throughout the experience. We enjoyed the cocktails! Each out is explained by a narrator and has some type of interaction before drinking the cocktail. They provide flat/sparkling water while you enjoy the lo fi music and relaxing ambience. We waited around at our table between cocktails and were left without water a few times. At one point the manager brought us water but flat while we were drinking sparkling. He did come over and apologize which was appreciated. The team consisted of a main bartender, two narrators the hostess and manager. The manager during our 2 hours spent majority of the time with one table likely friends or VIPs which probably could have been better served assisting with waters and popcorn. The valet also struggled to find our car which was alarming and then when they did locate it, we found the valet hang tag on the floor hence why they could not locate the keys. This was supposed to be one of the highlights of our trip. The day before our reservation, OpenTable texted asking us to confirm our 6:00 PM reservation. I replied "1" and immediately received a response: **"Thanks! You're confirmed. See you soon."** The next evening, dressed up and excited for our anniversary dinner, we arrived at 6:00 PM only to be greeted with, essentially, "Nope, we're closed for a private event." As the attached photos show, Bourbon Steak was closed for a planned corporate event. Yet somehow our reservation remained active. We received no email, no text message, no Disney app notification, and no communication whatsoever that our reservation would not be honored. The explanation given was that they tried calling, but my voicemail was full. While that's true, the restaurant had multiple other ways to contact us, including OpenTable, email, and the Disney reservation system. Instead, OpenTable reconfirmed our reservation less than 24 hours before arrival and Disney still showed it as active minutes before we walked through the door. Private events happen. What should never happen is confirming a reservation, keeping it active across multiple systems, and then turning guests away at the door on a milestone anniversary because the restaurant failed to communicate. The manager offered to move us to another restaurant, but that completely missed the point. We didn't spend months planning an anniversary dinner at Bourbon Steak just to be redirected elsewhere at the last minute. We chose Bourbon Steak specifically. For a restaurant that positions itself as a luxury dining experience, this was a shocking failure in communication, planning, and guest service. We never even got the chance to try the food because the restaurant couldn't manage its reservations properly. What makes this especially troubling is that our friend has worked incredibly hard to maintain her sobriety and recently celebrated 12 months alcohol-free through AA. To be publicly accused of being drunk after reaching such a significant milestone was humiliating, heartbreaking, and completely unnecessary. When we brought our concerns to the General Manager, Scott, we expected leadership. We expected someone who would take a moment to assess the situation, listen to both sides, and use his own judgment. Instead, he simply stated that he trusted his employees and made no effort to independently evaluate what had happened. A manager's job isn't to blindly accept accusations. A manager's job is to gather facts, assess the situation, and make informed decisions. In this case, Scott failed to do that. As a result, the restaurant lost a party of 10 customers. More importantly, they deeply hurt someone who has spent the last year fighting for her sobriety. That's the part of this experience we won't forget. Everyone makes mistakes. Great restaurants acknowledge them, learn from them, and treat people with dignity. Unfortunately, this experience was defined by assumptions, poor judgment, and a complete lack of empathy from both the staff and management.

You cannot park at the Boardwalk without a reservation and this does not take reservations. I would recommend a bus from Disney Springs, or cut through the park if you have a pass. You can also park at Studios and take the Skyliner to EPCOT and then walk over or boat to Boardwalk. It is not the easiest to get here but you can do it. Inside they offer bar seating and then a couple of high-top tables and then couches and bench tables. There is a server that will come to you if you are not at the bar. The theme is magicians and magic, they have pictures on the walls that move and change, everything has a magic theme. There is also props and such with the same magician theme. It is not super big and can get busy, but we have usually had a good chance to get a seat. We do go early though, we have not been here late in the evening. You can also grab a drink to go which a lot of people do. It is between Flying Fish and Trattoria Al Forno restaurants, so a lot of people will sit in here waiting or grab a drink before dinner. Some of their drinks are interesting with a couple trying to stay with the magic theme, however, if you don't like any of the drinks, you can just order your own. They have a pretty well stocked bar serving beer, wine, and many different types of liquor. I personally enjoy ordering my own and always go for an espresso martini and a lemon drop martini. There is also food available from 5:00pm to 10:00pm but only 3 options. This is designed as a snack, you are not getting a meal here. My favorite items is the Lump Crab Fries which has Wasabi Aioli, Doenjang, and Tobiko for $17.00. This was a huge portion of crispy thin fries, topped with tons of crab and then drizzled with sauce. The crab was fantastic, really good and did not have a fishy taste which sometimes you get. I would highly recommend them. We will go back for these, they are that good! As we get older we are discovering the more adult things in Disney such as lounges as opposed to riding rides. If you can fit this in, I would highly recommend checking it out.
