The selection of books at this branch is very broad and if you are looking for something that isn't at this particular branch the helpful staff is willing to have the book sent over from another branch. Other than books there are several different things to do at the library. You can rent movies or tv series on DVD. There are computers avaliable for use as well as study rooms for students. Kids classes are avaliable at different times of the month and there is always a calendar to take home to keep track. Many activities for adults as well. The possibilities are endless!

Don't get…read moreme wrong, all of the JP libraries I've been to were still nice, but the Metairie location is so huge! It's two stories, very tidy, nice staff, multiple meeting rooms, and cool displays of both historical figures and modern entertainment. Outside tables, vending machines, a coffee machine, and a microwave are available right outside of the library for the public to use. Also, there's a book donation bin there that collects used books, DVDs, CDs, and Vinyls every Tuesday and Thursday from 9 am to 1 pm which I used for my 2026 New Year cleaning. Overall, a great and diverse public library in the Metairie area!

The Jefferson Parish website is difficult to plow through. I can't go to a tab "best selling books 2016", or "Oscar nominated movies 2021". Needs work to be user friendly.

Not only did they have the book, the wonderful librarians told me about the summer reading program - for adults and children, and about so many other programs available to New Orleans residents.
