We've been with Dr. Maria for nine years and have three kiddos under her care. Every experience we've had with her has been supportive and thoughtful. Dr. Maria is unlike any other pediatrician. She gives out her personal phone number, and you can contact her at any time. This is especially important when you have a baby you're worried about in the middle of the night. Her availability has saved us from unnecessary ER visits many times! She also makes house calls for the first few newborn visits, which is such a gift in those early months of parenthood. She's exactly the person you want in your corner as a new mom. Her office is welcoming, kid-focused, and warm. A special touch we love is her well-trained dog who joins visits--this has made vaccines so much easier for our kids! I cannot recommend Dr. Maria enough. I refer her to all my friends and will continue to do so. You will not be disappointed with the care you receive at her office!

She is kind, compassionate, incredibly responsive, and brings so much energy and warmth to every interaction. There have been multiple occasions when one of our children have shown signs of an ear infection late at night, and she responded promptly, saw them to make an accurate diagnosis, and made sure they received the treatment they needed as soon as possible. Whenever my kids feel anxious about an appointment, she is able to calm their fears, make them feel safe, and even turn the visit into a positive experience. I especially appreciate how thoroughly she explains medical concerns in a way that's easy to understand. She takes the time to answer questions and listens to my concerns. I always feel heard, respected, and confident in the care my children receive. We are so grateful to have found Dr. Ashley and highly recommend her!

At every turn, we have been treated with joy and respect--and I say joy because you get the impression the doctors/nurses here are always happy to see us and the children. That is how Dr. Nam has made us feel each time. I cannot recommend these people highly enough. Two key issues here: 1) we have never in 5 years of being…read morepatients here gotten a same day sick visit. Doesn't matter how early you call. They simply don't offer enough spaces when kids are sick like the winter. There clearly seems to be a way around the system to get booked in advance but that hasn't been offered to us. 2) our son had a severe reaction to a bee sting and their response was to schedule an appointment with an allergist for 3 months in advance. When we asked about how do we keep him safe in the meantime we were told to wait until the allergist appointment in 3 months. We asked a friend who is a pediatrician and they wrote us a prescription for an EpiPen on the spot. Why didn't Bayside? If you don't know how to advocate for yourself in the US healthcare system then don't come here. Your kid will get lost in the shuffle and they couldn't care less. I picked this place based on proximity and some decent reviews but I will not be doing that any longer.

All to have a phone call 1 hour before my appt refusing to be seen because my medical records have not arrived yet from my previous doctor. I don't work in the medical industry. If I've asked multiple times I'd think the office would try a little harder to accommodate their patients and request them theirselves (which they would not do) so here I am 8 months pregnant in a new area with no doctor after waiting 2 months to be seen, having to completely start over. Review #005 - 2017…read more When our company switched over to Anthem Blue, I was super sad because I'd been with Kaiser for more than 10 years and didn't want to switch all of our family doctors. Looking for a new doctor is not an easy task so when I looked around and found that there was a pediatric office in our city, I was quite ecstatic to see all the good reviews. Both of my kids have been seen by this office and I'm glad that I decided to choose them because everyone here is very nice. All of the doctors are very knowledgeable, the nurses are great with the kids and their staff members are friendly. We've already been seen at least 5-6 times in 2016. Our very first appointment was a rushed appointment because my daughter had some eczema and I put Aquaphor ointment on her and she had a terrible allergic reaction to it. I called the office and asked them to see her and was given a same-day appointment at 10 AM even though they were booked for three weeks out. My only complaint is that they don't have a convenient entry for a stroller from the parking lot. Every entry has about 5 steps so you're better off just carrying the car seat or just leaving it in your car since the stroller won't be able to make its way up those steps.

However,…read moreI've never really had a pleasant experience with the front desk but it wasn't significant enough to stop going for this reason. Recently, I had a horrible experience with a flu vaccination appointment for my son. We arrived 15 minutes early for our appointment. I received a text message asking me to check-in upon arrival so I did. I promptly received a confirmation text saying that I was checked in and to tap a link to view my spot in line which I did and saw that we were 5th in line. 20 min pass and people who came after us were getting their shots. So I walked up to the counter and asked what was going on and they said I needed to check-in at the front desk. I asked them then why do they send this link to check-in online and send a confirmation that we're all checked in? There was no sign indicating we needed to check in at the front desk either. At this point, I could see that the front desk staff was not liking my feedback and gave me a sour expression. There was no "I apologize for the inconvenience, I will give our office manager the feedback." I'll just tell you straight up, if you're looking for a pediatrician, don't go here. It's not worth it with the kind of system and the unfriendly staff they have here. It feels too late for me to change given my son has been going here for 9 years now. But if I could do it again, I'd choose somewhere with a better staff and system.
