I have been a tenant at this apartment complex and absolutely recommend this community to anyone that is looking for a new home. I'm leasing one of the townhomes, which is exactly what I was looking for within my price range, location (nearby shopping centers and a great midway point to my job) and privacy. Rudy has been very attentive in making sure my new home was ready and continuously follows up to make sure if I have any questions or concerns he is there to support. The community is very quiet and clean and well maintained by the staff. I recommend living here if you are planning to move somewhere new! read more

I have been very disappointed with Lafayette Green Apartments and its visitor parking policy. Visitors cannot register their vehicles at night because registration is only available when the leasing office is open, leaving guests with no reasonable option other than leaving or risking being towed. In my case, my visitor's car was towed within about 30 minutes to an hour, despite there being no accessible way to register after business hours. I have also noticed ongoing maintenance and cleanliness concerns throughout the property. Common areas are often dirty, and the overall condition of the complex does not reflect the standards residents and visitors should expect. Together, the parking, towing, and maintenance issues have made the experience frustrating for both me and my guests. read more

What can I say? Lafayette use to be my home for plenty of years. They're roach infested, Mold in ac vents. Leasing office does not care. They say they spray every Wednesday. ( they don't ) in all the years I lived there they only came once and it's because I was tired of taking matters into my own hands with pest control. I had moved into an apartment 1705 and it was a nice apartment but literally a few weeks into it , it got flooded. a month later I got super sick. My doctor said it was due to mold. I checked everywhere didn't find it. So then I checked my AC vents and the vents had hella Mold. They told me they can transfer me into a different apartment but I'd have to pay another fee of 300 . I paid it. I moved into my new apartment it was cool. But they never really fixed anything. My dishwasher was suppose to be fixed but all they did was replace it but it still didn't work. The only maintenance guy that ever really worked on my stuff was Jose . He's super nice and tries his hardest to fix the things that need to be fixed. Management always changes front desk people so nobody ever knows anything. Toward the end of my lease I started to get sick again. So like clock work I checked my Ac Vents. Yup you guessed it. Moldy. But Mary said it wasn't mold and argued with me that it wasn't. Her maintenance team told me it was mold. But she swore it wasn't. I honestly think it's because I was almost done with my lease so she didn't wanna let me out. Anyways after arguing back and forth that it wasn't mold Vs it was mold. Her maintenance guy ended lying in front of her and saying it wasn't mold. But then they ended up calling me telling me they can Killiz it . Why killiz it if it isn't ¿mold???? I dunno. But anyways I moved out two weeks earlier than my lease end date. I forgot my charger there for my power tools but they said it wasn't there but I know I forgot it there for a fact. Because I took it out by accident. That's my fault. Anyways I tried to get my Last bill and they've had almost a month to get it together but they aren't able to. Like always they're slacking off. Oh yeah and the new Assist Manager is super rude. She'll be gossiping in the office you walk up and she continues gossiping and doesn't even greet you and when she does she has hella attitude. She just talks over you until she's done saying whatever she's saying. Run from these apartment. Oh yeah also cars are never safe my shit got towed even in a permit. Called the towing company and told them the office didn't give me a new sticker and elite towing me told me either I was lying or Mary was lying to me cause he gave her over 6,000 new stickers. Lafayette is decent looking outside but once you're in. You're trapped. Be careful. As previous Reviewers have stated they are money hungry. That's 100% true. Mary and her team will talk to you like you're stupid. They will try to make you feel like you're stupid. If you get a lease with them read over it as they don't put your deposit fee in. I am very pleased at the way the grounds are kept up, the garbage emptied frequently, and the fact that the complex is very quiet. The maintenance service is good and takes care of everything. The only problem is with parking which is limited here. If you intend to invite multiple friends and family over, this might not be the place. This is the one thing I would recommend you discuss carefully before moving in. read more

I came here to tour and I was given a tour of a one bedroom when I had enquired about a two bedroom. The tour was given to me by Brenda.. she was extremely rude and just cold. You would think when a potential resident comes in, you would want to be inviting and more friendly but she just seemed like she didn't want to give the tour period. Their website isn't updated I guess because all the questions I had asked about the apartment I inquired about she had completely shut me down and told me that nothing else was available?? PLEASE READ MY UNBIASED REVIEW AND TAKE HEED. I usually never ever write reviews on a place because it's better to move on but with that being said... It's a terrible place; I would not recommend it to anyone. I suggest moving to a place that's not near a main road so that you won't have rattling in your place nor near a railroad area. The power just automatically shuts off, sometimes for hours or all night without notice (especially during storms) because it's a section 8 area. Also the water shuts off without the front office notifying any of the residents. The water bill is too high. As a single resident, I was paying up to $50 a month by these scam artist. My neighbor was paying close to $80 for a family. They will constantly place notices on your door about random inspections. The gate is sometimes opened for days so anyone can just walk right in at night and rob you from the neighboring apartments. The property is very very cheap especially the appliances and the pool is straight comedy, it's filthy. There's cats everywhere if you like that sort of thing but if you feed them, you'll be fined. There are roaches everywhere and pest control is an 80 year old guy that sprays 1 corner and leaves while the old blonde haired Hispanic lady by his side has an attitude and that's if he ever comes so I suggest getting some raid, fumigate, place traps and spray it yourself if that works because I had to throw away everything I brought from that place because those roaches almost carried over into my new place until I had it sprayed and threw stuff away (They come with the property and get into electric appliances like the inside of a microwave, the dishwasher and my coffee maker). This if very important - Parking is so terrible, I highly recommend that you make sure that you have a friend(s) or relative that lives in the area because there were nights where I had to sleep in my car and talk to residents without reserved spaces ($45 per spot). Also guest parking is very limited so count inviting guest out. My girlfriend was restricted on coming over because the only visitor parking is in the very front and if you're a resident parking in the front, your car will be towed or they'll place orange bright notes on your car that are very hard to peel off. Asking for a visitor's pass was like pulling teeth because they would get aggy and ask if that person is living with you even though it's being intrusive and rude in your personal life unless they favor you. I suggest visiting the area at night just to see how bad it is. There is something completely off with Mary and the front office people but I can't pin point it and am not worried, karma deals with those type of people. I did not receive a deposit upon moving out even after I've cleaned the place out and left nothing but I'm just glad I'm in a better place of residency. Everyone has an attitude with you (you'll figure out why, more than likely it's undercover racism), maybe it's because I contacted BBB because they tried to scam me into an extended lease and claimed there was no paperwork which I won so that I can leave in 6 months instead of 8. You know a place is bad when you're talking with people that work there about how bad it is and they're agreeing with you. I was just waiting til all the paperwork and everything was done to write this review. I promise, you will read this review and if you move in, everything will make sense and I know people that have broken their faulty leases simply because a 4, 6, 12 month lease wasn't an option and they had to get out immediately. If you're in dire need of a place in that particular area, there are some apartments on Guhn road around the corner but be aware of the flooding in this area. People that aren't friends or relatives with the front office are probably nodding their heads in agreement with pain and regret from reading this post. I like Lafayette Green, they have been attentive to my needs. it's clean, and quiet But they will be resurfacing on the 13-16 and sent out a letter saying tenants can park on a first come for serve bases. Parking is a major issue here so some of us pay to reserve parking to guarantee a spot. Now they say you can park anywhere as long as you don't block dumpsters or another car. What about my spot the spot I pay for it's no longer mine. Then you offer to take off a dollar a day for my inconvenience, forget that where do I park if I come home after eight and the lot is full. Something is wrong with this picture. People with permits should park on a first come first serve bases not people with reserve; I pay not to take chances. I'm calling on all reserve tenants to go in and make your voice heard. read more

It's been more than 3 years that I've lived here and so far everything is great here. The environment is quiet neighbors are great have no problems living here. The maintenance team is very responsive and helpful. The people at the leasing office are very respectful , the two young lady's Anna and Juany have been so helpful when it comes to resolving an issue they take care of it right away. I have lived at Lafayette Green for 16 years and I am very happy. Quiet most of the time, small complex. I feel that the staff responds quickly to fix my problems. Parking issues have been fixed, they put new roofs on and they always are doing repairs or upgrading the outside. I had a problem with roaches once and when the pest control people were not able to get rid of them, the manager did by installing some Combat Gel, great stuff, have not seen a bug since. I highly recommend Lafayette Green if you are looking for a quiet place with few problems. This is the only apartment complex I have lived in where I can purchase a reserved parking space and I personally love this. read more

I do recommend Lafayette Green apartments as a good place to live. I have lived here for about 3 1/2 years now. I can say that out of the many apartments I have lived in over the years this is the best out of all. They are not perfect, but they are relatable, decent people that work here. The manager Mary is fair, personable and professional. I have had good experiences dealing with Juany and Brenda in the office. The maintenance crew has been very available responds to my problems and requests very quickly and even at night after the office has closed. The company keeps the place up with regular repairs and improvements to the outside. I love the new mailboxes that were installed a while back. I also love the new lights they just put up by all of the front doors. It really lights up the whole place at night, not just by the front door but it lights up the whole place and I love it. Nobody hanging out late at night in the parking lots, it's pretty quiet around here. I get home very late and I feel relatively safe here compared to other places I have lived. My car did get broken into once, but I do not blame the apartments for this considering the overall quiet and safety that I see regularly here. read more

the people are nice when they are trying to get your deposit and then turn on you like a rabid dog. why would a lease asst/mgr get upset with a prospective tenant after they paid their money on an apartment after finding MOLe on their kitchen doors? mgt thinks because they did a total cleaning and put in new carpets that a tenant have a lot of nerves to ask for more??? they will show one apartment that is going for $425.00 and then say it is $525.00 because its near the pool, etc? Or, they will say that the deposit is one thing once you pay your application fee to get more money out of you. I wouldn't rush into moving into this place unless you are working at the mambos, lubys or comcast that is in walking distance. the lawns/pool are maintained and is clean. i really can't say anymore because i do not believe in exaggerating stuff. but i don't think its right to go off/Psycho on a tenant /customer because they are asking you (mgmt) to clean up or replace something the last tenant Screwed up!! read more
