I've been going to Jeannette for my hair for over a year now, and I seriously can't say enough good…read morethings about her! I started with virgin dark brown hair, and when I say dark, I mean my hair is basically almost black. I also have curly, textured, thin hair, so there were a lot of factors to consider when I decided I wanted to go lighter. I was definitely nervous about keeping my curls healthy while changing my color, but Jeannette knew exactly what she was doing. We started slowly with some highlights, and after about two or three sessions, I told her I wanted to go even blonder. She talked me through the process and explained that while she could absolutely get me lighter, her priority was making sure my hair stayed healthy, kept its curl pattern, and didn't get damaged. I cannot tell you how happy I am with my hair! I LOVE the color, but what impresses me even more is how healthy my hair still feels. I wrote it off as a mistake however after my second appointment I realized he's not paying attention and not being honest. I had requested highlights and my roots to be lightened,, he did not bring the foils up to my roots and once again gave me money pieces. I immediately told him that the entire crown was significantly dark and I told him again I was not sure why he added money pieces again. After being there for so many hours I was exhausted mentally and physically. I requested it be corrected after I came back from vacation and he agreed, I contacted him once I returned and no response. The appointment was unprofessional as he talks a lot personal life matters, and does not listen. I would caution other customers. I am now going to have to pay another stylist to fix his work.

I was referred to Danielle by a co-worker. I loved my co-workers so I asked her who cut her hair. I…read moremessaged Danielle through Instagram. I sent her pictures of what I wanted, of course I knew that nothing comes out exactly like in the photos but I did give her freedom to pick tones that looked good on my skin. She did tell me that she was going to lift as much as she could without damaging my hair for the first session. To be fair, she hadn't seen my hair before hand or knew if I had box color in my hair which always affects bleaching. I know better than to put box color in my hair so I had nothing but permanent hair dye from a beauty supply. I had several colors in my hair. I had a huge ugly line of demarcation from regrowth of my virgins hair. I will attach photos with numbers so you can see my transition. Photo #1 is my hair color the day before I walked into her suite. Photo #2 is my hair the day after I left the suite, my first bleaching. As you can see it's not exactly what I had in mind but she was able to get a lot of ugly brown colored permanent hair dye. (I never use a 1 or 2 tone black because it's hard to lift.). Picture #3 is about 4-5 weeks later, my second and last bleaching session. Danielle knew I was leaving to France 6 weeks after my first session and knew I wanted to come back about 5 weeks after the 1st session. She advised me to use Finola purple shampoo and to moisturize my hair to get it ready for the next bleaching. She also advised me to use oils on my hair so that it helps with dryness and breakage. I did all of these things and my hair was ready for the 2nd bleaching (pic #3). The second bleaching was amazing. Parts of my hair almost went platinum. I never knew parts of my hair could get like that. Danielle picked a beautiful toner that complimented my skin tone but still gave mean ashy Caramel look but blended in with my hairs natural gold tones. I loved it. Picture #4 is 5 months later the 2nd bleaching (about a week ago from today), and my hair still looks great! It's grown as you can see but the regrowth does not affect the look of my color. Danielle did inform me that she gave a low maintenance style bayalage where I could go for a while without doing my roots. I appreciated that since it's hard to come in to get touch ups. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience sitting a Danielle's chair. She was very informative. She is knowledgeable and she is super friendly. Her suite is clean and cute and she offers you refreshments like coffee or a soda. Her spot is easy to find and it's near a lot of businesses in La Habra. It's hard for me to find someone with a good haircutting hand (that's what I call it). My hair won't grow if someone with a heavy or bad hair cutting hand cuts it. I've been to many stylist who do a good job with a cutting style but my hair won't grow after. Danielle listened when I asked to keep my length and my hair has grown A LOT since I last saw her. I continue to use Finola purple shampoo and oils in my hair to add moisture. I will definitely refer others to Danielle and will be following up with my hair for a trim and possibly more color.
