Other vendors were not allowed early access to the hall as agreed, which caused cascading delays across the entire program. Additionally, the hall was not fully cleaned--trash from the previous event was still present when we entered. The décor (done by French Creek Manor) was also not up to standard, and there were multiple issues throughout the event. When these concerns were raised, the owner refused to acknowledge that the problems were due to mismanagement. There was no accountability or effort to resolve the situation. I strongly recommend against hosting your event at this property.

It was super convenient for friends who already have a kid and dog and are expecting their second one. The arrangements were good, but I would say little expensive for my liking. The starters were good but the we found the main course to be decent. They have a center stage that they can decorate as per your liking, bring out a screen if you want to play something, and overall made sure guests enjoyed the event.

When our venue was shut down 14 days before our big day we felt absolutely helpless - we had no idea where to even begin to find a venue, cater, day-of coordinator and not to mention re-plan all the logistics, etc... I had a wonderful experience working with Stephanie when I was in my cousin's wedding party last September, and so we reached out to her for advise. She immediately jumped into action while on a drive home from a hike with her family and had three venues all with in house catering available on our date and standing by for us to visit for a tour. Stephanie was already booked with TWO weddings our weekend, but still stepped in with a big smile on her face ready to save the day. Within 48 hours Stephanie helped us get from feeling defeated to excited and confident that our day was going to be better than we could have ever imagined. I like to think of myself as a pretty organized, type A personality and always said "I see the value of a day-of coordinator, but planning my wedding will be fun! I don't need to hire someone to do it for me!" What I didn't realize until working with Stephanie was that with the right wedding planner, it actually becomes MORE fun! She was able to work right along side me and helped me flesh out my vision and made suggestions that made my ideas come to life. Not to mention that because Stephanie has relationships with so many wonderful vendors, she was able to linked us up with those that were able to be respectful of our budget and helped us SAVE money! I am now a totally converted and am the biggest advocate for hiring a wedding planner (specifically Stephanie) :). Day of Stephanie and Jen were both SO wonderful - they worked hard to make our day stress-free and fun! As well as all of her incredible vendor contacts that all jumped in and helped execute the new plan flawlessly. That day we were able to completely forget about the major change in plans that happened just 14 days prior and were able to live in the moment with all our guests! She is the perfect combination of professional and making you feel like family and we feel incredibly lucky to have had her on our team those two weeks. I thought a custom cake would be similar to what I've experienced at Pomegranate. Alas, no. Thus begins my tale of ordering a cake for a special occasion--The Ol' Mangaretta's birthday. Now, Mang loves vanilla cake with vanilla icing. Yes. Plain ol' vanilla done right is amazing. I wrote to LDC and asked if they could make an all-butter, vanilla cake for me, seeing that the people I'd be celebrating with have allergies and butter is the safest oil. They assured me that it would be no problem. I went to pick up the cake, and was surprised that the process was disorganized. Okay, well, I'll just take my cake. After a long wait, I got said cake. I was so excited when I got it home--it was beautiful! They took great care in decorating it. We cut it, and then began the disappointment. The cake tasted burnt, though it only was a deep brown. It was overdone, for sure. If I'd baked it, I would have trimmed off the top, bottom, and sides. The buttercream was decent, but the burnt flavor overwhelmed everything else. So, sorry, my dear Pomegranate peeps, but one star for your connection to Pomegranate, beautiful decorating, and decent buttercream, and minus four stars for disorganized pick-up and burnt, pricey cake that ended up down the drain.
