My neighbours hired this company for landscaping, and in the process, Nicholas Gardenscaping crossed onto my property and cut back my mature maple tree--right down to the trunk. This wasn't minor trimming; it was complete destruction. That tree took over 40 years to grow and, in a single afternoon, they butchered it beyond recognition. What was once a beautiful, full tree that provided privacy and character to my backyard is now a bare, lifeless eyesore. There was absolutely no attempt to consult me before cutting branches that were clearly on my side of the fence. Any professional landscaping company should know better than to cross property lines without permission, let alone do irreversible damage. This shows a complete lack of professionalism, basic judgment, and respect for others' property. That tree was a highlight of my yard and a natural privacy screen. Now, it's just a daily reminder of the careless and destructive work done by this company. While my neighbors have agreed to pay for a new fence to help restore some privacy, that does nothing to replace what was lost. Under new management, led by Zach Nicholas, this company appears to be both unskilled and unprofessional. I strongly recommend avoiding Nicholas Gardenscaping if you value your property and expect competent, respectful service.

My complaint with this company is that they haven't honored the warranty to replace the emerald…read morecedar trees that died last summer(2017) with new trees.I had 74 hedging cedars planted late spring last year and 4 had already had begun to die before the job was completed and I was assured by Leah one of the owners along with her husband Sean that if any that didn't survive over summer would be replaced in Sept.They completed the job and told me I had priority and they would contact me beginning of Sept before they left.I watered and cared for the trees to the best of my ability but still lost 20+ trees over that summer.September came,I waited for a call/text about the progress of the trees and when they would follow through on the warranty work replacing the dead trees.I never received any communication till early Oct when I texted Leah and she asked how many trees died and send pictures which I did.Then she told me her husband would contact me which never happened.Almost 6 months(Mar/Apr 2018) had passed and no word so I texted Leah about fulfilling their obligations to which she replied she had some health/divorce issues so communication was a problem.She stated she would follow through but she was booked solid a couple of weeks and would touch base.I waited over a month,contacted her about it being too late to plant now.She apologized saying she had been swamped and suggested waiting till Sept and she would send a programmed text on the 1st.The text came I replied as to when she would be able to do the warranty work.Finally a reply late Sept only after I told her if she would not complete the warranty work I would file a complaint with the BBB.She replied stating she had ongoing legal/personal issues with her husband at the moment but would deal with me soon.I replied about a reimbursement but she said she was broke paying lawyers for legal issues.I then offered to dig,transport and plant the trees myself if it could resolve the issue but she declined.

Before Steve and Lisa showed up at my home, I perused their web site. One of the things that immediately interested me was how they calculate their pricing. I dislike paying for services without knowing whether I'm being charged a "fair" price. The Little Green Mowing Company bases their prices on the square footage of their customers' lot. So there's no "guessing" or wondering whether you're getting as good a price as somebody else. When Steve and Lisa showed up to have a look at my property, Steve was insistent that they make a clean edge along my flowerbeds and wherever the grass butted up against the sidewalk, fence and curb. Before I got sick, I used to maintain these areas myself with just a grass trimmer. Since my home sits on a corner lot, there is a significant amount of edging to do, including two boulevards. Steve said it would take extra time to clean up all the edges, but he further explained that, after this was done, it would be easy for him to maintain at no further cost. I was reluctant to spend the extra money for this because my finances are tight, but after further discussion, I gave Steve the green light. In short, it was worth every penny and then some. I had numerous people comment how great our lawn looked this year. Bottom line: Get the edging done if Steve and Lisa recommend it. You will be astounded how much it enhances the curb appeal of your property. Steve and Lisa did a fabulous job. Lisa is almost always smiling which brightened my day. They make a great team. I'm sure I could find a neighborhood kid to cut my grass for a lot less, but I've learned long ago that you almost always get what you pay for. I would much rather pay a fair price for a great looking yard, than pay a great price for just a fair looking yard. I give The Little Green Mowing Company two thumbs way up. However, I sure hope Steve and Lisa can maintain the quality of service as their company expands. It's tough to find people who take the same pride of workmanship and attention to detail that Steve and Lisa demonstrate, but I'm hopeful that they will find a way to do it.

Although they were fully booked Dave agreed to come out and see what I needed to have completed. I had 2 yards of soil that needed to be spread, some shrubs that were to be removed and shrubs that needed trimming. I told him that my schedule was very flexible and I would make myself available if they could do the job. He said he could help if I was willing to wait a bit. He would send out the crew when they were in between jobs in the area. Two weeks later he contacted me to confirm they would be coming the next day. The two young, energetic and enthusiastic fellows top dressed my flower beds in no time flat. Cory was lead hand and his attention to detail was very much appreciated. He checked in with me before starting the job to make sure we were on the same page and he made sure all trimming and removals were exactly as I wanted. I was very happy with the completed job and will not hesitate to call on them in the future.
