    Paved path

We loved this trail to come back again to Lady Bird Johnson Park. This time we started the trail from the Los Patios end. The other day we started from the other end. Love that this is a mostly shady easy, paved path with a few stretches of full sun. During the day the lippia/frogfruit were attracting a lot of butterflies. With the rain yesterday, areas that were dry the other day are now gushing rivers. We even spotted an egret/heron. I was such in a rush to head back that I almost missed the doe and her fawns. I was saying earlier that a sighting would make this trail awesome! No photo of them though because they quickly ran away. We finished our walk before the gates closed and also right before the sky opened and rained! Highly recommended!

Lady Bird Johnson Park has a trailhead on the Salado Creek Greenway that heads south/downstream towards Tobin Park and north/upstream towards McAllister Park. We love heading north on the trails because you walk along a boardwalk (the Morningstar Boardwalk, a memorial) alongside the creekbed. You get to see a wetland ecology with reeds and wildflowers, willows and oaks, bugs, fish, frogs, snails, birds, and more. This is one of the gems of the Howard W. Peak Greenway Trails system.

I go to the dog park often and this far it's been great. They haven't had water recently or poop bags but other wise it's perfect there minima traffic for dog so it's easy for dogs like mine that get to overwhelmed at McDonald's allister

This is a great park with many offerings. Enough options to please almost everyone. Some of the offerings are: Swimming Pool Skate Park Picnic Softball Fields Soccer Fields Tennis Courts Basketball Court The park is a gateway to the Salado Creek Greenway trail, a great place to walk, jog or bicycle. Come on and exercise and commute with nature in a great park.

Was at an appointment nearby and decided to find a little park for me and my 1.5 year old to visit. The playground itself seems very new and well kept which is always a good thing when you have little ones. It was about 3 Pm when we arrived and there only about kids there. I noticed little drawings on the ground with inspirational quotes which I thought was a really nice touch. We walked passed the playground to sit on the benches and eat a snack and it was pretty quite and benches were well maintained. I saw other buildings down the street but didn't get to explorer further maybe next time.

This is a nice little playground that has lots of different activities. Swings for all ages and different skill level climbing surfaces. Soft rubberized surface is great and has a fence around the area to make sure your tiny humans don't run off. There is lots of parking and open areas nearby to walk around.

It's a nice park. Sometimes it seems sketchy, especially if you're alone, but just try to go during the day time. I've visited the dog park & have run on the trails. Both which are located toward the very back of the park. The dog park is quaint, but the times I've taken my pup it has been empty. That's not always a bad thing though. Sometimes my pup just wants to be off the leash & run around without being bothered. The trails are also nice. I like the boardwalk feel the trails have for a portion of your run. Do know the "boardwalk" portion can be slippery! I almost fell a couple times, haha. They do have signs warning you too. What I really really liked about the trails though was one of the hills you reach about two miles into your run (you have to take the right trail in order to see the hill). Once you reach the top of the hill there is a small rest area with huge rocks that overlook Wurzbach. It's such a nice view. Especially right now with all the Spring flowers blooming. You'll even see some bluebonnets off the trail.

Peace is what is expected and peace is what you get here.

Good place for a jog or run. They have a trail which runs along Wurzbach. They have kids park, dog park, soccer and soft ball fields. My go to place on a calm evening.

Not the greatest pool. Only goes up to 4 feet. There's not much shade here. It is good for younger kids though has a big shallow area

Pretty, shady (as in, "under the shadow of trees", not scary-shady), plenty-of-parking access to the Salado Creek Greenway.
