She said that it would be easy to do and would just have to lighten a lot in a balayage way. I arrived to my appointment And she looked at my hair and told me that it would take way more time and could not get it done in my appointment time. She told me it would take at least two appointments. I then asked if it would cost more than what she originally charges for the service. She replied with two or more visits making it close to 400.00 or more. No hairstyle is worth that much and I was expecting my hair to be done. So she then proceeded with there's a cancellation fee of 87.50 and she would not let me leave til I paid it. The truth of the matter is she cancelled on me after she told me how easy it would be to do my hair prior to her seeing me. I then tried disputing the charge through my bank and she would not give me my money back. Her and her friend in the salon at the time were very unprofessional and immature. She needs to do what's right since tge cancellation was due to her and not me. I showed up for the appointment wanting my hair done. I work in tge medical field and if a patient shows and under a circumstance due to our advice can't be seen, we do not charge a cancellation fee. The patient showed up and we cancel on them, it's on is not them.

I've been going to Maureen for all of my hair changes for many years now, and I have sought her out no matter the salon. When I first started working with Maureen, I was still living in San Diego. Now, living in the Bay Area, I have continued to travel in order to book my appointments with Maureen. Truth be told, there is no other stylist I trust to work on my hair. Maureen knows color like no other. Initially, highlighting my hair was the only vision I had, and she worked with me effortlessly to deliver a result that outshined even my imagination. But as I've continued to seek out appointments with Maureen, my hair journey has evolved and we started experimenting. I find that Maureen produces the best work when you give her an open canvas to work on. I come to her with a loose idea and let her creativity take the wheel; and there is really nothing I recommend more than just letting her work her magic. All in all, if you're looking for a long term hairstylist that you can trust to make all of your wildest hair dreams come true, you will certainly find it in Maureen.

She offered me coffee/tea in the morning and was accomodating. I enjoyed the space itself as well. Clean, open, spacious, all white, and organized. In the time you have to wait for the dye, you can try on makeup! So that was a fun bonus in the salon. They also have some great product lines to browse through to pass the time. I have a hard time sitting for too long, and so that was the only drawback for me, that the foil could have been done a bit faster (sorry kelly)!
