Great experience with First Coast! I recently purchased a new house with pool equipment I was…read moreunfamiliar with as it differed from prior house. I contacted the pool installer to see if they could come give me tutorial on the equipment they installed but couldn't even get a call back. I contacted at-least 5 other pool companies for a tutorial/inspection and quote for weekly service. One told me to take pictures and come to their store (not helpful), 1 setup appointment but were no show. The other 3 wouldn't return calls or emails. First coast contacted me back within hours of my request and came out 2 days later. The owner was super friendly and explained everything to me and answered all my questions. Ended up setting up a weekly service to get pool under control. I may end up taking it over myself once I understand it more but they are so friendly I may just keep the weekly service. They have been here twice now, pool is clean, equipment is working and provide a email service report each week with photo of pool, chemical readings and summary of the chemicals added and services rendered. Highly recommend this growing company if you need pool service!!

Every subcontractor involved was equally courteous and respectful, making the process smooth and stress-free. The level of communication throughout the project was outstanding--clear, consistent, and reliable. Overall, Waterside Pools exceeded my expectations in every way. The service that Kori provided was outstanding. I'm not the most timely responder to my reviews but…read moreI want to be able to be fully confident on the work done over time. This job was done and I would not hire anyone else to do your pool. Kori is very fair in pricing and much lower than the bigger companies. However, he does not sacrifice any ounce of quality workmanship. He can be busy since it is Florida so patience is key, if you want things done correctly. More expensive, and quick, may not mean quality! Sorry for my lack in getting you this review sooner, it's been a long year as you can expect.

Just over a year after installation, the new pool coating is failing. Multiple pool companies have…read moreinspected it and identified that the surface was not properly prepared prior to application. There are numerous voids where the coating did not adhere to the pool shell. Those sections are now discolored, and calcium flakes are forming where air voids exist behind the coating. Best Florida Pool and Spas acid washed the surface earlier this year. This would have been an opportunity to identify the adhesion problem, but the issue was either not recognized or not communicated to me. Separately, Best Florida Pool and Spas installed a heater a few years ago that remains under warranty. The circuit board has failed. I have requested the purchase invoice needed to file a warranty claim, and they have not provided it. My recommendation to anyone considering this company: put a formal written contract in place before proceeding, so that you have clear documentation and legal recourse if problems arise.
