I wanted to submit feedback regarding who seems to be a recent new employee working on Tuesday…read moreevenings - a white male young adult in his early twenties with curly blonde hair This male employee at the Community Center at 375 Campus Drive on Tuesday evenings is extremely aggressive. As part of the Beginning Line Dance Adult Class (SU26-4219), our class's official schedule is from 7:15 PM - 8:15 PM PDT. Last week on Tuesday, July 21, this employee in question, barged into the class slightly past 8:00 PM PDT and started yelling at us that class is over, with no respect or regard for the teacher either. He then started moving chairs every which way to begin stacking, except as a full class of 35 people, and on many occasions, over 35, we are already jam packed in there, so this male employee swinging chairs around carelessly in an attempt to rush us out of there while we are in the middle of class is extremely reckless and dangerous. Especially since this class has multiple students who are elderly. Is it a value of the Arcadia Recreation Team to have employees be rude to students who largely are from the young children and elderly age group? Is there a lack of training to this team, such that employees think it is okay to yell and disrupt a class that students have paid for and has not reached the designated ending time set by the city?  I feel in danger when I see this male barge in, as he clearly has no respect and is extremely hot headed. If he is in such a rush to end his shift, perhaps he should not be assigned to this evening time slot.  My family and I have been students in multiple classes since 2017, and never has there been an employee who treated a class with this level of disrespect. Multiple other students in this Tuesday class were unhappy with his behavior and called him out, only for him to continue shouting at us as he ignored us and stormed out of the classroom. If these are the values shown in experiences at Arcadia Recreation Center, I will have to end my time taking classes here this season, even though we have attended classes since 2017 and have taken Line Dance Class for the last 3 years. This is extremely disappointing service and disturbing behavior for an employee of the City of Arcadia to have.

There seem to be pockets of homeless scattered throughout the city and for some reason they like hanging around in front of the bus stop near my work. Shopping carts, bags and boxes of shit in front and back of my workplace... sometimes I have people just taking a nap on the walkway, in the middle of the day. Really?! So far, the police have been cool about getting rid of them (at least temporarily) and dealing with them if and when they get crazy. More frequent patrols in the area to provide a stronger police presence would be great though.

You could view the trucks and the children could take photos inside the cab of the truck. It really was cool! They even had balloon animals for the children. My family and I went together, we were greeted by several people while handing out tickets to them. Then you proceed to the food line! We received some monster sized pancakes and sausage. All VERY delicious. Everyone sat inside the pristine garage where the trucks/engine are kept. Several of the Captains were present at the pancake breakfast. Which was really cool! So everyone could meet the Captains, the Engineers, the Firemen, and the Medics that work with them as well. If you ever get the chance to stop by at an event they are having, I highly suggest doing that! They are all very nice and welcoming.

We saw the fireman from unit 41 climb the steep trail later we saw search and rescue both teams like it was nothing. I should say now that I am terrified of heights and this was my first time on this trail with my boyfriend and our two dogs. (Not involved in the dog bite incident). On our way down I was paralyzed by fear. This is no joke at this elevation. I was panicking and crying but trying my best to forge on because I knew if I didn't keep going I would be stuck there for hours. We see a helicopter leave and a minute later we see them decending behind us. We try to let them pass and they ask me if im okay. I tell them I'm scared but I'm ok physically. They offer to walk down next to me and I grab the chance without hesitation. They took their time walking next to me and making me feel at ease. I was in full panic and anxiety attack mode but with the help of my amazing bf who never left my side and these dedicated and compassionate men who took time out of their day we made it down the trail safe. I have the utmost respect and gratitude beyond measure for their help in immediately creating a shield of the edge and blocking my view of the steep drop down. Advising me on how to properly manage the terrain and calming me down with small jokes along the way. Their patience is outmatched and the call was above and beyond their duty. I cant say I will ever hike that trail again but I have a newfound appreciation for the men and women of service who are dedicated diligent kind compassionate and empathetic. The cars and everything inside them were gone. The officers at the desk were professional, attentive, and took the situation seriously from the start. A special thank you to Officer Huerto and Detective Hopkins for their professionalism and for making it clear this is being treated as what it is: grand theft auto. I'm not interested in making an insurance claim -- I want the people responsible for this kind of operation identified and prosecuted so it doesn't happen to anyone else. From my experience, the team at Wilshire Division is doing exactly what the public hopes for: taking crime seriously and working to hold the criminals accountable. Thank you to everyone there.
