Once we actually saw her furniture we were at once intrigued and interested in investigating Winchendon Furniture for ourselves. So, on Friday afternoon we went. The company is housed in two mill buildings that are separated by a 300' space. Two floors per building. The first building has living room, dining room and home office furniture. The second building has an "outlet" section with deeply discounted items and then another area with dining room and living room pieces. Customer service is still practiced here with their "award-winning staff" listening to what customers are interested in then pointing them in the right direction. Uncertain what style or fabric or even hardware on that buffet or console table or chair? No worries, the staff will take time, because you are what keeps them going, and answer your questions. Timing is everything and wanting to take advantage of the Massachusetts "tax holiday" we purchased a new dining room - table, chairs, buffet and hutch. That will be the subject of a future review. Janet, the salesperson who assisted on us was delightful to work with genuinely pleasant and helpful. Most of the furniture is MADE IN AMERICA!!! That sold us.

He checked in when we got there and said to give him a shout if we needed anything, then went about his business. We were able to amble and not feel rushed or badgered into buying and it was just an overall nice experience. We took some pictures and measurements and he just let us do our thing - it was such a good experience. Warning - seriously consider if you want to buy furniture from them. I bought a dining set of…read more$2500 from them about 6 years ago and now the chairs are look like these after normal use. The problem started within 6 months after the purchase - paint of one chair slightly peeled off. We are not sophisticated in furniture and thought it is because we did not maintain it well by putting on oil regularly. With the time passing by, all chairs are no longer presentable so we decide to ask a repair shop for a quote. Surprisingly, we were informed that the chairs are not properly painted (or they use the wrong paint/finish). We contacted Saloom immediately and the owner acknowledged that the finish is not properly done. However, after knowing that the chairs were sold 6 years ago, they refused to provide any repair services as they only provide 1 year warranty. We are extremely disappointed as we feel we would be better off buying a cheap set of 400 dollars from any furniture store. Do not hope to keep any furniture from Saloom in good condition given that how they treat their furniture and their customers.

Nearly $5000 for a pair of Stressless leather chairs for my elderly 85 year old parents. Two months…read morein, the leather on one is stretched out and has lost its shape (parents are 160 and 120 pounds). The chairs also show difference in color. Chair that hasn't lost its shape is a brighter more vibrant blue much more pronounced in person. I understand that leather is a natural product, but these extremes are too much in nine weeks, and at almost $2500 each on sale they should look great for years to come. At Circle Furniture, Lisa at Customer Service not willing to do anything based on PHOTOS but refuses to come see the chairs in person. Maybe provide a return with a 40% restocking fee. My parents don't want to return the chairs. They have bought stressless chairs for years and have never experienced this issue. The chairs have been in the house for exactly 9 weeks. The least they could do is come out and inspect the chairs but Circle Furniture not willing. I would highly recommend going elsewhere. Customer service is stunningly lacking.
