Not sure why I haven't reviewed Laced With Charm yet as I've have been going for years. This is a surprisingly nice nail salon in Miami Springs. They have moved to a new location that is even closer to my home. While they do take walk-ins, they have an excellent website that is incredibly easy to use. With my crazy schedule, it is so nice to be able to make an appointment the day I have an opening. Yes, the predominant language is Spanish, but I seem to manage fine, using translation apps if there is a need. The shop is impeccably clean. The owner has done a brilliant job of updating and changing over time, keeping the space fresh and inviting. Service is generally excellent, though on occasions some nail techs can be a touch aloof. This is fine, so long as they continue to deliver great work. So, I highly recommend for anyone in the Springs area. A lovely small business that delivers excellent service. read more

Excessively overpriced! I have been caring for my nails for over 40 years. The manicurist proceeded to do as she pleased and blamed me for not being more vocal about my preferences. I am familiar with what a Russian manicure entails, and that is not the service I received! The gel applied to my nails ended up warped and distorted, necessitating a return visit to have them redone according to my specifications. The manicurist contacted the owner to inform her of the situation but never allowed me the opportunity to speak with the owner. I should have been given the chance to communicate with the owner to explain what truly occurred. The manicurist excessively overdrilled and shortened my nails. I certainly do not recommend this overpriced establishment!!!! read more

This is my neighborhood nail salon and I go here when I cant make it my regular nail lady bc shes booked or I am short on time. It is very convenient for me as it is less than five minutes away. They have a large selection of OPI colors and different nail services and the staff has always been nice. They are also pretty quick so its perfect if you are short on time. A gel mani and regular pedicure takes about 1 hr 15 minutes with them. I have never had any complaints and I always feel like my nails come out nice and presentable. That being said are they the best nails I've ever had, they're not, but it works and compared to other places they have pretty good pricing so go check them out! read more

YOUR TECH asked for me to call you and request additional time and no, it's not standard for you to charge for gel removal when your salon put the gel on my nails. Moving to the Miami springs community has be searching for a go to place for many of my needs, including a nail place. I needed a gel polish change only. I was able to get an appointment on the same day. This establishment was small. As soon as you walk in your hot with the smell of the nail chemicals. It is very charming, though. I had an appointment with a lady that did not speak English. I was a bit taken aback but not a deal breaker. I will say that she was a bit rough with the way she handled my hands and used the nail file over my cuticles. The cost in total was $28. I believe they charge $6 for gel removal. The overall job was okay, but not great. I would give them another try for a full mani pedi. read more

Pro: They saw me as a walk-in nail appointment, I was glad they were able to squeeze me in. It's been over a week since I had my dip manicure and the nails are still intact, and I continue to receive compliments. Cons: my one concern was that the nail tools were not properly sanitized or sterilized, the manicurist only spray them with alcohol, immediately wiped them down, and placed them in the "sanitized" baggie. They were not submerged for a long period of time, or boiled. It definitely left me uneasy. Also the towel that she used as a placemat to do my nails, was the same one as the person before me. They need to retrain their team, as a health care professional, I really pay attention to sanitation. 4 stars because the service and work were great and they can correct their sanitation practices. read more

It is unfortunate that this place did not work out. They have a couple of techs that are pretty good. If you don't already know, not all techs are created equal. A lot of them cut cuticles too deep and make you bleed. Not acceptable and not hygienic. I book techs that are careful not to cut me. In the 20 years that I have been doing my nails, I have never been cancelled when arriving to/at an appointment, I have always been offered the courtesy of a phone call in advance. My appointment has been cancelled twice with Kay at Laced with Charm upon arrival. We all have personal things that come up, that fact is not lost on me. But when you arrive to your 6 p.m. appointment after rushing out of work and sitting in traffic, only to be told (by the owner) that your tech will not do you because she needs to leave on a flight - the following day. Then, you sit next the her while your tech does someone else's manicure - I mean, c'mon. The other woman's service was completed 10 minutes before mine. She got to leave 10 minutes earlier and they lost a couple of clients for good. My replacement manicurist cut me and left a raspberry on my foot from the pumice. I am not a stickler, I do not enjoy having to write this review. But I cannot tell you how uncomfortable and disrespected I felt at the moment- not relaxing or enjoyable in any way. I was finally able to get a hold of the owner today and she does not think they did anything wrong. Plus, the pedicure chairs were set up uncomfortably because your feet go in a pale and the nail tech has to bring your feet farther out then the chairs are placed to work Update: dip nails broke off on Thursday. I hate to be a negative person. So, I do not write this review lightly...I was just so upset by the lack of customer service today. I arrived 10 minutes late to my set appointment for a mani/pedi after being stuck in horrible traffic leaving work. The salon had no other customers when I arrived and my manicurist Aris, was sitting by the front entrance. She asked for my name and then replied "Yes your appointment is with me but, well your late so you can only have one service completed" I wonder how a business can survive with employees who have attitudes like that? I canceled both services as, I would prefer to be treated in a more accommodating fashion. And not dismissed for being 10 minutes late. I made my appointment using their online system which was convenient. I arrived 25 minutes prior to my appointment, hoping to do my eyebrows too but it seemed busy so I didn't bother asking, but was eventually informed that the nail tech was running behind. Let me begin by saying that when I walked in, no one greeted me and I stood there wondering if I should sit or go to the counter (no one at the counter). I asked one of the nail techs working on someone else and she told me to pick a color in the meantime. Later on, the person behind the counter appeared and told me about my nail tech running behind 20 minutes. I said okay, because in reality I was early. However, 15 minutes after my appointment time I had to walk out because no one bothered to update me or anything. I made an appointment next door while waiting and thankfully I was able to get what I needed. This was my second time here. I would not suggest getting your eyebrows tinted here if you're blonde. They had no idea how to do it. I came out with BLACK eyebrows. I initially didn't leave a review because I figured they aren't use to women with blonde hair. I recently went there for my nails. It was a great atmosphere. The lady who did my pedicure was wonderful and nice. The same day I also got gel done but by a different lady. My gel chipped the day after! I got them done for an event and I wasn't able to go back in to demand a refund. The worst part is I had awful nails for the event! I have NEVER heard of gel chipping and falling off a day after. Short story: Next time I'm having a nail "emergency," I will do it myself. Long story: I had old gel on and I attempted (poorly) to remove it myself. In retrospect, I should have waited until the next day and gone back to my favorite nail place and let them do it for me. Both places cost the same, but one is by far worth it. I was lucky enough to get an appointment within the hour. My nails were long and full of glue from the gel so there was a sense of urgency to get them fixed. Instead of a soak off, my technician buzzed off the glue with an electric buffer used on acrylic nails. YIKES!! Cuticle work and nail shaping was subpar. The pedicure consisted of me sitting at the end of a chair, pressing my foot into a bucket containing a half inch of room temperature water. Cuticles were left untouched and the paint was quickly slapped on to my nails. The "massage" chair that I used made an unpleasant vibrating sensation. It felt weird. My technician's phone went off dozens of times. I'm sorry, but that's not professional and it's slightly irritating when you're going for what is meant to be a relaxing service. The end product is okay, at best. I'm sorry to leave this review, but I know that $35 is enough to get a fully functional spa pedicure and a nice manicure in a very relaxing environment. Perhaps 60 minutes is slightly rushed? Pros: this place is a stylish and an aesthetically pleasing boutique offering cute fashion pieces. It's refreshing to walk into an establishment and be greeted with a smile , that's what you will always get from the receptionist / manger Lauren . She goes beyond her duties to make sure your comfortable , asking you if you would like something to drink , helping you pick out a color , scheduling your next appointment . She is always on top of everything. Costumers , cleanliness and knowledgeable of her job . My other reason is Kay. Cute salon and boutique following COVID-19 safety measures. They have mani/pedi specials on Wednesdays and an easy to use online appointment system. I had been here a couple of years back and the nail tech I used to use was no longer there. The new tech was a bit rough. She kept commenting on how short my nails were. There's a friggin' pandemic, social injustice, job insecurity...and you're going to complain that my nails are too short? YES! I bit them all off in an anxious rage. I agreed with her, "Yes, they're short". She continues, "It's hard to work with these nails. Why do you have them so short?" Because I bite my nails like a child, lady. Make me confront all my insecurities with you. That's what I love to make small talk about. "They're not going to come out right because they're so short." As another Yelper stated, they just spray the tools with alcohol and put them in a sanitized bag after use. I wanted to get out of there so fast. When I got home I noticed that my feet were rough and there was some raw skin from where she had used the foot file. 4 days later and one gel nail has already chipped. I had a great experience here years prior, but this experience was disheartening. I give the 3 stars because they are taking COVID safety measures seriously and have plexiglass dividers and distance between tables. read more

I am not one to leave reviews but I have never had such a horrible experience at a nail salon before so I thought I'd share my experience. I saw on Instagram that LWC had availabilities today so I gave them a call and asked for an appointment for sculpted nails and a regular pedicure. The woman I spoke to said that the tech she had available only knew how to do dip WITH TIPS and explained that this technique is actually healthier for the nail than the sculpted nails. I agreed and was scheduled to go in at 2:15. FIve minutes after speaking with her I received a text from them asking what services I was having done and I responded I already made the appointment. The person texting me responded that there was an issue with the system and that they weren't able to make the appointment so I responded with the services I was having done and everything was supposedly good to go. A couple minutes later I received a phone call from them saying that I would have to be with one technician at 1:30 for pedicure and another technician at 2 for the dip and tips because the tech I was supposed to be with initially for both services didn't have time. I said that wasn't a problem and got ready to go. Upon arriving I was told I would be doing hands first (the order didn't matter to me of course) so we got started. Once she started with my nails I noticed she didn't have tips prepared and I told her I had requested tips. She then said she didn't have time to do tips and pulled out an iPad with the appointment that had me listed for "dip with no tips" even though I specifically requested tips. She didn't budge at all so it didn't seem like I had an option. I went ahead and did it without tips. The entire experience was PATHETIC. She seemed like a factory worker rushing through everything, constantly checking her watch, and then filing the side of my nail/skin down until I bled. I was on edge the entire time because EVERYTHING WAS RUSHED. I tried to start some sort of conversation but she was completely un-interested in anything I had to say and was only worried about finishing my nails to move on to the next victim. After finishing with the first nail tech, I walked over to the tech that would do my pedicure. She soaked my feet and I told her that I had gel on some of my toes (only 5 toes had gel, the rest were bare). She started to freak out saying "no no no! No me va dar tiempo no tengo tiempo." She said she had to pick up her kid at 2:30 and we started at 2:30 (horrible scheduling). I explained I had already had a horrible experience and that everything had been rushed and she apologized because she wouldn't be able to do my pedicure. She then called someone else and they tried finding another day to come back but this was my only day off. I paid $50 for dip (very over priced for the horrible service I received) and left without my pedicure or nail tips. Upon arriving home I get a text that I can go back for my pedicure because someone canceled... HA it was funny at this point. I don't know how they have such amazing reviews but this confusion and poor scheduling really left me stressed out due to all the rushing, left me with a bleeding finger, no pedicure, and no nail tips. Worst mani-pedi I have ever had. The place was very dirty from the overflowing trash cans to the stained used towels. The water used for the pedicure did not even reach my toes and it was cold. The nail file and feet scraper were not clean. I left with rough feet and not well polished nails. I was in from out of town and had probably one of the worst experiences I've ever had with regard to my nails. Illeyis (?sp) filed my nails more narrow than my nail bed, so there is a sharp angle now that my nails are growing out. I have been coming to LWC since November 2016 after a horrible experience at a nail salon where I decided to put on acrylics. Two days after getting acrylics I started to experience bubbles and lifting I followed LWC on IG and decided to give them a try. LWC uses the BEST products for acrylic nails and natural nails. I have gone 3 weeks without a refill and my nails still look great. Raisa treats me so amazing and I must say that every time I have called to make an appointment they really to work with my timing and pencil me in sometimes on the same day. They are all very attentive and the atmosphere is very nice. I love seeing how much they have grown and look forward to getting my nails done here every time! read more
