There is SO MUCH in this store that is NOT comics that it was amusing to me. Yes, they have your comics, but they also they have a lot of adjunct stuff. Do you collect statues? They have them. Oh, and the owner also let me go in the back to hunt down a few Golden Age comics. And finally, the Thing is my favorite superhero, so the name Yancy Street just strikes home for me. CoC have a good selection of new and used comics as well as figurines, cards, books, and more. There were also a few tables set up where a number of people were playing games (maybe D&D but I'm not sure). I perused the new and used issues and didn't find any of the specific issues I was looking for so I ended up purchasing two Comic Book Grab Packs for $7.99 each. Each package includes 10 comics and I wanted to get something. They also have a stamp card in which you get a stamp for every $10 spent and once you collect 10, you get $10 off your next purchase.

The staff was personable, informed, and engaged. The store was packed with collectibles, comics, back issues, toys, just what you expect from a shop. In the time I spent there shopping three regular customers came in and we ended up in exactly the kind of nerd out discussion you would expect from the name. I also found something I've been looking for for two years! Great staff, great selection, great customers, great store.

He was so knowledgeable and patient with us both, since neither of us know anything about vintage comic books. We both learned a tremendous amount today from Dennis and are so incredibly grateful for having someone like him in our community. His store is amazing and if you haven't been there yet for comics or collectibles, you want to go by and check it out! Big store with tons of selections…read more I was nervous from pictures that this would be all comic books. I was a little relieved when we pulled up and there was a sign that included toys. We were here on a very specific mission, one son was looking for ghostbusters toys and the other was looking for pokemon cards. One of the employees told us that they get the most calls from people looking for pokemon cards. So I don't bury the lead, they don't have just packs of pokemon cards, but they do have a set that includes multiple packs for $60. We ended up getting that for my older son and I've been giving him a pack every couple of days. I was little nervous about our mission to find ghostbuster stuff. There were tons of star wars stuff and a lot of funko figurines. We did find ghostbuster funko figures, but that wasn't really what we were looking for. Eventually after walking around a bit, we did find three small ghostbuster items. I think they're meant to be kept on a desk, but my son has been playing with them like they're toys. I haven't seen ghostbusters so I'm not going to describe this well, but they are items to track and then trap ghosts. He was ecstatic that we found them, so mission accomplished. If you're looking for comic books then this is heaven. If you're looking for specific toys, it may be hit or miss, but for us it was a hit. This is definitely a place worth checking out.
