This is a great place to shop for clothes and I'm sad that I'm moving away because I doubt I'll find another place like it. The prices are very good, think $3-$5 on the low end and and $10-15 on the high end, but of course it depends on the brand and whatnot. I haven't consigned much here but they have taken some of my pieces, and I made a few bucks (though I didn't give expensive brands). I wouldn't count on making much money from consigning but it's nice for a bit of store credit. The clothing selection is well curated for the price; it's not as trendy as somewhere like Buffalo Exchange, but it's much better than Goodwill. Both locations are great but this one has a better shoe selection in my experience. Also, I will never understand the mentality of leaving a bad review because a consignment shop did not accept your clothes - nobody is obligated to buy your stuff. Get out of here with that sense of entitlement. read more

Love the new James St. store, super convenient with one stop shopping!

I was dropping off a couple of bags at the new James street location and while we were waiting we noticed one of the workers going through some bags and imagine my surprise when we saw her remove a pair of sunglasses from one of the bags and drop it in her own purse. Wow now I know why we never see money on our accounts because it appears first dibs go to the workers and if any thing is left it gets consigned. I have heard so many complaints from other customers about never seeing money on their accounts but no items left on the floor. read more

I was passing by the store and saw that the open sign was on, I turned around and drove in, parked, and was about to walk in when a girl (talking on her cellphone) told me they're closed. Do Not Consign Here! I read the reviews about people suspecting they make money in the clothes they "donate" but trusted them anyways. FOUR big white garbage bags full of nice clothes and shoes. I did the Marie Kindo, keeping only what sparks joy, walked in there thinking I'll have all kinds if credit to play with later. Lole fleece jacket, sole society tan wedges with peep toe, Nine West black wedges, I'd worn both maybe 5 times, Jambu clog wedges, like I'm not deluded about what makes clothes nice. So much more. They did not "take" ONE thing!! They claim to have donated it all bc it was "worn". I've seen the second hand old navy crap they have on their racks. I hands down believe them to be thieves who make their money on suckers like me (and hopefully not you) who trust them to be honest and reasonable and good willed with what they truly can't sell. I will never shop or donate there again and can't un-recommend them enough. Thousands of dollars in clothes down the drain. If that was truth they should have called me. Willing to donate what they can't sell is not consent to give away ALL of every last piece of it. I am livid and just sick about it. read more

I absolutely love this place and I am sad that I moved away. This place took so much stress off my plate. While packing to move, I had a lot of stuff to get rid of and I took it ALL to Labels. They took everything in and I opted for them to donate whatever they wouldn't take (which wasn't much). I literally just dropped my stuff off and didn't have to worry about it. Then got a surprise check in the mail. The staff and owner are very friendly and helpful. They have a wide variety of everything for a great price; clothing, shoes, home decor, home appliances, furniture, purses and seasonal items. This is a very popular store and your items will get sold at a good rate. Remember this is a consignment store so you are technically paying for them to sell it for you. You aren't going to get the full price of what your item is worth. But, in my opinion is a great deal to not have to worry about it. read more

Visited the new location on Northwest this past week and was quite disappointed. I was frustrated right from the start with the parking lot. Not nearly enough spots and space for the traffic of people that will frequent the store. I think the Bakerview location was much better. I was also disappointed with the product displays; they really need to hire someone to stage the items better. It resembles a smaller version of Value Village. I thought they were going to be picky when accepting household items, but I didn't see anything that looked like current décor styles. All in all not a great first time visit. I will not return and will stick with the Ellis Street location. read more

Up front Disclaimer: Clothing items I brought in for consignment were not accepted. While browsing the store, I found the styles at the James street location more "hippie" and "farm girl" than anything I would call casual attire. The great thing about Bellingham is that no matter what you're doing, casual will do fine. But their motto of "Cute, Current, and Clean" does not account for the range of style that means. The buyer was wearing tattered jeans and a plaid cowboy button down shirt with shiny buttons so I should have probably realized I was in the wrong place for my more urban casual style. read more

Labels, a good idea...perhaps. Labels was a great store, one of the first of its kind in Bellingham for quite some time. It seems though that when the new store opened up it became more like a Goodwill than a "classy womens' consignment shop". For example, last time I stopped in (after waiting for what seemed like forever for a parking spot) there were two sets of golf clubs sitting outside the front door for sale! Why are they accepting this? Also on that note is the fact that you can hardly manuver throughout the store due to the fact that it is over filled. On this site, they are listed as a wheelchair friendly establishment; I assure you, this is only possible if the individual has a disorder that limits them to a unicycle. They opened up this new store not even a year ago and it's already too small for the amount of merchandise that they have. I wouldn't trust them to keep track of the items that I brought in and so I don't even consign anymore. The staff is friendly enough, for the most part. I just know that I have heard a lot of negativity about other employees, consigners, and the general public in the conversations amongst employees; it kind of makes me wonder if I am one of the lucky shoppers that gets gossiped about when I leave. I cannot be dishonest, I HAVE had good experiences in this store, however, in light of how inconvenient it has become to shop here, I find myself more often in the other consignment stores nearby. read more

I am going to go broke bc of Labels. They have the best stuff for great prices, and I never feel guilty for shopping bc its such a good deal! Staff is friendly and stores are clean w quality products. I've gotten uber cute clothes there w tags still on them for a 1/4 of the price. I've also sold stuff there so I can make room for the things I find there ;) definitely recommend! Gotten some great stuff at both locations but the NW location seems to have a better selection. read more

I used to LOVE this place. But lately, each experience gets worse. I went to the Northwest store yesterday. The place is SO crammed with stuff, it's like being in a hoarder's house. One rack was pushed up against the wall so all the size mediums were completely inaccessible. I asked about a maternity section and the gal told me they don't have one - they take maternity stuff, but they just mix it in with everything else - how convenient! /The lighting in the dressing rooms is terrible! It creates a shadow/silhouette kind of effect that makes it really hard to see yourself in the mirror. Also, no lock on the bathroom door = LAME. read more

As a seller I am completely unhappy with my most recent experiences...my last being the worst. I brought in a large garbage bag with a combination of nice clothing with no defects, things purchased from Labels with the Labels tags still on, new items with store tags (I hate trying on clothes in stores) and new, unworn shoes. I also had a medium-sized bag with new, sealed make-up and toiletries. My cut was $3.00 for the whole thing. When I questioned this a month later, I was told that I had chosen to donate what was not taken. I know that my tax write-off would be more than $3 for this particular situation. This was the last time I will ever consign with Labels. I'd rather donate everything than go to this trouble. read more

Love labels! I come here once every few months to consign some clothes & pick out new ones. This location has a better selection than the one near Trader Joe's usually! They take good quality brand name items that are gently worn and give them a second life for a reasonable price! The ladies are generally very helpful and friendly too! Only bummer is they don't sell out of their display windows! read more

I have been to Labels on Bakerview Rd. many times. The parking lot is too small and difficult to navigate. The store is very cluttered and disorganized compared to other consignment stores in Bellingham. Overall I have been dissappointed with the quality of the clothing. I have found items stained, ripped and with moth holes. read more

I visited the new store last week. The store was well staffed, the staff was really kind and informative and encouraged me to consign. I like the fact they are bringing in some home decor, it's a nice balance. The prices were very good and I would return. I was in both stores. They are both messy, unorganized, it's hard to find anything. Most of the stuff looks like stuff you find at a yard sale. I will not recommend Labels to anyone. read more
