The views and grounds were incredible, but what I wanted to focus on was the Service. It more than made up for the food! We have traveled all over and eat out quite a bit (too often), and this place has the best staff we have had the pleasure of dining with. We were greeted by Diane, and Patti was our server. Both were attentive, friendly, and helpful. Diane, the hostess, greeted us with the biggest smile and was so welcoming. She walked us to our seats and even offered to move our table so we could have the best view. We closed the place down, and we decided last minute to get a gift card for friends we knew would love the experience. She restarted the POS system to do this for us, even though it was late, she could have asked us to come back another day. Patti was so helpful with food and drink selections. She checked on us often but was not intrusive. Even the younger staff moving tables at the end of the night smiled a lot and made conversation with us. There was an acoustic guitarist playing in the background at just the perfect volume. It enhanced the experience. Some places we've been the music has been obnoxiously loud. Clearly their focus is on top-notch service and they seem to enjoy working together. We were so impressed and look forward to going back.

The whole event was organized very well, Food was fantastic, from the appetizers to the main course. When I saw no knife except a butter knife on the table when the filet minion came, I was a little worried, but it was so tender it essentially cut like butter. A big shout out to the wait staff and the bartenders, they were best. Overall a fantastic place experience at a wonderful place.

We really appreciated her coordinating with my family in the days leading up to the event to organize the decor, and being so on top of everything. When we first toured the venue in the fall we immediately loved the barn, but what really sealed the deal for us was Briana's calm, collected demeanor, professional communication, and down-to-earth advice that demonstrated her deep understanding of what works in the space and what doesn't--that made us trust her right away. In the past few years they have upgraded the ballroom and the entry, and it came out beautifully. However, always a constant is their personal service, presentation, and the food is excellent! In addition, their AV and sound system are excellent! (Believe me, this matters)! I have hosted large groups (up to 195) and small groups under 50. I have never been disappointed. We had our wedding her 9/10/22 and could not be happier. Although my original coordinator was on…read morematernity leave and I was not given advance notice of this, Scott and Ann stepped up to the plate and truly helped my vision come to life. We had the bridal suite in the morning with complimentary breakfast and my make up and hair stylists were impressed with how much space and natural light we had. Our ceremony space outside was beautiful and Scott and Ann ensured we started relatively on time. We were given two golf carts to go around and take photos whereever we pleased on the beautiful grounds. Many people have told us how delicious the food at the cocktail hour was and once we finished photos, we were given our own sampler platter and a drink to great us. There was one snafu with an outside bakery never delivering our cake, but Ann figured it out with the help of my bridesmaids and we still had a beautiful cake to cut. Dinner was delicious, cookies were wonderful, and the pizzas at the end were definitely appreciated. The next morning all my decorations were packaged and ready for pick up. I am so so thankful for Nashua Country Club for helping me have the wedding of my dreams!

It is also accessible to anyone who has trouble walking stairs or who needs a wheelchair. Most importantly, I am so impressed by and thankful for the efficiency, friendliness, patience, and kindness of Nik and the rest of the staff. They made sure that everything looked beautiful and that everyone had what they needed. Time for a story, everybody…read more I asked a smart, beautiful, funny Yelper to marry me and she said yes. It was an extremely exciting day, and laughter and tears abounded. That exciting day turned into an exciting week, full of phone calls and picture taking and ring flaunting. After that first week, though, the reality set in that we actually needed to hunker down and plan a wedding. Fairies don't magically appear and plan it for you, and there's a lot of legwork to be done to get a giant party off the ground. The initial step was finding the absolute perfect venue. Chester's at Bell Tower Square was the perfect venue. We knew immediately and cut a check on the spot, and then felt a little bad that we would miss out on the joys and heartache of traveling around New England for two months looking for the perfect venue. Isn't that what wedding planning is all about? Stressing out over where to have it and what money to put down and all that? To find the place we knew we'd be getting married in after the first weekend just shouldn't be. Yet, apparently, it was. How could we go anywhere else? With nearly 5,000 square feet of exposed brick, natural light and hardwood floors, where else could we find that would give us the hip industrial vibe we were looking for? How could we say no to the gorgeous courtyard, or the attached art gallery? I'm not sure I'd have been able to live with myself if I walked away from a venue that I could have access to for the Friday and the Saturday of my weekend weekend. After spending an hour with the event coordinator (Elizabeth), my fiance and I had no choice but to call off our search after a grand total of seven days of searching. If you are getting married and want to have it in a huge, unique, gorgeous, historic space, look at Chester's last. If not, your venue search is going to be very, very fast.

It is surprising to me to see all the positive reviews for this venue and the event coordinator…read more Perhaps we caught them on an "off" two days, but I have never witnessed the lack of professionalism we received as a wedding party-- ever, in my life. From the rehearsal dinner to the event itself, we were treated with such arrogance and hostility that I was livid by the end of the night, and it wasn't even my wedding. From the beginning the whole thing was...wrong. We were not lined up in proper order for the processional, but when we pointed it out it was ignored. We were told it would be corrected by the ceremony, but it wasn't. We went out backwards and were not matched up with our proper partners. The lights were not dimmed for the ceremony. We asked that the lights be dimmed but were told no, because the photographer needed to be able to see us (which of course is not true). They were not dimmed until during the meal, and only because another bridesmaid had to demand it. We were told we had to have the lights on all the way so that the waitstaff could get us our food-- even though it was buffet- styled. The seating was completely ignored-- guests were told to sit where ever they wanted, resulting in completely useless place cards and seating arrangements. Every time someone mentioned anything that was amiss-- from the bartender being completely rude to the timing of the ceremony, which was almost an hour off-- we were spoken down to like children. The night was saved only by the fact that we actually knew what we were doing as a wedding party, dealt with the problems ourselves and waited until the dancing started, which was when any hand the event coordinator had in organizing anything was complete. I feel badly, because my friend was completely stressed during one of the happiest events of her life. I would never book an event with Elizabeth or at Chester's Bell Tower. Of course every ceremony has its flaws, but when no one seems to care, or worse-- can not admit they're wrong and try to fix what isn't working-- it is time to re-evaluate your career choices.
