horrible landscaping team very rude. They cussed us out for no reason other than to ruin the experience. The worst was an older guy.

For the Par 3 course: Fun and challenging topography, some longer holes, kind of offbeat atmosphere. The problem is that the holes are so close together, that the players on the previous hole tee off heading in the precise location where you're teeing off on the next hole, so, you will have other players' balls actually landing *very close to or on* you. Also, it is located at a campground, for real, where you have to walk past trailers and campers while golfing, which lends its own atmosphere, but for me, made it different and fun. Not too expensive at $15/pp walking, for non-campers. For the money, there are better laid out courses in the area, (like Apple Hill for one), though, that don't have all of that distraction of other balls falling on you, lol. I would not even give them an 8th of a star. We called on a Wednesday night, 6/28 at approximately 7pm and spoke to "LAURIE". We explained that we were in between apartments and wanted to camp for two weeks while we waited. We explained that there were 2 adults, 2 dogs. Both of us work full time and that the dogs would only be onsite when we were there. We arrived on the day and time that "LAURIE" told us to, Friday, 6/30. 11am. The woman in the booth at the front office, I feel, discriminated against us and her words specifically were "HELL NO". I asked her to call "LAURIE" to discuss this. After about 15 seconds on the phone, the woman reentered the booth and confirmed that "LAURIE" also said "HELL NO". According to "LAURIE", we told her one person, one dog which was absolutely untrue. We have no idea what difference it makes. What we do know is we will be sure to spread far and wide that these people, are rude, snotty and borderline racist. read more

I love this course. I've played lots of expensive members only courses that were just a bit better quality than here. The greens are a bit slow, but it's a challenging course for sure. They don't put a heck of a lot of money into the cart paths or fountains or anything. the sand traps might as well be leech field sand, but hey, don't hit into the Beach and you're good. The fairways and greens are well maintained. They aren't glassy cut smooth like country clubs but it's like 12-15 bucks depending on time and day. Don't play the par 3 unless it's free or twilight, that's not worth it AT ALL. Very poorly maintained to the point that they shouldn't even bother having it. Also some of the "course wardens" are old jackasses who are on power trips and like to give people a hard time, especially younger people. But it's a slower, hidden gem, kinda place. You rarely have to wait around for slower golfers, or groups, there's rarely leagues or tourneys to be stuck behind. And there are gas golf carts (except for after 4, twilight hours) which are fun to go around in, and beer cart girls in summer. Better than Kingston Fairways for the price. read more

This place is perfect to go if you are just starting out - it is cheap. As for the course, it is TIGHT and in BAD shape. There is virtually no maintenance of the course on the front nine, the back is definitely better, but still rough. I played here when I first started, and liked that no one was on the course, but now, I realize how bad it is compared to other courses. Then again, you're only paying like 15 to play................... If there are storms nearby, stay away from the back nine, you'll have about a 1/2 mile run back to your car surrounded by lightning. read more

Golf course was in beautiful condition, but the camp ground looked like it needed a little work

I've been looking for reasonably priced golf in NH for a years, now, and have had to sacrifice heavily in quality courses to save a few dollars. For a golf course that is also an RV park, and also as affordable as any other in the area, I expected what I'd seen at other inexpensive courses in southeast NH: dandelions and other weeds everywhere, patchy roughs and half-dead greens. That said, this course was fantastically maintained. Fairways were short, greens were green, which is often an issue in northern New England. Something to be aware of is how thin many of the holes are; fairways are wide enough, but there is hardly any rough between them and dense forest. If you tend to slice or hook extensively you will probably lose a few golf balls out there. The only negative experience of the day was that the guy mowing the tee boxes and greens seemed to be following us around. Despite an empty course, he always seemed to be on the hole we were walking to or from, and never shut off his machine. A small price to pay, though. We will be back. read more

So this is for the campground only--we did not play golf. It's ok. We had sites right along the golf course near the pro shop and I thought it would feel like we were on display or get annoyed with the golfers but the weather was bad one day so it kept things quiet. As it turned out, the site didn't bother me. There is only one shower building and that was a ways for a pregnant girl to waddle. That did bother me. The showers each had their own drain but did not drain well, causing my soap and body junk to overflow into the stall next to me. That would have bothered me had anyone else been showering at that time. The stalls reminded me of a summer camp shower--partitions between each shower went from knees to a little over head, one curtain and no bench. I did have lots of space though since the stall was deep. My baby belly did not brush up against any cold walls or curtains. The bathroom at the pro shop was pretty camp-y with lots of bugs and spiders. If you're the kind of person who likes well manicured seasonal sites with all the bells and whistles, this is not the place for you. There is no pool and there don't seem to be any rules in regard to seasonal trailer/site upkeep. It was a mixed bag--some really nice, well maintained sites and then some that were falling apart or neglected. I did see a sad basketball court that needed some tlc and a nicely cared for pickle ball court. I did enjoy the beach area. The pond is pretty clean in the swimming area and there was plenty of sand, with a grassy area and picnic tables. The people who run it are very nice and they do have activities to keep kids and adults busy. There is a playground (no baby swings) and a huge metal slide, dogs are welcome, the site with hookups was cheap, showers were free, and overall I enjoyed my time. read more

I went here the first time I went golfing. The course is quite narrow compared to other courses around. The course is not in the best shape, but it is not terrible. However, the employees of the golf course are very rude and are not helpful. As it was my first time golfing with my friends, we did not play well. We spent quite a bit of time in the woods searching for balls that we hit in there. We were fine with this until a security man came up to us and brought us back to the pro shop telling us that we were taking too long. We had paid for 18 holes of golf, and we had only finished 10 holes. The employees of the place tried to scam us into paying an extra 20 dollars after we had already paid for 18 holes of golf. Absolutely ridiculous. I would not go here to golf. read more

We were booked at Hidden Valley for Labor Day weekend, from Friday to Monday. We left today (Sunday morning), however, because the condition of the bathrooms were unacceptable. We spoke to someone at the office 3 times on Saturday. After the third time, we could tell that someone went in and made a feeble attempt at removing the first layer of filth. In spite of their efforts, the sink and counter were still covered in dirt and grime, the men's toilet still had dried excrement under the lid and inside the bowl, and the floor was dirty. My husband witnessed someone mopping the floors with a dirty mop and no water. The mop buckets were filled with black water. You can't clean a floor with a dirty mop! What a disappointment this campground was! Your website, though it looks professional does not accurately portray what it is really like at Hidden Valley. You advertise clean restrooms, when in fact, they are despicable. I am requesting a refund for our third night, since we went home a day early. We will never, ever visit your campground again, nor will we recommend it to our friends. We are so disappointed. read more
