Great, cheap spot. I've only been for manicures, but they always fit me in and for $15 it's worth it. Nothing fancy, not a spa experience, but a good basic manicure.

Mimi is the besttt! My gel manicure last all month! I've been a loyal costumer for over a year now! Best nail spot in the heights!

Just had a great manicure here with Mimi! I went to their old location and have been to their new location once since January. It's really beautiful, sunlit and clean. I'm pleased to say they are up to par with Covid sanitation- they use disposable grooming items, pedicure bowl liners and have plexiglass dividers between the closely seated manicure seats. Also, my polishless manicure was lovely. Mimi does a great job but also uses a soft touch, I don't feel like my cuticles are being roughly ripped off like I have other places in the neighborhood.

Amazing spot in Washington Heights for pedicures and manicures! I stumbled across this place after seeing numerous great Yelp Reviews and decided to try it out. Immediately upon entering the owner acknowledges you, and politely asks you to wash your hands. I was seated immediately for a pedicure. The first time Angelica (Angie) took care of and she was an absolute delight! She really got in there and took everything out and made my feet smooth. Second time I went, I had someone else but she was also good. The pedicure for the price is great $30, you get a hot stone massage, and a solution for softer heels, as well as some tools are disposable (so they're just being used on you.) It's all worth the value. They also do offer discounts like birthday discounts, maternity discounts, and more. After hassling with finding a good spot close to home, I'm glad I finally found La Bella.

Truly exceptional service! Probably the best powder manicure that I've ever gotten. You need to make sure that you call for an appointment - even if it's a few hours before you want to come in, that's what I did! Everyone was very attentive and I only waited about 5 minutes before they were ready for me. Which is A LOT shorter than most other places. Lovely, lovely staff who provide top notch service

Gel Pedicure and then I got a Gel Manicure.

I remember when I used to go to La Bella at 168st the girls make you feel like a princess. I finally found them again I will definitely return again and again

Summary: LaBella is a reliable, no-frills spot for nails in Washington Heights, an area of Manhattan that desperately lacks in the finer areas of life. I started going to LaBella after I had a relationship-ending experience at their competition Shana's. I love them! They always do a solid job ranging from good to great. I find LaBella to be friendly and clean. Mimi is very accommodating and will be happy to give you a lengthy relaxing experience, if you desire, or will speed it up if you need to mani and go. That being said, there are some drawbacks that certainly drop them down from 5 stars (they teeter on 3.5 to 4 in my opinion). You can rarely just walk in for an appointment. CALL AHEAD! You don't even need much advance notice (a day in advance is fine). Also, the space is small and when crowded it can feel super cramped. The pluses include a hot stone massage during the pedicure and great prices ($50 for gel mani + pedi, my usual). Can't beat that!

I went in for a pedicure and was attended fairly quickly, I waited like 5 minutes. I had some ingrown toe nails which were taken out, I received a foot scrub, a massage with a warm stone, warm towel on my feet, and a solution to make my heels softer. The paint job was also done very well. And it was all for $30! Definitely will be going back.

It was a good experience, Mimi did a good job on my nails and was very kind to me, even gave me a complimentary massage. I also got a 20% discount on my nails because it was my birthday

Does anyone know if the salon has moved to its new location? I was there before Christmas for a pedicure and I saw a sign in the window saying they would be moving in December to 174th and Broadway. I tried calling but it's disconnected.

It hasn't opened yet on 174. I checked today. Is it still open down the street? I actually tried calling too.

Do you do acrylic on the toes? If so how much?

They don't do acrylic at all

I booked a 60-minute body massage that same day. They fit me in with no problem. I arrived, and it was a no-frills spot. The walls are thin, so you may hear conversations of rooms next door. But that's typical in New York City where space is rare and walls are makeshift. Because I arrived early however it was empty and most of my massage was quiet and calm. The bathroom I noted was mostly clean but the wastebasket was full the two times I used it. My room was small and clean. Lighting was low, which created a calm atmosphere. The table was covered with a large towel and disposable paper, which was very hygenic. My massage was exceptional. My masseuse was Tian-San (I'm sorry if I misspelled it). He was attentive, he checked in with me a few times if the pressure was comfortable. He massaged every knot on my body, from my head to my toes, literally! The staff was friendly and professional. They patiently answered my questions with a smile. And the lady at the front desk even offered me water after the massage. A few tips: - If you're going Monday-Friday, I recommend going before 4:30 pm. It got busy after then. You may find it distracting if you're sensitive to noise. - Pay cash. They charge extra for credit card fees.

We actually got there before the 20 minute mark someone from the back came told us to sit down and they will be right with us 40 minutes past and we hadn't noticed because we were so deep in conversation While I was getting massaged, I noticed she wasn't focusing on the parts of my body that were stiff and had knots to me that was strange because as a masseuse, you should be able to feel. Is there more as if she was just pushing instead of working around my knots or working through them. Unfortunately, I left feeling no relief at all. Fast forward it's the next day and now I have pain in my lower back and I feel a knot down there.

I have had many deep tissue massages in my life, and I have never experienced this kind of pain. An hour or later, and I can't even move my shoulder. In addition to this, About two minutes into my massage I hear the door open and somebody walked into the room while I was on the table, which was very unnerving and made me feel very unsafe. I was laying there mostly Naked, already not being heard about the type of massage I want only to realize that somebody entered the room and I couldn't see who it was.
