If I could give more stars, I would. I was only there for a small service, one of my toes got damaged a few days after my pedi. I was back in the neighborhood and popped in to have it fixed. The owner (I think) was a bit busy but asked me to sit and she'd get to me. I wasn't in a rush and about 10min later I was in a pedicure chair. She quickly found the match, had a little fan handy for quick drying and I out the chair and into a drying station. I was able to people watch and saw many loyal customers as well as how well they were treated. When I was all done, I went back to the owner (I will get her name next time and edit) and tried to give her tip and she refused. She was extremely sweet and clearly values her customers. 10/10 customer service and I will be back! read more

I started going here for just manicures then I started coming for manicures with color polish. Then I started bringing my partner now we go every week.. I recently got gel tips put on my fingers because I cut my nails too short now I am obsessed and feel like I always will need to have the gel because it looks so good. I started my pedicure with the owner who then proceeded to get up and service other people 3x. Already my precious a.m time was wasted and my nails hadn't even been filed when another worker stepped in. No explanation given, no introduction. The worker, Flor, did barely ok. Rushing through the filing, soaking, half-heartedly scrubbing my feet and annoyingly skimping on the nail polish. In addition, she did not help at all with my transition from the pedi to the drying chair. This is standard practice. No back/shoulder massage, which also used to be standard, was given. Their prices have also gone up from $25 to $30. Their low prices were their advantage. I could have gone to any other place in Manhattan for a little more and way better service. I walked in without an appointment but was accommodated immediately. Pedi process: start with scrub and exfoliate. Wrap in hot towel. Massage legs with oil, felt great. Then hot stone rub. Paper slippers are given so the toes can dry and your feet stay clean. Paraffin wrap for the heels while your toes are being painted - cool! If you make an appointment around 530 they will take care of you until they are finished no problem but if you walk in anytime after six they're just going to turn you away and they aren't rude about it which makes me wonder why they shouldn't just post it's someplace on their windows that the last call is at 6 PM. For $45 on a Wednesday I got a gel mani and regular foot pedi. This place is clean sanitary and has massage chairs that actually work and the handles go up vertically when you're ready to step off rather than awkwardly struggling to go around it like most chairs are! I've come here twice, and twice, I've left disappointed. The first time I came here I was exhausted and after picking a nail color for my toes sat to relax for my pedicure. At the end when I looked down at my feet, I realized the nail color I had picked had been clumpy and the manicurist had still used the polish! My toes looked horrible, and I was frustrated she hadn't said something or offered a different color. I had to go home and redo them which was so incredibly frustrating. The most recent time I came, I got a pedicure and gel mani. The pedicure was great, no complaints. But once she started doing my nails I immediately stopped her - the color she was painting was a bright pink and super different from the nudish brown I thought I'd picked. They assured me that after a second coat and time under the UV Lamp it would be the right color but alas, it was not, and I was stuck with bright pink nails. Despite that, I was fine with it, until the gel I had shelled out an extra $20 for began chipping after TWO DAYS. Two days! In summary, if you're like me and getting your nails done is a rarity and special occasion, and you want it to look good and last, I'd consider going elsewhere. read more

She said it was included in the service fee for the Holiday aside from the discount I thought we were getting. Just because we do not speak Spanish doesn't mean it's an opportunity for people like Maribel to take advantage of a Holiday that was supposed to be cheerful. Also the owner on the phone did not understand me when I called which was very frustrating. I was very close to coming in with authority. Very disrespectful. The paying customer should always be treated with priority. We go to do our nails, not to socialize with employees. Especially ones that practice extortion. I was kind of excited because I haven't done any kind of nail thing for almost 3 year, and the reviews are good and at its a few blocks from my place, so I thought I'd give it a try. I was getting a gel manicure and was going to get a pedicure too, but the woman doing it was sloppy because she kept taking calls to schedule appointments, so she was rushing through and getting gel all over my fingers, but blamed it on my short nails. Then she cut my thumb with her nail and I asked her to just take it all off, and she kept insisting that she should finish. Eventually she took it off, but even that was sloppy since I still have leftover blue under my nails. To her credit she didn't charge me, which I appreciate. For a pedicure, LaBella is the place i usually go. It's a good deal and they use oil and hot stones, so it involves more than your average pedi! She also did a very sloppy job with my mani and pedi. The gel has a rigid line along my cuticles. The salon also had many concerning health issues: they had me put my feet in a tub that had not yet been cleaned, used already used nail files on my toes, and did not wash off any of the surfaces between customers.
