I would give them 0 Stars if I could!
What a complete waste of time!!
We attempted using Label Impressions as a new vendor b/c our previous vendor wasn't delivering the quality they used to.
We decided to try them b/c they were local-ish, the sales rep. seemed nice and he had done us a favor with a rewind of our labels in the past.
We placed an order for 75,000 labels...
My company provided them with all of the specs for our order including artwork, an order sheet from our previous vendor so we were guaranteed to get the same material and laminate, a full roll (1,900) of our labels on a 3" core, as well as ribbon spec and printer model number.
But even with a build sheet, .psd files, printer name and model number, ribbon info and samples of our labels which we provided, Label Impressions was unable to deliver a product that worked with our ribbon and Zebra printer.
As a point of reference, we have had no issues printing on the stock from our previous vendor(s). We've been using the same Zebra ZM400 printer since 2012.
Label Impressions quoted a two week lead time. While the product was "ready" for pick up at the end of the two weeks, when we put their labels on our printer, their labels did not work with our printer ribbon!?!
When I contacted my sales rep about the issue, he said their tech guy says "we need to calibrate our printer"!?!
That didn't sound reasonable to me as we've dealt with numerous vendors in the past and have never had to calibrate our machine for replacement labels.
I called our Zebra tech support rep. who confirmed there was no need for us to calibrate the machine if the labels were supposed to be the same size and material.
He explained to me that these labels were probably laminated with the wrong type of laminate or not laminated at all to work with a thermal transfer printer.
Label Impressions decided to send their tech to our facility along with the sales rep. pretty quickly in what seemed like an effort to prove us wrong.
When the tech attempted to print on their labels and saw the strike image but no Inked image left behind, he knew immediately that the problem was their labels and not our printer "needing to be calibrated".
We allowed them to take all of their labels back after the excuse of "we needed to calibrate our machine" wasn't even attempted by their own tech support rep.
The fact is, the laminate they provided was not allowing our ribbon to print on the stock as it should, or they completely forgot to apply a thermal transfer laminate as ordered.
I offered to let them make good as long as they did so in a timely fashion... One more week has passed and we still have no labels at the end of week 3.
Today they asked if they could come to our facility to test stock on our machine (at the end of week 3).
Yesterday, they supposedly had their own Zebra printer in house, but all of a sudden it's not in their facility.
We did offer them time with our printer, but they never showed up. The sales rep decided to blow up my cell phone with calls and texts but not show up in person as he said he would and we expected.
After wasting 3 weeks waiting, we've now explained to them (again) that time is and has been of the essence, so we've asked for a refund. They did refund our money.
