It's within the building for Mary's Center, a low-cost medical/dental clinic. I did not know it was…read morean appointments only facility, even though the Labcorp website says appointments aren't needed. I had been turned away from the Labcorp facility nearest to my home. Even though I was there 45 minutes before closing, they would not take me for another two days. A woman in the waiting room suggested this office. Even though they are appointment only (and I only knew I needed labwork today or tomorrow before surgery in 5 days), the nicest lab tech in the world squeezed me in for a very quick blood draw that took about 7 minutes. I didn't get her name but she was so nice to do this, and the draw was close to painless. I hope LabCorp realizes what a gem they have here.

I came to labcorp for a quick blood draw. I scheduled my appt about 2 weeks prior. The check-in…read moreprocess was extremely easy. I checked in from my phone and the site tells you that you are able to wait in your car or any close location (i.e., Parking lot). Within 1-2minutes, I got the text that the lab tech was ready for me. I came in and was seen right away. It's been years since I've had a person as efficient and effective as Shena (my labcorp tech) when it comes to performing venipuncture. Many other providers label me a "hard stick" and usually multiple people stick me multiple times before they are able to draw blood. Sheena did it one time and it was quick and easy. This has literally been exceptional service. Who's giving Shena a raise?! Thank you for you wonderful service.

The process was fast, easy, and practically painless as far as my bloodwork went (and I am pretty sensitive). I would recommend this location to others.

She heard me out, and assured me that she would address the concerns I raised, and voiced her dismay and disappointment at how her employees behaved. She also acknowledged that her employee's behavior was fraudulent, and apologized profusely. Sadly, I wouldn't return. I walk in. The phlebotomist didn't say hello, just waved me over, and looked annoyed She then said, "What a last name." ME: That's not the best comment to make about someone's name, you should be trying to provide culturally competent care. HER: Huffed, "Ok." ME: I'm telling you this as a nurse, you should want to provide culturally competent care to everyone. You should treat everyone's name the same, whether it's Jones or [insert my last name]. HER: Fishes in vein, poking the needle every which way, clearly not having any awareness of of where the vein was actually located. I tell her she's not in the vein, so she withdraws. HER. Contaminates the second needle, and was going to proceed with insertion until pointed out the contamination, and asked her to get a new needle. I also requested for someone else to do the second draw. ME: I asked for her name. She told me her name. I asked to see her badge to confirm it. Her badge had a different name on it than the one she initially provided. I brought this to her attention, and she denied having given me the first name. HER: She left our cubicle, and proceeded to complain out loud to her colleague about our interaction. They proceeded to discuss it, took zero ownership, and spoke poorly of me. This was within earshot of other patients as well.

I even checked in on the phone. Once I was finally checked in 20 minutes after my appointment time, it was pretty quick and painless. The young lady who took the blood was downright rude. I was having my blood drawn there because, another Quest location lost the results of a previous blood draw and then did not tell me that the results were lost. From the previous blood draw I had tests ordered by two doctors. Only the test results ordered by one doctor were reported. I had to go get a second blood draw. The young woman at this location became very upset when they did not have the order. She said: "We close soon." That was the appointment they made for me. I showed them the order on my IPhone. She threw a hissy fit. She did eventually do the blood draw. Quest only has one real competitor LabCorps and they are awful too. I had blood taken for this doctor, who really is very good; and the doctor wanted my Vitamin D Level checked. Insurance did not want to pay for it. My mother paid out of pocket. My care coordinator told me either the phlebotomist or the doctor could call and appeal. We were to be reimbursed. I tried contacting Quest and never heard back. Many people in the medical community see the respect doctors get and think: "Why am I not as good?" The answer is simple: "Because you haven't earned it." Quest does not have enough competitors. All these people are awful.
