It's sad when you don't feel well and have to take a test to find out what the problem is and the lab technicians are rude to you and accuse you of lying about the way you handled your test. That's what happened to me at labcorp of Bernardo Heights. I will never go there again! They have no compassion and no understanding. read more

This is the closest lab from home so I took my mom here for an annual routine blood work (FBS, 2 hour OGTT, urinalysis, etc.). First of all, the waiting area was clean and roomy. It was about 8:30AM when we came in and there were only 2 other people waiting. We were called up by the nice receptionist pretty quickly and were helped by Melissa, Sheri, and Malia. All of these phlebotomists were very friendly and professional. Even the Asian receptionist was wonderful. They were having a hard time reading one of the tests on the physician's order form so she went ahead and contacted the doctor's office to make sure that my mom was getting the correct test. Also, there's a nice bagel shop right next to this lab. Our experience here was pleasant and so I'm giving them 5 stars. Great job, ladies! read more

Slow service (~30 min wait witth appointment) but the staff was nice and the venue itself not too dirty.

Today was a good day at Lab Corp...........but not usually. you alwasy want to go in the a.m. as the staff in the a.m. is MUCH BETTER than the staff in the afternoon. I've stood at the desk waiting like a wet food stamp while the girl on the phone rolls her eyes at me while she openly carries on an argumentitive conversation with her boyfreind..........then is rude to me. I don't think this company really cares what people say in social media, just like they don't care about the excessive time people spend waiting to have their blood drawn. After all, they have a virtual monopoly in this area as there are no other places like it ner by. The other major player, Quest, will only draw blood with a doctors order. That leaves the rest of us waiting for an hour or more for a five minute procedure. On the day I was here, there were 2 employees-1 processing paperwork and 1 drawing blood. THAT'S IT! The waiting room was full and continued to fill up. The woman who "stuck" me missed the easiest vien to find-the one that has been in the same place for 20 years and was nailed the first time by my physicians assistant in Georgia where I lived for many years. The paperwork lady came over and got it right away, leading me to believe that the incompetent woman who had two screaming people right before me knows nothing about the proper way to take blood. I would definitely avoid this location. The problem is they are in Rancho Bernardo and specified by most doctors in the area, as RB is a large retirement community. Guess most of us are stuck with this inefficient and disrespectful company until something better comes along. read more

Was so pleased to see a well run office, clean, enough staff to clear out the waiting room quickly ( I have be n here when there was only one staff person!), a great pleasant technician and good atmosphere. I went here during my lunch break from work, hoping to get in and out quickly by making an appt so I could get back to work. It was SO frustrating because I got there early and I still had to wait about 15 minutes after my assigned appt time to go in. They were just taking people in as they signed in, including walk-ins. Although the woman who drew my blood was really nice, she drew one incorrect lab instead of what was ordered by my doctor (which I subsequently heard from my doctor's office is a common problem with Labcorp in general; the same thing happened to a couple other patients). I was contacted by Labcorp asking me to return to get it redrawn. When I spoke to the lab, they said I could go to any other Labcorp (since I was not going to be close to this site during the hours they were open for a while) and the charges would be reversed for the erroneous lab. Well...3 months later and I'm STILL dealing with trying to get that refund. My insurance (and then subsequently I) was already billed (for both the incorrect and the new correct lab!) No one picks up at the phone # listed - it is just a recording and directs you back to the general Labcorp customer service line so I'm stuck dealing with reexplaining the issue to someone different each time. SO frustrating. I would avoid this lab, if at all possible. They're completely irresponsible, clueless, and careless which is unacceptable in the medical field. read more

Let me start off by saying that I do not like blood work. I know that no one likes it but I really don't like it! I read the other reviews for this place and all I can say is that there must be a total change in staff over there because I want to go back tomorrow! The front desk lady was so nice. A gentleman wanted to pay a bill and she called customer service so he could do so. Another person couldn't find her lab order so she called the doctor. A third person was there three days in a row - she made sure she got taken care of. All with a smile! The person drawing blood was happy. She actually appeared to like her job. Really great team and can't recommend enough. I wish I knew who to tell in corporate because these folks deserve to be acknowledged! Excellent work!!! read more

This lab is slow moving, even without the crowd. They take about 15-20 minutes per patient, just for a blood draw. On top of the long wait my paperwork was messed up and I have to go back and get redrawn. read more

The woman at the front desk is incompetent and rude. She did not respect the privacy of any of the clients and had a angry mob in the lobby complaining about how long they had been waiting .They had not received any updates as to how long they would be waiting. I arrived 30 minutes early for my appointment and waited an hour and a half to be seen. Once I arrived I was greeted by a desk clerk that could not answer any of my questions. I had the same experience the second time I tried to get work done. Ill be trying another location. read more

I thought maybe I was being a little over sensitive because I had to get off of work early (take time off of work) and drive into Poway/Rancho Bernardo ( don't live near by but its the closest lab corp to home) only to have to do it over again after the receptionist or lab tech or whatever she was asked me to come back the next day. But after reading the reviews (a little too late) I see that this location is clearly poorly managed. When the hour of operation clearly state closing at 4:30, they should stick to what they are advertising. I got there at 4:27 and the doors were locked. Before reading my phone for the time, I thought to myself, gosh I guess I was at the light longer than I thought. I started walking away and I decided to reach into my purse to re-check the time... nope - 4:27. I saw someone at the reception desk who intentionally did not look up until I knocked and pointed to my proverbial watch and mouthed, "Its not 4:30". The man waiting in the waiting room, yes, they were still seeing clients, laughed as the receptionist got up to reluctantly open the door. Long story even longer, I asked her to please let the manager know that it was not fair, especially since there were no holiday hour signs or alternate hours signs posted. She said she got permission from the manager to close early because he didn't want her doing any over time. Not My Problem. I don't care how close to closing time it says, if its not closing time, I still have the right to be serviced. read more

I just had my blood drawn at Lab Corp on Ohio Ave. in Escondido. What a great experience! The lab tech drew blood after one try. My veins are very small! There was no wait at 10:00 AM on Thursday. I stopped going to Lab Corp in Rancho Bernardo. The waits are long and they always had trouble drawing blood after I was poked numerous times! The last time I went to the one in RB two technicians could not get blood from me! Never will I go to RB again. Try the one in Escondido! read more

The woman at the front desk is bad. I had an appointment, arrived 15 minutes early, waited another 35 mins and was still not called! When asked about having an appointment and waiting, all she could say was "I will call you. Please sit down". What is the point of having an appointment then? She did not even sound apologetic for making someone with an appointment wait so long without being told anything! I'm going to try another LabCorp location and hope for better service!! My experience was fortunately identical to my husbands. The staff got me in quickly and were very professional and safe. AND this was almost a painless procedure. I am not a fan of bloodsuckers - insect or human, and the phlebotomist who performed the blood draw was accurate and quick. Yay! read more

The lab did not open at 7.00 exposing sick people to the freezing cold,many of whom were senior citizens. A lot of the patients were also fasting. Luckily a nurse was in line and had a number to call as no one answered the 800 number. Finally someone showed up at 7.50am. This lab is one of the worst locations as the wait is always long. One hs to allot at least an hour and a half for a mere blood draw. read more

Wait time is just bearable. In general Nurses are very rough ( I had experience with 2 different ones here)!! They almost dig my veins and make the blood draw procedure so inconvenient. So many other places/hospitals, you don't feel more than a tinge. Here, the nurse kind of digs into the vein, struggling to find the right spot etc.. Very ordinary and hard on you. LabCorp RB is grossly under staffed and way too slow. Their technicians have always been friendly and polite, but then again I've only worked with the afternoon staff. Their facilities look a bit run down and the restroom is kinda rough looking. The location inside Pomerado Hospital is way better and quicker. read more

There were three people working, yet in the 30 minutes we were there, only two people had their blood drawn. We finally gave up and went to nearby Scripps Clinic in Rancho Bernardo. We were in and out in 10 minutes exactly! Go there instead. read more

This is a very accessible lab as you can park near the front door, compared with going to the hospital labs. I had an appointment and went in as soon as I had filled out the paperwork. Very nice people, too. read more

This lab location has easy access as its in a store front. Waiting times can be long. It took an hour for me as I was a walk in. The best strategy seems to be to make an appointment before you come to the lab. I saw three of those guys taken ahead of me because they had appointments. Phone is 858-674-0903. I walked in without an appointment, and it took about 15 minutes to get my blood drawn, staff was fairly friendly.

I wasted well over an hour today just to get a couple tubes of blood drawn that took a couple minutes. This is typical of my experiences here, except this time they found the doctor's order without any trouble.. They have been short staffed since they opened but have done nothing to correct their chronic wait-time problem. They also have a can't-do approach to customer service. After waiting for 45 minutes I was finally called to have my blood drawn, but they wanted me to sign a form that made me responsible for the cost because the diagnostic code wasn't the one Medicare wanted. I told them to call the doctor and get the diagnostic code changed to the right one. DAH. Why didn't they do that without asking me? 20 minutes later they call me again to have my blood drawn. They had called the doctor and their computer was finally happy with the diagnostic code. Since this is the second time in a row for this diagnostic code problem, I asked the tech to give me the right diagnostic code she had gotten from the doctor so I could be sure this didn't happen again. She refused. She first claimed she didn't have access to the codes. When I pointed out she had just entered one in the computer she claimed the computer didn't print that information. The person in charge of the site made the same claim. I told them to get a pencil and copy it from the computer screen the tech had used to enter it. While they were doing that I happened to look at the form the tech had left on the table next to me. It was a copy of the order for the tests, with all the diagnostic codes printed on it. The printout they claimed their computer couldn't print was sitting next to me the whole time. All they had to do was print another copy, but either they couldn't be bothered or were so inexperienced and/or incompetent they don't know what data is printed on their own forms. In fairness if I had to work for this company for a while I might not be motivated for customer service either. I have also given up on this place. My doc likes to use LabCorp because he can enter paperless orders, but I am going to insist on getting my labs done at Pomerado Hospital's lab right downstairs. Not perfect, but a good step up. read more

I had an appointment here to get blood drawn and as I looked up the address on google the yelp reviews popped up too. As you can imagine I become pretty worried because the reviews were so bad. I went anyways and became even more skeptical as I pulled up to the location because the outside looked pretty ghetto. I was relieved when I walked in because it was much nicer inside, looked like a pretty typical medical office waiting room. The front desk person seemed friendly as she nicely greeted me. I signed in at 10:55 for an 11:00 am appointment (which I made online). The lab tech called me back a few minutes after. The blood drawing procedure (which I was most nervous about due to the bad reviews) was completely painless and took no more than 60 seconds. I was out the door before 11:15. I gave them 5 stars because there's really nothing I could think of that could have made my experience any better (realistically speaking, of course). My appointment was on time, quick, and painless. Maybe I just got lucky but I get blood work done regularly so hopefully my next experience is just as good read more
