The lead tech who drew my blood was a bit careless! One would think her being the lead she'd be a bit more experienced at finding the right site. She drew blood from below the bend of my arm and maneuver inside after entering the site. She also moved the needle back and forth trying to fill more tubes knowing it was a small vein not producing enough blood for the tubes needed to be filled. The sad part is she had to draw more blood from my other arm because she needed to fill more tubes. The injection site is swollen, bruised and sore ): One would think her being the lead she'd be a bit more experienced at finding and knowing whether the site would be sufficient without bruising my arm. I then called to talk with her concerning my injury and she would not even listen to me. I AM TOTALLY DIGUSTED!!!!! read more

Had my annual labs done here. They couldn't find my appt b/c my name is hyphenated. Had to call doctor, wait another 45minutes after my initial appt even though I was in the system the entire time. The front staff was very nice throughout the "ordeal" but it was frustrating. The phlebotomist was rough. One of the most painful blood draws that I've ever had. It left a huge bruise for over 2 weeks. read more

Ann phlebotomist, Wonderful service, always smiling gentle at drawing blood. I always ask for her to draw my blood.

Short handed staff. Your waiting time can be between 1.5 to 2 hours if you don't have an appointment. The office patient's area only allows 8 patients inside. The rest have to wait outside the office in the hallway without chairs or any accommodation. Just brace yourself. read more

Really slow! I came at 7:30 and left at 9:40! If I knew it's such a drag, I'd never come here. !!! Apologizing for too much info here. I had a urine test which I didn't know about and they didn't tell me at the front desk that I need to be drinking water. Isn't it at their scan code info, right on the screen?! So I had to spend even more time to get that accomplished. They don't even have a filtered water here. They offered a water fountain! Wow. A great treatment of people. They also they scan your driver license at the sign in instead of a paper sheet. No good, no good at all. Don't ever come here. read more

I had to get my blood work done and my anxiety has gone through the roof bc I passed out almost every time. Anh assisted me, I let her know I'm extremely scared, not of pain but I'm not sure why the process makes me feel super nauseous and dizzy.. She was quick , painless and so attentive. I did get really dizzy and had to lay down for awhile before getting back up & she handed me some ice packs She was extremely business yet efficient.. I loved her & lab Corp is so lucky to have her at that location! Thank you Anh! read more

Very disorganized. Woman at the desk insisted that I check in with the kiosk, which was buggy and ultimately didn't work. No privacy during check in. She was also very loud. I hope I don't need to come back here. read more

This location is OPEN. I have been coming here for the pass year and they always provided the best service. Just went today without appointment and I got in and out in 10 mins. 5***** for sure read more

Why do they text that the tech is ready to see me and then I still have to wait another 45 minutes? This is on top of the hour+ I waited in my car. I had to get another test done at Wirs at the same time and they had almost no one wait. The receptionists act like they are going you a favor, not like you just shelled out a couple of hundred for their so called services and they are a business. I will be choosing Quest from now on. read more

This is where your Dr. may send you to have shots and other fun lab work. Here is my strategy to avoid the crowds and long lines.. Rancho Bernardo is a retirement community. That being said, elderly people usually wake up very early and stop up here when they first open. The best time to get here is at 11AM. It's before lunch and it's after the geriatric AM rush.. It's just a room with fake wood flooring.. Magazines are well worn out. MONDAY-FRIDAY 7:00AM-4:30PM LUNCH NOON-1:00PM read more

Went in for routine blood work. Easy to book online, when I arrived they were fast & professional. The facility is very clean. I got my test results been in LESS than 24 hours! read more

Probably one of the worst lab experiences I had. I honestly do t know how long does it take to draw blood. For these guys is an average of 4 draws per hour. The whole process is slow and unbearably inefficient. read more

Awesome and fast Quest is a nightmare will return

Donating blood for a study. Best service ever! Arrived 10 mins early, used the wait in car option. Exactly on time received a message to come inside. Staff knew exactly what to ask for and do. No wait time. Intake was easy. Blood draw was painless. I would recommend this business. read more

OMG! Quick service! I arrived 10 minutes early for my appointment. I did the self check in and sat down, then they called in about 2-3 minutes later. I was in a room, and the tech came in and did the work in a timely manner. I was in and out in no time! Love this place. Great, great job everyone! You guys are on top of things! Thank you soooo much! read more

I've been going to labs my whole life. This is the worst. Sitting in room for 30 minutes after waiting over 30 minutes. They don't even recognize I here. Still here. read more

This review refers only to the Rancho Bernardo LabCorp and the people who work there and not to the corporation. I've been going here for several years for annual blood work and except for some early experiences when the place was not run well, I have witnessed it getting better and better. A large part of that, I believe, was the ability of the client to request an appointment rather than just walking in. At my appointment today I was helped by three capable and polite people, Aaron at the front desk, Renee for the paperwork and Shiva, who drew my blood. All three of them went out of their way to pronounce my first name correctly and all succeeded! My name is not terribly common but is spelled the way it's pronounced. However, when these three people made the effort to say it correctly it meant a lot to me. It showed caring. This caring came through from Aaron's demeanor at signing me in, to Renee's doing extra paperwork because my doctor's order didn't show up (probably computer issue), and Shiva's excellent blood drawing. Care, smiles, and politeness all the way through with these three. Of course, this is the way it should be but it isn't always (in general) and how would you like to have this work done by folks resembling The Three Stooges or worse? I wouldn't! read more

I was sent to the LabCorp facility yesterday, 10/13/2020, by my physician. They seem to be busy, but proficient. Due to Covid-19, there were signs posted that not more than 8 people should be inside the waiting room. There were 3 self check in computer stations. I was asked to use one of the stations and check my self in. I saw at least 8 others do this as I waited to be called. I though it was strange that no one santized these touch screens. I also don't think the phlebotomist chairs were not sanitized in between patients. During this time of Covid-19, it was a very obvious oversight. I did not feel comfortable at this facility and I washed up as soon as I left read more

The people here are very nice but sooooo slow. It is absurd to wait an hour for a walk in blood draw.

Have been coming to this LabCorp for years, today hit rock bottom. Got there approx. 20 minutes before the appointment time I made online, signed in and waited. They called me over the first time to copy my insurance cards, even though I had entered everything online. Sat back down, and noticed that people who had walked in after me were being serviced ahead of me. Not the end of the world, but irritating. Called in to the lab room, the tech when she came in had me change chairs, lowered the opposing chair arm onto my belly (not all the way down) and asked my name and birthday. She then looked at the vein in my arm and said it looked as if it might roll (or roll under) and when I said that had never happened before, she said, "There's always a first time." And laughed loudly. Her blood drawing skills were marginal at best, but my vein cooperated. When we were done, I told her it seemed that my making an appointment I was being penalized, because walk-ins before me had gotten right in. She said, "That's because we take appointments at the appointment time, not before. If you don't want to wait, get here closer to your exact appoint time." She then suggested I talk to the people at the front desk. I said I didn't want to talk with anyone and left. I'm going to try Quest Diagnostics next time, these people don't deserve my business. I usually have a bad experience when having blood drawn. I've been to this lab on three separate occasions and have seen a different technician each time. The process was efficient and relatively painless. A few hours later I could hardly find the injection site. I highly recommend this facility. read more

My recent trips here have been fine. They are short staffed it seems, but when I come there are only a few people ahead of me because I come in the early morning. The waiting area is very roomy, and the staff is pleasant. read more

Had an appointment for 11:45 got here at that time. Signed in and sat for another 25 - 30 minutes waiting for our appointment while the workers just sat there . What's the purpose of appointment if we're not going to be seen at that time? read more

***Huge caveat*** This review is actually just for Liz who works at this location. She is phenomenal at her job. I often get blood drawn for labwork, and I HATE needles practically to the point of having a phobia. She quickly drew my blood, five vials worth, in a short amount of time with very little pain. Unfortunately I've heard that other workers at this location are not as professional, fun or quick like she is. :( TIP: always ask for someone experienced to draw your blood. I used to not do this, until I got a very inexperienced person at the Mira Mesa LabCorp location. She was so bad, she gave me a bruise that was about as large as the circumference of a quarter at the injection site. read more

I've always been treated great at this labcorp, but today takes the cake. I had some bloodwork I needed to do, one of which was a timed test so the blood needed to be drawn at 8am. It also necessitated me taking a prescribed pill at midnight the night before. Unfortunately, the doctor who ordered it (I'm sure you can figure out who by my other reviews) didn't send in the work and didn't give me a copy of it ether. The ladies there were sooooo helpful and looked up the test to see what was needed, and did the draw anyway. Then they went above and beyond to call my doctor and get the order faxed over so that I wouldn't need to redo the tests. I was really wowed by how helpful they were to me. read more

My Dr. sent me to this location, saying she'd send my lab orders over & to give it a couple of days to get there before going. I called several times the next week to check, but never got a human - just a repeating recording. Once there was an opportunity to leave info to have my call returned, but it wasn't returned. I went online to make an appt. - the first available was today at 12:45. Upon arrival (I had been fasting) there were 2 others outside the locked door. There were pages re: Covid-19 testing & other LacCorps locations - all of no interest to me - but no explanation. LabCorps has a website - why could I make an appt. when they were closed? Couldn't someone have returned pertinent phone calls? Poor administrative practices! read more

I took my son (12yrs) for blood test to this branch in Pomerado road after Dr. visit. The technician didn't know the basics of blood drawing !She poked through the vein and did maneuver inside but couldn't draw blood. I had to step in! Any way, some one else came and draw from the other arm! I have online portal but I haven't received the results after 5 days! and this was STAT situation, not to mention that one of his results hasn't come back! We really struggled with all of our tests here. It looks like they live in stone age! I'll never go there again! If I could I'll give a negative star for this place! read more

Everything went well with the blood draw, but the test results never came in. I went back to the Poway facility 6 working days later to find out what happened. First of all the receptionist speaks English as a second language and with the mask wearing, she was next to impossible to understand. Very frustrating. I told her that I had blood drawn on July 9th and the results have not shown up in the LabCorp Patient Portal, yet. It was the 17th and nothing had been sent to my doctor, either. She told me that LabCorp only draws the blood and sends it out; after that they don't have control of it. She assured me that the blood samples had been sent out on the 13th. The 13th?! I was livid. They should have been sent out the very same day, the blood was drawn! She also said that it usually takes 2 weeks to get the results, which is a lie. In the past the blood results have shown up in the Portal within 1 to 3 days. This is totally bogus. Obviously, someone lost my the vials or the paperwork. Now, I have to go in again and have blood drawn. I'll go back to Escondido and have it done. this place sucks! read more

Don't come here if you have anywhere else to be that day. I had an appointment and still had to wait 30 minutes. They did not seem concerned that they were running behind schedule - in fact it seemed appointments meant nothing because everyone happened to be called back in the order they arrived. They showed no consideration for others time. read more

Came early at 640 place opens at 7. Waited second in line out by 0713. Front desk was friendly and my tech Aaron was awesome. Computers worked great, found my documents from my doctor. No complaints here! read more

I was so nervous to go here for the first time rather than the usual place I was using before moving and switch of insurance. I have a neurological condition now which makes me dizzy and lightheaded all the time so fasting doesn't help. I found every staff member calm and nice but most of all I was in good hands with Anne. She listened to me and knew without my telling her to use the small needle on me and everything went painlessly and not rushed. I'm no longer afraid to go to this location in the future. Thanks to Anne for her demeanor read more

Really really nice people there, but the computer system is always down. If you made an appointment, forget about it. When you get there it will be first come first serve. If you don't have a copy of your doctors orders, you can't get anything done because the computers are down so they won't be able to look it up. The folks there are doing their best but obviously not being supported by corporate offices. 1.5 hrs wait last time I went, and I had an appointment plus a copy of my doctors orders! read more

The wait is super long because of all the people that come to this location and I feel like the employees move like snails. Waited almost 90 mins for a blood draw. It literally should take up to 5 mins per person for a draw. read more

This is by far the worse place I ever been to ! What I can't understand is drawing blood is what they do but then they take the wrong blood!!!! Now I have to go back have them take more blood just what I look forward to!!! Why can't every doctor just have everything done in house!!! I would not recommend this place to my worse enemy!!! Incompetent people at this facility!!!! read more

Went to this LabCorp location today. I was in and out in less than 30min as a walk-in. Everyone was really nice and friendly. Everyone was very fast and efficient, getting everyone moving along. I have read a few reviews that there are some issues with this location and its billing. Hopefully that is not the case for me but we will see. For the moment this location is a definite 5 stars. read more

I made a reservation for 11:30 online. I don't know why I bothered. I wasn't sitting in a chair until 12:15. They couldn't find my reservation, next they couldn't figure out what tests my doctor wanted. A real CF. #incompetence. Go to a different branch if you like LabCorp. read more

Checkin was East and efficient, had six people in front of me and only waited 5 minutes. Everyone was very nice, not sure why there are so many bad reviews. read more

I usually come in before 7 am on my way to work without making an appointment. The longer I wait at any medical office the more anxious I get.
