LabCorp is a great place to get your lab work done. That being said if you make an appointment you should not have to wait 30 to 70 minutes. They were extremely busy. They were running behind. They were short of help, which I have patience for. I understand that these things happen. However, no one there and there were approximately 30 of us inside and may be another 10 outside waiting. Not everyone having a place to stand or sit, could not understand the receptionist she meant well. She tried hard, but her accent was so and mispronouncing of names caused additional confusion and frustration. I would suggest they hire someone just for the desk that can speak English and pronounce names properly, so that people didn't sit there wondering who was being called and what the person was saying. read more

Yelp forces us to give at least one star. This place is ridiculously slow. There is no point of making an appointment. I take that back. You just wait an hour less than the other 2-3hour walk in patients. You have to sign it at the front desk BEFORE you go the Express check in machine. Don't really understand the point of that. It would be better if they put a sign by the window. There was a notice on the wall between the two machines but due to the amount of patients standing around covering the notice, I was unable to see it. There was only one lady at the front desk checking in patients and answering the phone. Seriously shortstaff. I was listening to the other patients complain that this is an ongoing issue with this particular location. But just like them, due to convenience (location wise), we are all stuck here. read more

I don't know who is worse LABCORP or Quest. I had my Doctor fax over my lab order to save me from going cross town to the Blackwood location. This was Monday. I get off work at 0500 on Thursday stand outside until the open, check in and was told they didn't get it. That afternoon I called my Doctor and it was verified they sent to the correct number. Tried calling LABCORP but never could speak to a human. So I went back again on Friday and was told the same thing. Not at all happy with the receptionist both days. They did what I needed but I sat for over 2 hours waiting which is what it is... however the self check in is fine, HOWEVER for the older generation it can be difficult and stressful. I got behind a gentleman who was trying to register him and his wife and was having difficulty do it. Unfortunately his eyes sight was not the best and it just seemed overwhelming for him. One guy tried to help but for what ever reason it was not taking so he gave up. I asked him if he needed help and we finally got him signed up. Now through the process of getting them signed up 5 other people registered on the other machine prior to me. That ok we all finally were taken care of. THEY meaning the Lab staff should have people there to help them with the process instead of letting the older clients founder trying to register. I had a urine test to take that's why I set the appointment... the office was packed so I went to my car and asked to get a call when it was my time but didn't get a call almost a hour later I go back in and was told my name was called. This place isn't perfect but it isn't bad if they have most of there staff the can get people within 30-45 minutes and of course if its a walk in it'll be at least an hour or if you have a scheduled appointment they will still call you. Some people are really impatient even when LabCorp is understaffed, had a employement drug screen and marina took good care of me even when I couldn't hold my pee she told me I'd have to wait 30-45 more which I know would an hour or less. At the end of the day all you have to do is be kind and wait patiently, and be kind even if the staff is having a bad day, try to make their day by having a small conversation and understand that this a clinic and none are perfect. read more

Without a doubt, the most useless, uncoordinated staff I have ever seen. Went for a pre-employment drug screening and was told I'd be texted when they were ready for me. After an hour of no text, I asked for an update and was rudely told by Marina at the front that she had texted and I must have put my number wrong. The number they had in the system was correct, she lied. After another hour of waiting, I was called in for the test only to have an equally incompetent assistant unable to figure out their system as it told them my registration was "cancelled". After calling both my employer and the third party that handles the screen, it was confirmed the registration was fine, and that LabCorp just needed to scan the barcode they were sent. I was then informed this location doesn't even have the hardware to scan a barcode. On top of all of this, the lobby and back rooms were filthy. Thankfully, the third party was able to relocate my screening to the CareSpot up the road, where the entire process took less than 30 minutes. Stay away from this location at all costs. Seriously, you're better off driving as far as it takes to go literally anywhere else. Fire your rude, lying receptionist, and install some hardware that can keep up with technology. read more

How do you open at 6am and then have to get ready. Staff should come in a few minutes earlier to get computers up and running and to get dressed. It's 6:21am and no one has been called back because they are getting ready. Staff is not friendly they are rude and feel as though you are bothering them. A older lady asked a question and the front desk lady just told her to have a seat! She could have taken a few seconds to address her. There is no privacy. I was called up about my insurance and was asked for a credit card the front desk was very loud! Could that have not been done in the back? A long line out the door 6am to sign in at the kiosk, but staff is walking around talking and laughing. they could have taken some of the people at the desk. But no they continuedd with their conversation with co workers. The tech came to the door to call a name but no one heard her she said the name but turned around and started talking and laughing with a coworker and everyone in the lobby was asking the name but she continued her talking and once she was finished she called the name again. I didn't have to wait at all. I came in as a walk-in and was seen right away. There was plenty of staff. I came in for a three-hour glucose test and after the first hour become lightheaded and faint. The staff helped me a lot. They gave me water, carried me to the back and let me sit in a recliner until I felt better. They really cared about me and helped me in a difficult situation. If I could give this location zero stars, I would. The wait time is very long. They state they have a 13 person max capacity in their lobby in regards to COVID-19 precautions, but they are definitely not implementing it. While everyone was wearing their mask, there were far too many people in the lobby for far too long. On top of a not so good experience with wait times and unsafe COVID-19 precautions, the front desk staff is not very nice either. This location is amazing! I never knew it was here until I was turned away from 2 Quest locations because I didn't have an appointment. I need a simple blood screen form my son and everyone at lab Corp was so wonderful. The receptionist was so pleasant and cheery even at 7am and the phlebotomist was extremely gentle and talked to him the whole time so he wasn't scared. Highly recommend!!! read more

I scheduled an appointment for 6:30am on 9/6/16, and they have taken almost 1 hour to call my name to have my prepaid blood drawn today. The patient representatives are very rude, clearly disorganized, and they have called more than 10 patients that came in after me. This place is a vicious cycle of ignorance, ineptitude, and indolence. The place is packed with "patrons", a term I use very loosely, who are typically unruly and impolite. Since the staff must deal with this on a daily basis, their patience wears very thin. Even if you carry yourself in a respectful demeanor you are still treated as if you're a leper with bad breath who just cracked a joke about their mama. To me it feels like some state run health department, almost boarding on some government run institution in a developing country. . . Every genre of people can be seen in the waiting room. God help you if you have to get blood test at this location. Just got my blood test today and I never ran into a staff so unfriendly this early in the morning. The faces were as if though they smelled shit on me. They will ask for a debit or credit card, but it's not mandatory and I recommend you decline. Think I will go to the Quest blood test location next time. On the appointment issue noted by previous reviewers. If you have a 9AM appointment and you get there say 7AM they will let you sit there and wait until 9AM and all the walk ins will be taken first. So if you have an appointment and you get there early don't mention you have one!! One last point. The nurses were all sniffling with allergy or a cold. I would recommend they wear a mask to protect themselves as well as the patients. read more

If you were wise enough to check the yelp reviews before heading to this location, let me just tell you that you don't need to read any further- look for a different location. There is a quest diagnostics about 7 minutes from this labcorp that seems to be better. My main issue is the negative energy among the staff that work at this location. Even if you treat them with respect, you're not likely to get the same treatment. You'll likely wait at least 30 minutes or more after your appointment time to be seen. Some tips if you find yourself there: 1. When you walk in, go to the window and put your name on the clipboard- list the time you arrived and your appointment time. 2. The staff will call you up eventually (may take 15-20 minutes) and ask for your insurance information and lab slip. They may ask for a credit card but YOU ARE NOT REQUIRED TO GIVE IT TO THEM- you will receive a bill for any portion that is not paid by insurance. Then sit down again (if there are any chairs free) 3. Wait to be called in by the phlebotomist. 4. Once you're called in, you'll walk into the phlebotomy room and its a very quick process to draw the blood- then you leave, no need to stop at the counter again. The phlebotomist does not seem to have the information on what labs you're having done- the only thing they see is what kind of containers to fill. If you ask the phlebotomist questions about your specific labs, they're not likely to know the answers. The front office/checkin staff are the individuals who enter all of your labs into the system- they are the ones who will ask you if you're fasting, etc and have information about the particular labwork you're having done. I am in awe with the way I was treated at this place. I went to Labcorp to have my bloodtest done. I can still not beleive how the nurse in charge on drawing my blood questioned my face expression (a bit of pain). She just asked me if I had children, that i didnt know pain!!, well everyone knows I cant have kids because of my 2 times ovarian cancer. And I am great! Well, ma'am I know pain, i know how it feels to have a C section without a baby coming out of my body! Oh believe me I know!! I visited this location yesterday and had to deal with two very rude front desk women that did not speak English well. The Latina front desk clerk yelled at an older Chinese man to sit down when he went to ask her a question. If that was my dad I would have had a problem with her. The other Latina lady with the bob cut hair was singing so loud and unprofessional in front of the patients! Don't understand why LabCorp has two Spanish speakers at the front desk??? You need to have one Spanish and one other language for other languages as well. That area has lots of Asians and Creole speakers. Let's see some Employment Diversity there! What made me so upset was when the Latina front desk clerk yelled at a Haitian man telling him to bring a translator next time while there are two of them speaking Spanish. Scheduled an appointment for 8:45 am October 2, 2017. Seriously regret not looking at Yelp reviews prior to booking an appointment. Scheduled my appointment here because LabCorp was preferred by my insurance carrier. Reception staff are incompetent. I specifically told the first person (an older white woman) that I needed my blood drawn by 9:00 am per doctors orders. This was disregarded and I was told I would be called up to get my information. 5 minutes until 9:00 am I was finally called me up to get my information (this time by a different receptionist, a younger black woman). DX Codes were listed on my bloodwork sheet, so I don't understand why there was a delay. Come 9:00 am I told the receptionist that was getting my information to give me my license, insurance card, and paperwork back as it was now 9:00 am and per the doctors instructions my blood needed to have been drawn already. The older white woman who I had initially told that I needed my blood drawn on time or by 9:00 am stated that it doesn't have to be by 9:00 am it can be a few minutes later. Clearly she must know more than the doctor that prescribed the blood tests! I called and spoke with the supervisor (her number and email is listed on the glass in front of the receptionists) who apologized but stated that appointments are not seen on time and are usually seen 15-30 minutes after their appointment schedule. She also stated that the website does NOT state this which can be misleading. Her example was that if you have an appointment with a Doctor you are not seen exactly on time. Well the Quest I have visited in the past has ALWAYS seen me on time either earlier than my scheduled appointment (by a couple minutes), exactly on time, or at worse less than 10 minutes past appointment time. Ultimately going to stick with Quest Diagnostics where appointments are on time. read more

The staff at the Ocoee Labcorp Location is exceptional! From the moment I walked in, they all made me feel like family! The front desk coordinator, Yamile, was welcoming, hospitable, knowledgable and made me feel so important. I was able to quickly sign-in and was fully informed on what to do next. Knowing that I had a limited time to return to work, the staff expedited my procedure and I was out in 20 minutes!! Although I may never need to return, they made me feel like I would go back 1000 times! The lab worker that attended to me, Marina, was so incredibly sweet and warm. Her positive attitude portrayed such knowledge, professionalism, and calmness that it was clear that she could probably do this procedure in her sleep. Within less than 5 minutes, I was done and out of the office. I have never had a doctors visit that went so well and one that I would not mind doing again and again. Thank you Labcorp Ocoee Team. Bridget was friendly and found my vein and drew blood immediately and painlessly (I am normally a 2-3 stick girl with notoriously hard to stick veins, so she really deserves a medal for her work today). Go to another location. I agree with all the other 1* ratings. This place is PACKED by 7am and all appointments are late. It's probably because it is so close to the big hospital, but regardless they are not organized and you will sit in their gross waiting room for at least 30 minutes after your appt time. This morning I had a 7am appointment, when I got there the waiting room was full already. I signed in on the sign in sheet and the electronic kiosk. I sat down from 7am until 745 and nobody ever called my name up to get my paperwork. I was going to be late for work so I had to leave. It is very frustrating because I had to reschedule my entire morning to make it to this appointment and now I have to do it all over again.
