I thought I had a respiratory infection of something like that. The staff carefully examined me, took the requisite tests, and treated me as if I was a long time patient. In fact, I told the doctor that I have been looking for a doctor and I asked if they ever take patients ... you know making the Urgent Care their personal care doctor. Sadly, he said no. The most important part of my visit ... the life saving part of my visit ... when the doctor came back to the examination room he calmly told me I didn't have a respiratory infection. He then asked, "Which emergency room are you going to go to?" Wait, an ER? Me??? The guy who hasn't been to a doctor in ages ... Yes, underlying what I thought was a sinus infection was a heart issue that might have killed me in a week or two but this Urgent Care doctor calmly and professionally directed me to the ER giving a quick explantion of his concerns. One week later I had two stents in my heart and a new regimen of medications, which I would not have had if I had not gone here. He got it right ... I am alive and doing quite well. FIVE STARS ... FIVE LIFE SAVING STARS!!!!

The woman at the front desk is extremely rude and not helpful. Not sure why she is still there. If she doesn't like dealing with people she needs to find another job, preferably not working with sick/injured patients. Quality of care from the doctors there is hit or miss. Not something you want to take your chances on when you need help.

So the nurse or whoever talks to you in beginning right before dr comes in shouldn't be working anymore she literally asked me at least 5 times in a row are you allergic to anything which between her which was already too much and the dr I was extremely angry. Then I'm telling you never experienced anything like this she says so you do drugs but the way she was with that hard to explain how it made me feel so I was literally about to be like you know what you got me at that point just to be a smart ass yes I take every thing there is just before I came in I put up my butt like what is wrong with you lady who does what you do and if you do this with everyone how hasn't anyone complained she was old probably way past retirement age but come on needless to say that experience was so horrendous I will definitely not be going back after all these years. They either need to have a talk with that lady or tell her she needs to retire or let her go. I had my whole evening planned but after that experience I was done for the night so did nothing got nothing done ruined whole night never expected that's why I went when I did went by previous experience.

While doing…read morethe initial intake, an angry parent came in demanding to know why he was being charged almost $500 for a bandaid for his son when they ran out of stitches and couldn't properly care for his child. Against my better judgement, I stayed to be seen. First red flag was when they wrote my personal medical history down in a note pad instead of typing it in a secure on-line portal. That violates hipaa, god forbid the wrong person picks up that notebook and starts reading it. I got x-rayed and told that they cant see anything on the x-ray but I might have a fracture and to make an appointment with my podiatrist. I was given an ace bandage and crutches because they don't provide medical boots. They then gave me pushback when asking for my preferred pharmacy due to the fact that it is over an hour away from them, even though I told them i didnt want any pain medication. I only wanted my injury documented and wanted a mobility aid. Despite the fact that they took my insurance information, a few weeks later I recieved a text message from them, stating I owed $481 for my visit, when I have a $0 copay per my insurance. After not receiving an EOB from my insurance company, I called my case manager who informed me that they had no record of my urgent care visit. I then called AtlantiCare's customer service line only to find out they did not even have my insurance information on file. I, once again, provided my insurance information and it is now covered, saving me from having to pay the almost $500 for my visit. Be very careful upon going to this location. If you know you have a $0 copay for urgent care centers and receive a bill from them, make sure you call your insurance company before paying a single penny.

I went in for a finger that needed care from a deep cut in my finger caused by a dog bite. It was…read morenear closing time and I was seen immediately and received excellent care from Pat and Juanita. They did not rush me out and were very thorough in their explanation for follow up care after flushing the finger and stitching it. They even gave me the band aids I would need to use and the antibiotic ointment plus called in a prescription for augmentin. I was also given a tetanus shot. I highly recommend this clinic for any urgent care needs.

I…read morearrived at AtlantiCare Urgent Care on Route 73 in Berlin, NJ around 7:20, just 40 minutes prior to closing. Quite frankly, I felt badly about the late arrival because I was aware that between intake, cleaning/irrigating the wound, having X-rays to determine if shards of glass remained in my finger and stitching the cut would result in a late departure for the staff. From the moment I approached the reception/in-take desk, to being treated by the medical assistant, I believe her name was Jennifer, to having X-rays taken and read and finally being evaluated and stitched by NP Laurel, I left the center around 8:40. Every individual whom I encountered welcomed me warmly and professionally, put me at ease, and provided great care. Despite my numerous apologies for keeping them late, all they said was, "I'm so glad you made it here before we closed". The staff at AtlantiCare Urgent Center Berlin, NJ are exemplary. The surgical center has a nice courtyard type (indoor) seating area with a refreshment stand that sells snacks to drinks and sandwiches. Comfortable place to wait while someone has a procedure.

First and foremost, the place was very clean. Next, everyone from reception to the medical team were professional with a caring attitude. Something that's hard to find anymore in the medical arena.
