Patient First Primary and Urgent Care was a reassuring and well-run option when I needed care while away from home. I was on holiday and unfortunately became sick, so convenience and efficiency mattered. The clinic itself was bright, clean, and well organized. There was a welcome station at the entrance with hand sanitizer and face masks, and check-in was handled through a digital system. I received text updates showing my place in the queue, which even allowed me to wait in my car if I wanted. Despite the clinic being busy, the total time from check-in to check-out was about 1 hour and 10 minutes, which felt very reasonable. The level of care and customer service was top notch. A medical assistant greeted me and brought me back, followed by a nurse who took my vitals and asked if I needed water or a blanket. While waiting for the doctor, two additional staff members stopped by just to check in and see if I needed anything, which really stood out. Dr. Miles was caring, efficient, and thorough, and got me on my way with a clear plan and medication. The only thing keeping this from a full five stars was a prescription mix-up that required me to use a paper copy instead of it being sent directly to the pharmacy. Thankfully, it was an easy fix. AVOID- **they will bill you even if you are not seen** I waited in a waiting room for over an hour (not busy). Did not get seen by any provider. I then left because I had waited OVER AN HOUR. I asked the receptionist if I was going to get billed. She said no, because I was not seen. Then an hour after I left I get a call asking where I was because my room was ready. I said that I told the receptionist that I was leaving. This was going to be 2 hours after I would have shown up. Now 2 weeks later I get a bill for $166. Which obviously I am not going to pay because I was not seen. Avoid avoid avoid! read more

I have to write a review for this place bc I think it should come in as 5 stars. I've been seen & diagnosed for respiratory infections and strained muscles over the past 2 years. I was treated for the flu. I appreciate that I can be seen the same day I make the appointment, as opposed to having to wait days or weeks with a family Dr., the the Dr's you see here are professional, compassionate, and knowledgeable. It's too bad the docs there aren't available as primary care providers, I really like all 3 that I've seen. read more

When i first got there, i had a qyestio of for the doctor that she disnt answer, the receptionist even agreed. The xray tech was good. The final doctor just about talked to me and never told me follow up instructions or offered me a prescription. I was there because of a hard fall. Would not recommend this place, find another. read more

The receptionist and the nurse who took my vitals were both fine. The wait was very short. I gave the woman who took my vitals a long list of why I was there. I felt like I might have a uti and I was concerned because I had fallen on a huge stainless steel bin and I had a gigantic hematoma on my chest. I had chills but no fever and the chills were violent. I gave a urine sample and waited to see the doctor. He came to the room and stood in the doorway and said he was giving me an Rx for antibiotics because I did have a uti. I asked him about my chest and told him everything hurts from the fall. I told him I was worried about a blood clot. He said not to worry about that. No exam. He never walked into the room. I asked about my violent chills and he said he didn't know why. And that was that. It was CONDESCENDING and I have never had a worse doctor/patient experience in my life!! read more

Okay this place isn't terrible but I have concerns. I went to them around 9:15 PM last night (10/29) and I was seen right away. They had a lab supervisor/guy in a purple shirt (he had a very athletic build) who took my vitals and he was honestly a caring member of your staff. I love the fact that you have a genderqueer/non binary option on your intake forms. I think that's awesome and deserves recognition. The wait time was next to non-existent, and that was also really great. So why am I only giving them two stars? (TMI so bear with me) I came in with the chief complaint of bleeding through three pads in an hour and a massive headache. Well for some reason, the person taking my information decided to not put this down on my chart as a complaint and only mentioned a headache. I reminded them multiple times that I was bleeding profusely and that I had my period (which again I needed to repeat to the doctors every time). I was sent to the ER with a "headache" as my diagnosis. Thank god they sent me to the ER because I received a diagnosis that fit my symptoms and can be treated correctly as a result. In addition, I identify as a non binary person. Every time the staff addressed me, they used the pronouns of she/her/hers, and called me Ms. or M'am. While having the genderqueer option on your intake form is considered "progressive" what good is it if your staff misgenders a person every time? If you can't wrap your head around the pronouns they/them, use the patients first name instead. Perhaps using Mx (pronounced Mix, aka the gender neutral term for Mr/Ms ) might be a good starting point. Just do ANYTHING OTHER than what you did last night. Please get someone to do a training/presentation for your staff on this in the near future. I'm concerned about the specializations your staff hold. Please don't call yourselves an urgent care if you don't have trauma doctors on staff at all times. A general practitioner doesn't count, you need an actual doctors that are trained in that particular field of medicine. Calling ambulances and just immediately referring patients to the ER is sometimes necessary but shouldn't be your first go to option. Perhaps I'm holding PatientFirst at too high of a standard but I think you can do better. I'd recommend them to people who need physical forms filled out for work or sports, or if they aren't dealing with something beyond a minor injury. Everyone at this Urgent Care are caring, helpful, friendly and very professional from Nancy at the front desk to every Nurse and Dr. I highly recommend them. They treated me like I was their only patient. I started coughing and one of the nurses ran and brought me a cup of ice water. Says a lot about how far they go for each patient. Don't waste your time. There was a compressive yet inefficient computerized check in system, followed by a repetitive intake process. With 2 doctors on staff and less than 3 patients ahead of us, the time it took to be seen by a doctor was unnecessarily long, probably because the doctors weren't actually seeing patients, they were talking to each other. Not only did the doctor not review all of the issues that brought us there, but we were also proscribed an antibiotic that their pharmacy did not have on site. I don't expect doctors to know everything, but I would expect them to prescribe something at least available at their own pharmacy - especially when it's a basic antibiotic. The local chain pharmacy only had 1/2 of the prescribed dose and while they were ordering more, I've now been told 5 days later that it's on back order and to call the doctor and request a different antibiotic. The fact that my insurance or I will receive a bill for these services is appalling. The only redeeming part of the experience was the very nice medical assistant who takes your blood pressure, height and weight. read more

Horrible from the moment you walk in. I entered this patient first on a Monday around 12 in the afternoon and the waiting room was empty. This didn't stop them from making you wait for 20 minutes to just sign you in. Not a friendly welcoming face to be seen. The service and empathy for its patients was non-exsistent which only adds to the horrible feeling of a sick patient. I would not send my pet here let alone a human being. Keep driving if you think you deserve decent service and empathy. read more

I had an excellent visit today. I stayed home sick from work and went to this location around 12:15pm as a walk-in (on a Monday) First, I signed in on the computer screen with name and birthdate. Then, I was called to meet with the front desk office and they collected information, insurance, contact info, etc. from me. Then, I was called back and a medical staff member took my vitals. Lastly, I was seen by Doctor Jonathan Fagel who was very respectful and present, and had a prescription sent and filled at my pharmacy. I was done my visit within 30 minutes - maybe I was lucky since it was a weekday when many schools are still in session and people are at work. Many of my family members have gone there as well. I still have primary care which is better with continuity and patient history, but I feel urgent care centers and primary care are not mutually exclusive. Patient First is a great place to get checked out when you're worried about an injury or feeling under the weather and want to see a doctor quickly. FYI if you have a medical flex spending card bring it, or be prepared to swipe credit card at the beginning of the visit in the front office, as they use that for the visit to charge you if insurance does not cover certain things. read more

Finally called Patient First and was reassured by Kimberly that all would be well. I am compromised for COVID and was terrified. When I got there, she thoroughly cleaned everything in the room I would give my info...even the pen! And then Dr Boulatoff was so patient and reassuring. We had a great experience today at this location. My daughter was having pain in her ear (suspected swimmers ear). We were new to the location so they had us quickly fill out paperwork and we were seen by a doctor afterwards within 5 minutes. A very pleasant experience all around and would definitely return. I had been putting off visiting my doctor for weeks due to a persistent cough in the hopes that it would resolve itself over time- after coming to the realization that it was only worsening, I decided to go to Patient First. If you're like me and hate having to do the "run around" with doctor's visits (I.e. Referrals, multiple visits, pharmacy trips) then this place is for you. They performed my chest X-ray, did multiple tests, and filled my prescriptions for me all in the same location. Best part- I was in and out within a half hour. Also, the nurses, doctors and receptionists were so nice and the facility itself was clean and comfortable. Great overall experience. read more

I would give zero stars if I were able. I saw the ad for free covid antibody testing. Checked with my insurance to make sure it was free. Went in with my husband and asked for the test. ONLY THE TEST. Was not aware that they also charge for a doctor's visit. We could have gone to a lab and paid nothing. We were billed over $300. The facility wanted us to take our masks off to take our temperatures. We refused and they did it under our arms. How could a medical facility not own a forehead thermometer. I started commenting on their fb page when people asked if the test was really free. Patient First would never give a direct answer. Patient First disabled my ability to comment on their fb site because I told the truth of how much it might cost with the added office visit that is never mentioned --Patient First has since taken off the word free in their ad. Maybe I did some good before they banned me. They need to practice more transparency about their billing practices. read more

Dr Smith and the nurses were very attentive, took the time to understand the symptoms, and directed me to a resolution in less than an hour. They were very straight and to the point, knew their business, and ensured I understood my next steps for treatment. I did not feel like a "number" but more like a long standing patient who was provided the care and attention for my visit that day. A "Patient First," who is now a patient forever whenever I have a medical need. This place is hit or miss. I work in healthcare and I was impressed with my first visit. I was so impressed that I referred family and friends here. I took my daughter and got the same Dr. that I saw. She was excellent. Then I went in with severe pain and saw the worst Dr I have ever been seen by. The entire process was horrible. The office staff wasn't any better. On top of receiving terrible care Patient First must have messed something up with the billing and I just received a letter from a bill collector demanding more in collection fees than my copay! I don't know why I am receiving a bill for the copay. They won't even see you until you provide a credit card. I sat there in excruciating pain and provided them with all my credit card and verified all of my information which has not changed since the first time I went to this awful place. I'm wondering if they are possibly trying to change me for the follow up appointment in which I walked out and swore never to return (without being seen). I went to the new Virtua Urgent Care In Haddon Township where I received excellent care. After my last experience here I will never set foot in this horrid place again. With so many other urgent cares to choose from, avoid this one at all costs. You could not pay me to go here again. Rude and incompetent pretty much sums it up. read more
