The front desk and nursing staff were courteous and professional; however, my experience with the doctor was very disappointing. The provider demonstrated a complete lack of bedside manner and empathy. Rather than listening to my concerns, the doctor minimized and made light of my PTSD, which resulted from an attempted assault I experienced at work. I expected a higher standard of professionalism and basic compassion, particularly when discussing sensitive medical and psychological issues. While the support staff were respectful and efficient, the conduct of the doctor left me feeling dismissed and devalued. I will not be returning to this location. read more

They were all caring, friendly, and helpful. 0 stars for Christopher Bennett the Nurse Practioner with whom my husband had a follow up appointment for a work injury. He was condescending, would not listen to our input, very rude, and treated my husband, who is extremely hard-working and a nice guy, like he's just trying to get out of work when all he wants to do is find out what's wrong, heal, and get back to work. When my husband asked him to stop being rude, he denied it completely. He hadn't even introduced himself and clearly hadn't looked at my husband's record before rushing into an abrupt examination. But from the time I was called back for my testing Ken made me so comfortable, he was warm and friendly and because of his genuine personality and love for his patients. For medical care: Never on time, even the first appointment of the day. Not uncommon to have 20 people in the waiting room. Waiting room chairs are oily where too many people have sat in them. Staff members often ask the same question multiple times. Office staff can be unprofessional (laughing, gossiping, eating). For physical therapy: Always on time. The therapists are friendly and seem vested in your health. They are gentle while they are working with you. read more

Do NOT visit this location. I woke up with severe sciatica pain one morning this week, drove to the facility and told them my symptoms. After filling out numerous forms and waiting two and a half hours in intense discomfort, a miserable nurse made me walk, which was extremely painful, to the very last patient room. After awhile, the doctor, Dr. Friedman, walked in and instantly told me that I need to go to my primary doctor instead. My primary doctor is closed on Fridays, which is why I had gone to the care center to begin with. I explained as much, and he told me that I'd need to go to the ER in that case. I find it unfortunate that the receptionists couldn't adequately glean all relevant information from a patient prior to being seen by the doctor hours later. An apathetic apology I received from a man at the front desk as I demanded my co-pay back just simply wasn't enough. read more

DOT physical reinstatement. After 30+ years of being a driver never having a problem getting your medical card. I will make a long story very short. The so-called Doctor Who was really a physicians assistant told me that due to my body mass index and my 17 inch neck I would need to go to sleep apnea. But as I found out these are only guidelines by Federal motor carrier they are not rules. I am a little overweight not much. Very active and very alert. No medications no health problems nothing. I felt as though she was trying to downplay my health. And I also feel that Concentra is getting kickbacks from the company who they suggested I see for sleep apnea. Which I have no problem sleeping. Absolutely unbelievably ridiculous to take advantage of the working man by trying to get him into the system of paying money for nothing. I will go see my primary Doctor Who is a DOT doctor and get a thorough physical and an unbiased opinion about my health status. I suggest that anyone going for a DOT physical stay clear from Concentra and see a primary Doctor Who does DOT physical's. I will never return to Concentra for anything. read more

The facility was clean. The CNAs and Doctor were pleasant. But the patient registrar staff leaves me speechless, and not in a good way. I went in for a physical and a drug screening for work. I was told to email in my script which I did. At the end of the visit, I wanted a copy of the paperwork as a record that I was there and all things have been completed. I was reprimanded and told I am not entitled to any paperwork as I am not the one paying for the services - my potential employer is. In the end, we find out a week later that they ended up only giving me a physical and did not run my drug screen. They claim that I did not have authorization for a drug screen. I was adamant that I gave them the authorization. I even forwarded the original email I sent to them. Even with evidence that they were negligent and cost me financial losses and a job opportunity, they did not even apologize but still stood by their stance that I never provided proof of authorization for a drug screen even though it was clearly sent and received by them. I know there was nothing that they could do as they already dumped my urine sample, but a simple apology for the incident would have been nice. This was a very unpleasant ending. I am inclined to follow up with a lawsuit. read more

Worst urgent care. Not sure why they need to put "urgent care" on their name, they don't even know what urgent means. I came for TB result reading, came in at 1:30PM and got out 3:35PM. Nobody even cared to tell me that I am cleared to leave they left me in the room waiting. I understand there they have other patients and that their time is valuable, but patients' time are also valuable. Went to get a PPD for work. Woman at the front desk was very pleasant. Waited no longer than 10 minutes. Very quick service. My only concern was that the lady who performed the PPD shot didnt wear gloves.. ? I didn't like that. Two days after receiving my PPD shot I when back to get it checked, which was quick. Before I left a manager told me he read my initial review. He apologized on behalf of his MA for not wearing gloves and assure me that won't happen again. However the nurse that accommodated me was polite and attentive. I guess I'm in sync with the others who've written a review for this joint. It's a joke. Monica at the front desk is a frazzled, disorganized person who needs to put down the Red Bull and get another person to assist her. The phone rang constantly and she was frantically trying to answer it and continue to do her work. The other girl behind the desk barked out such things as, "Mr. Rodriguez, you're here for a drug screening, right?"...a TOTAL violation of HIPAA (patient privacy). When I arrived at 835am, there was only one other person in the waiting room. As I lingered there, several others came in behind me. Four people who arrived after I did were taken back before me. Now, it may be that they were there for a simple urine test or something but that doesn't matter. This is (or should be) a first-come, first-served facility unless there is a true emergency that comes in. I even checked the box that said I was having trouble breathing that apparently was of no concern to getting prompt attention. After waiting over an hour, I asked for my copay to be refunded and I left. Monica said the reason for my wait was that someone came in with a laceration. Sorry to hear that...but I don't care. Thankfully I had the right frame of mind to get my refund before I was taken back to an exam room where I likely would have waited even longer for care. I waited in the exam room for over 30 minutes now and when asked if someone was coming they said "you're next" okay well that was 15 minutes ago. The place was a joke. I was at the location off Germantown Ave. The woman who did the PPD was not a nurse. I was in the waiting room and watched the Dr person, whoever he was, arrive in teh back 10 minutes after they opened. Waited and waited. The second "nurse" person who came back to do a second physical which i already had done. I had only needed the PPD at that point. Too many people in the waiting room for a pandemic. This place is awful. I had to come here for workers comp. The reception staff are extremely rude and talk about patients as soon as they leave. They shout out what people are coming in for. "Mike, are you here for the drug test?" Which I'm pretty sure is against privacy policies. The girls working the front desk are extremely chatty and often give no updates on wait time. There were times I waited over an hour to see a doctor. The only saving grace at this place is the physical therapist, Brian. (He deserves 5 stars) He is very knowledgeable and helped me understand an everything that is going on. There seems to be a lack of communication at this place. The PT told me I still needed to take it easy and continue therapy and the doctor discharged me back to regular duty. It is a mess. Needless to say, I will only be going to my family practice from now on. read more

First, I had to fill out several pages of paperwork. Then I sat for 15 minutes before I was called back to an exam room. A nurse took my vitals and told me the doctor would be in shortly. I sat, and sat, and sat, and sat for what seemed an eternity. Nobody even stopped in to give me an update. Finally, after sitting in the exam room for about 40 minutes, I stuck my head out and asked if I could wait in the waiting room instead. Just as I asked that, the doctor came out and both she and the other staff acted as though I was being completely ridiculous to make such a request. I explained to them that I had been sitting in the examining room approaching an hour and the doctor started to roll her eyes, argue and disagree with me about the length of time I had been waiting. She even laughed at me, as though I was being completely unreasonable. She didn't seem to care that I was upset and in pain, and demonstrated no compassion or customer service skills whatsoever. No, I will tell you what is unreasonable: bringing a patient back to an examining room when the doctor won't be ready to see the patient for over 40 minutes. Making a patient sit on an exam table staring at undecorated walls with no television, no music, no magazines or anything else to keep the person occupied. Arguing with the patient and treating them like they are a pain in your butt because they expect to be kept updated and do not appreciate being made to sit on an examining table for over 40 minutes. Not apologizing. Having only one doctor on duty on a Saturday afternoon. To make matters worse, the regular waiting room had a t.v. blaring at full volume with an infomercial for orthodic inserts. After the argument with the doctor, I asked for my co-pay back and headed to another nearby urgent care center, MedExpress, on Route 38, where I got much, much better service. I've been here twice when my kids' pediatrician was closed. The most recent time my son had been complaining of a sore throat, but had no other symptoms. When he finally had another symptom (slight temp & throat was finally red) I took him here. I also asked they see my daugther since she was exposed to whatever her brother had, and she doesn't show symptoms when sick. Dr Steiner was very condesending and somewhat mean to me. He implied I did something wrong by waiting & made rude remarks about what I did and did not do yet. I would have walked out except I knew my kids needed antibiotics so I stayed for the beratement. He did NOT do a Strep Test (why???) and just prescribed antibiotics. He asked ME what dosage they usually get and seemed annoyed to have to figure it out himself since I'm not a doctor. As soon as they finished their antibiotics the fever went up, their real doctor confirmed strep, & they were given an antibiotic that actually works. In the meantime they most likely infected their friends by being on a weak antibiotic since they're all now coming down with it. Our first visit here was because I was told to take my son here by the Minute Clinic at CVS, since she said my son was wheezing and needed a nebulizer. By the time he was seen the doctor (not Dr Steiner) said he was not wheezing, but did have an ear infection. I can't be sure which person was right. I most definitely will not be going back to Concentra Urgent Care. Even the Minute Clinic does a strep test if you go in with a red throat and temperature. That's just absurd and I wasted money at Concentra plus prescriptions that didn't even work. read more

Upon arrival I specifically told the front desk receptionist I would like him (pointing to my 16 mo old Gtandson) to see a Dr. I then asked the receptionist if they honored our specific insurance, she replied "yes, sign in and have a seat. After sitting in the lobby and observing a completely confused receptionist attempt to figure out how to accommodate 4 men for a resperator test for over 30 minutes , she called us to the front and asked " what can I do for you?" I then replied again " I would like him to see a Dr" again pointing to my 16 mo old Grandson. The receptionist then informed me " we don't see children under 2" You couldnt tell me that when I first walked in and made it clear why I was there ! I don't like waiting long and I hate crowds so that's why I came here for my DOT physical instead of going to that cattle call in Philly on the Blvd. Pleasant staff, huge building and plenty of parking. I came for a little physical for work. During my long wait in the waiting room I got accused of "recording a nurse" even though my phone was on my email when she claimed I was recording her. She came over to me and asked if I was recording her and I polity said no and showed her I was in my email. When I got called back I kept getting asked if I recorded her "home girl" which is completely unprofessional. When I'm at work I can't talk to patients like we are buddies so why can you. Save your time and money. I would give this place a minus 1 but the ratings don't go that low. This is a gyp joint, a money mill and they only want your money. I went there for something very minor with my foot. I should have known something was off when I had to pay $179 before seeing a doctor. I waited for three hours, the doctor looked at my foot long enough to say he couldn't do anything and I would have to see a podiatrist. That took maybe five seconds. Since he didn't do anything, I asked for my $179 back and they refused to refund my money. I might as well have taken my money and thrown it in the street. I got nothing, no service, no care, nothing. I work hard for my money and can't afford to spend $179 and get nothing for it!!! This is the worst medical center ever. If you have any issue at all, save yourself the hassle and go to the ER. You will pay more in the long run but they have real doctors at the ER who can do something for you so it's worth it. read more
