Sadly, I believe the Amoxicillan while high in dosage was not prescribed for a long enough time frame at only 5 days. SO... I returned b/c the issue had not resolved and had evolved into a slight lower lung rattle - which I feel but is likely not audible. Despite having LOST MY VOICE COMPLETELY for 15 days, I labored to explain what was going on. Like others at my school -- I tested negative for strep, but need a 2nd round of antibiotics to resolve the issue. In the middle of explaining, in walks some other person. She did not introduce herself but wore a white lab coat. She made me repeat everything that was just said, although I suspect she had been LISTENING in based soley on her timing to enter. THEN, she says MINUTE CLINIC does not TREAT ppl MY age (OVER 50), with a chronic cough b/c of the risk of pneumonia. Instead of just prescribing another ANTIBIOTIC, they believed they needed to rule out pneumonia and rx I go to Urgent Care, then told me where the nearest one was located. On top of that, they went on to say I needed an xray, which others at my school paid to have done and it was negative for pneumonia. So no matter what I do now, it will cost upwards of several hundreds more dollars to get well and take another 2 weeks. AS it is, my last visit cost $53 dollars WITH insurance and all they did was a strep test.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Teacher salary does not afford this kind of cost for health care. Such a COMPLETE WASTE of time. AND to be told in person that chronic coughs will not be treated for ppl my age is absolutely unacceptable. That should be explained somewhere in the 35 pages of information we read just to schedule the appointment. I could have spent my time and money AT URGENT CARE instead. This was not proper care and treatment of my illness the first go round. And I returned to give MC the chance to rectify and I was turned away. I now believed b/c of improper treatment at the onset, I have developed pneumonia. DON'T go here for anything serious or you will pay for treatment and test but not actually recover, and then there is no recourse but more pain and suffering. Shame on this place.

We have been here now for over an hour and have only been triaged. That was after they 25-minute wait in the waiting room to fill out a short novel about a one-year-old's medical history. the good thing that I can save as far as that the staff is very friendly. Not efficient, but friendly. I'll update once I see the provider if she ever comes in. Edit: wouldn't you know that less than two minutes after I wrote this the provider came in. She is awesome! She actually sat down with us went over everything, answered all of my questions, and did a very thorough examination of my boy. She set him up for referrals just to make sure that her suspicions can be ruled out or treated. I'm very impressed with her, not so much with the wait time... but just for her I will add another star and continue to come back.

The office staff is incredibly rude. They fail to execute basic administrative tasks that allow for…read moreless troublesome visits. Unfortunately, they're extremely dismissive. They overbook and don't currently have enough providers to see everyone in a timely fashion. They would also benefit from hiring a professional cleaning service, the grime should not be visible in every room.

Came in about an hour before they closed. They were not busy. I was checked in, had my vitals…read moretaken, saw the doctor, and had a prescription within 20 minutes. Everyone was nice and ready to help. When I went to the pharmacy a couple minutes away they had already received my prescription. Whoever runs this branch of Urgent Care should give the Charlotte Hall branch some pointers.

I had a great experience at this Urgent Care. I'm new to the area and went in with sore throat…read moresymptoms around 11am on a Friday. I couldn't find this location on Yelp so I came to google just to review. I was in and out. I filled out one sheet of paper and signed some others. I don't even know if it was legible because that's how bad I felt. I waited like 5 minutes and the front desk receptionist, Fran was super funny and kind. She had great energy which was needed that early. Her attitude helped make the process faster and she even said I could finish the papers later if I get called back. She offered me water. The tech that came to see me in the room Heather was pleasant and informative. She didn't jam the swab up my nose like most caregivers. The entire staff had smiles the entire time. Dr. Bernon was pleasant and extra cautious, he had me do an X-ray just to be sure it wasn't bronchitis. Oh and the X-rays are in-house!! That was a relief. The whole process was maybe 45 max. That's one of the fastest visits I've had at urgent care. He didn't just send me home saying have some tea and rest. He gave me prescriptions for my cough and congestion. He even gave a doctors note without even asking! I'm happy with my service and I'll be back when I have any medical issues...hopefully a long time from now though. What I'm saying is, I recommend this location.
