Except for labs I have had 25+ visits when I have left satisfied. Labs are great (the blood-taker lady is sooo good); they just run a bit slow. Count for a 30 minute wait and I have tried all sorts of navigations to find the fast time - without results. Take a book. The front desk performs effortlessly. Never have I gotten a wrong bill. Prescription refills and nurses by phone are a breeze. Did I say I also love my Doctor?

I was told that they couldn't refill my medicine unless I came into the office because I hadn't been there since November. So I used MD Live to get refills because I was going out of town and couldn't go in. I called yesterday to make my appointment and told them that I needed to come in for refills on my medicine because they wouldn't fill it. They asked me who prescribed it and I said Jennifer Pope. They made me an appointment with her. My appointment was this morning at 8:30. I waited 40 mins to get called back. When I get back there I confirm that I need refills with the nurse. I also told her that my ear is bothering me and I might have an ear infection that I'd like the doctor to look at it. Then I was put through a depression survey. Nurse leaves then the doctor comes in. She told me that she can only give me a 30 day supply because Doctor Bell requires labs and an annual exam to obtain your refills. I stated that the office staff never explained that and I have basically wasted my time today and I would've made an appointment for what was required for the refills. She apologized and said she would find out why that happened with the office staff. She left the room. I realized that she didn't look at my ear and stepped out and told the nurse. The nurse came back and said that she was already with another patient. I said I can wait. Then she mentioned that I need to come back for my annual and I cut her off and said no, I won't be waiting for my ear to be looked at until my next appointment and I wasn't going to leave until she did. Nurse leaves. I hear whispering in the hall and what sounds like then she can wait. Enter the office manager. She begins to explain to me their annual exam requirements etc. I cut her off and tell her that isn't why I am upset. I'm upset because I told the nurse I needed my ear looked at and was told I that I needed to make another appointment because she doesn't have time. Mind you the doctor wasn't in my room longer than 3 minutes and I offered to wait and I had told the nurse about my ear before the doctor came in. She went out of the room to find out the situation from the nurse. I heard them whispering about what the timeline was when I asked about the doctor looking at my ear. Then I waited for 10 more minutes and nobody came back. As I sat there it dawned on me that the office manager had said that it was in November that I had seen Dr. Bell and had an annual which means that it hasn't even been a year since my last. I decided that I didn't want those people looking at my ear and would find a competent doctor with a competent staff that hopefully will give a crap about their patients.

I was thank and treated her well. this year my application got so screwed up that I still haven't got my meds. I had to conta her several times to correct it. she made so many mistakes like missing dosage, no medicine chosen and failing to fax my application. She got to the point she was blaming me for her mistakes. she has become unethical and not trustworthy. I'll be leaving south Baldwin because my complaints fell on deaf ears. senior doctors failed to do anything. As far as I see it they also are unet. patient cat should be 1 st. not so at this clinic. Nor with Dr Hendricks.

Freestanding ER.... They do not have rooms to admit you into…read more 2 times we have had to use it and both times 100% satisfied. It is a ER.....not an urgent care. Those that are not an emergency have to wait. We were rushed in quickly and the doctor was able to "fix" us up. Sting ray stings is a medical emergency. Venom neutralized, x rays done, wound cleaned and antibiotics given.... All within an hour! They bill insurance directly for you.

The shrink doctor deemed that I was in good shape but I had disclosed that I typically only sleep about four hours every night which apparently raised a red flag, or two, which resulted in the roundabout referral. One more note before moving on to the sleep disorder doc, staying up late and getting up early started when I was very young because my Dad worked the 2nd shift and my Mom worked the 3rd shift. I would see my Mom off to work & wait up for my Dad. We'd hang for a bit, sometimes eat a bowl of cornflakes on the porch then it would be midnight or later before hitting the sack then of course up early for school. Then there's waking up at 2:30AM to do morning radio for years, my love if sunrises, etc. well the point is my sleep habits are as old as I am and just didn't seem to be an issue. But there we were, on the way to a sleep doctor. My first consult was simply Dr. Houston calling to do a brief screen and scheduling me for a sleep study at the Sleep Center of the Gulf Coast in Foley, AL. (review forthcoming) where I had a very pleasant experience. Soon afterwards I received a call from Dr. Houston who informed me that I had horrible sleep apnea. Okay I am very familiar with sleep apnea from my years in the medical field AND the years I've spent managing #1 son's really awful sleep apnea. However I don't snore, I don't dream, I don't wake up tired or with palpations and I'm a heavy REM sleeper but I just seem to always wake up before sunrise, it's just not a symptomatically obvious case to me. I got a CPAP machine in the mail, did a telehealth orientation for the unit (thanks to Covid) and I haven't heard back from the sleep doctor to date. I am scheduled for a follow up with him in the future but that's the extent of my interactions. Bottom line: I'm not ready to voice any suppositions at this point but CPAP is a great technology for those who need them and quite frankly nearly every breathing human being could benefit from using one every night. However I am skeptical about my need for this machine and have a little bit of skecptism the process that I experienced to get here.
